Smart Dollars Club claims you can make $300 on your first day by taking surveys.
But is Smart Dollars Club a scam or is it, in fact, a legit and extremely high-paying survey site?
As always, I have joined the site to test it myself.
Let me reveal right away that there are a lot of things you are not told before joining.
This Smart Dollars Club review will show you all the details and show you why you should NOT expect $300 on your first day.
What is Smart Dollars Club and what does the site offer?
The first thing that came to my mind when I visited Smart Dollars Club website was the lack of details about what the site offers.
It was mostly just a landing page where you can see it is possible to join and earn by taking surveys. I saw a couple of different landing pages depending on how I got to the site.
But overall they give you the impression that it is like most other survey sites – you just simply have to join for free to get access to paid surveys.
However, since I have joined so many survey sites, I immediately saw something that made me concerned about this claim.
As you can see in the image above, Smart Dollars Club says that it will find the best offers for you. I know that when a site says this, it mostly means that you will not actually be able to take surveys on the site itself.
So this was a big red flag for me. But we will go into what then actually happens after you join a little later.
We first have to look at another claim you see on the sales page of Smart Dollars Club. You are told that by just entering your email and signing up, you will get access to a bonus survey that will pay you $100 right away.
I have taken many surveys, and $100 surveys are VERY rare. So this seemed too good to be true.
Not only are you promised to get $100 more or less right away. Smart Dollars Club says on the landing page that it guarantees you will get $300+ days with their offers.
This is a very bold guarantee. In general, you will rarely see any online money-making opportunities guarantee anything as there are many things that will affect the results.
And I have never before seen any survey site make a guarantee like this.
What made me even more worried about this was that there was no earnings’ disclaimer on the website, and I could not find any information about the company behind.
So there are in my opinion a lot of red flags even before joining. But I decided to join to test what will then happen, so let’s now look at that.

What happens after you join?
It is seemingly very easy to join Smart Dollars Club. You just have to give your email to join the club.
I have created a video where I explain and show why it is, however, not so easy after all. You can also read all the details below the video if you prefer reading:
Normally when you give your email to join a survey site, you get to a members area right after. In some cases, you also just first have to confirm your email and then you get to the members area.
This was however not what happened on Smart Dollars Club.
I just got an email with a link to take my first $100 survey. Obviously I was skeptical about this claim, but of course, I had to give it a try to see what happened.
It turns out the link is, of course, a promotional link, and Smart Dollars Club will get paid to refer people to the site they send it to. So when I clicked the link, I was sent to a survey router called Zen Surveys.
What was very interesting was the first message that was written in red right below where I had to put my email again.
Here it clearly says “we don’t pay $100 to answer a few questions” – very different from the mail I just clicked the link from.
After giving my email here, I had to fill out some info about myself, and then I ended up being sent to another survey router. At this point I just closed the browser – I had seen enough.
From what I have seen in other Smart Dollars Club reviews, it is not always the same site people are sent to after clicking the link in the email. I, for example, saw somebody else was redirected to iSurveyWorld, which in my opinion is a big waste of time.
So it seems that where you are sent to might change from time to time depending on the offer Smart Dollars Club wants to get paid to promote.
Not long after I gave up on the first email I received, I got another one.
This time I was told that I was one of the lucky few to qualify for the $100 survey.
Suddenly they mention that their program is very competitive and only accepts less than 1% of all applications. This is very different information from the first email and from what is on the website.
In my opinion, this is just a trick to make you feel special. Obviously, they will be happy to promote to more than 1% of the applicants. And as I already showed, you will not really get access to a $100 survey anyway.
This time the link took me to a casino site. I tried the link a few times, and every time it took me to a different offer.
So once again just an email with a promotional link and exaggerated claims.
This is what you really get after joining Smart Dollars Club.
And after this, you will start receiving promotional emails regularly. So far I have seen no offers that can even take you anywhere the $300 per day they promise before you sign up.
How do you get paid?
If it is not clear yet, I just want to make one thing clear – you will NOT actually get paid by Smart Dollars Club.
You do not take surveys or anything else on the site. You will just get promotional links to other sites where you potentially can earn by taking surveys.
Sometimes the links will however in my experience also take you to something that has nothing to do with paid surveys.
In general, survey and get-paid-to sites do however offer great reward methods. There are for example sites that pay through PayPal, you can get Amazon gift cards, prepaid Visa, products, gift cards, and more if you join the actual sites.
You will however not earn any of these rewards on Smart Dollars Club itself.
How much money can you make?
One of the big claims of Smart Dollars Club is that you can earn $300 per day by taking surveys and other tasks the site offers.
They even guarantee this according to the website, as I showed an image of earlier in this review.
Overall, it is definitely possible to make $300 per day online – but NOT by taking paid surveys and other small online tasks. This is just not a realistic claim.
Even if you join all the highest paying survey sites, you will not get to this amount.
You can make some really nice extra money by joining paid survey and get-paid-to sites. It is however NOT a way to make a full-time income or become rich. You should stay away from any site that claims this.
It is a great and easy way to make some extra cash online, but you need to do it with the right expectations, and in my opinion, Smart Dollars Club does not give realistic expectations.
Who can join?
It seems that you, in theory, can join Smart Dollars Club no matter where you live.
But no matter where you live, it does not really make sense to join in my opinion. There are so many other great survey sites that actually pay you and give you opportunities on the site itself, so why waste time on a site like Smart Dollars Club?
Final verdict – legit or scam?
It is clear that I do not think Smart Dollars Club has much to offer.
If this will then be considered to be a survey scam or just a poor legit site, I will leave up to you to decide.
Before deciding if you might want to give it a try, let’s sum up the pros and cons of the site, so you can get a better overview.
- Claims you can make $300 easily by joining
- You are told you will get a $100 survey right away
- The links in the emails you get after joining are just promotional links
- There is no info about the company behind the website
- It guarantees things that cannot be guaranteed
I can honestly not find any positive things to say about Smart Dollars Club. Yes, it is free to join, but this does not make it worth it in my opinion.
The claims they make to get you to sign up is in my opinion giving paid survey sites a bad name. It is very unclear what the site actually offers before you join, and everything about the site is just too pushy and exaggerated in my opinion.
It is therefore clearly NOT a site I recommend.
If you want to make some extra cash by taking paid surveys and doing other small online micro tasks, there are many great opportunities. You can, for example, check out the list of the best survey sites in your country here.
All of these sites are of course free to join and will give you opportunities on the sites themselves, and they will give you a realistic expectation about what you can get out of joining.
If you have any comments, questions, or have any experiences with Smart Dollars Club yourself, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.
Smart Dollars Club
- Money/time ratio
Smart Dollar Club makes a lot of exaggerated claims and in my experience, it can not at all live up to any of them. You cannot even earn on the site itself, and it is definitely NOT a site I recommend.
