LifePoints Panel Review + Rating (Full Guided Tour)

Lifepoints Panel Rating

LifePoints Panel is easy to use and has a good number of available surveys in 45+ countries. You can get paid in cash or via gift cards.

If you want to earn some extra money by taking paid surveys, you have likely heard of LifePoints Panel.

But is LifePoinst legit and worth your time, or is it a scam?

I have tested it thoroughly myself over several years, and I have compared it to the hundreds of other survey sites I have tested.

Let me reveal right away that it has potential, and you can actually earn by joining (you can see payment proof below), but it also has some unknown factors you need to consider.

In this LifePoints Panel review, you will get all the details and get an inside look so you know exactly what to expect before you join.

What is LifePoints Panel, and what does the site offer?

LifePoints Panel has been around for years, but it has just not always had this name.

The company behind is called Lightspeed and has been doing market research since 1946, which shows it has an established company behind it which is always great.

It has millions of members from all over the world (more about who can join later).

The LifePoints Panel itself is actually a merger of the two sites GlobalTestMarket and MySurvey. At the beginning of 2019, they merged into one, which is now called LifePoints.

Below I will go over both the potential the site has as a member and also some cons it has so you can get a balanced view before deciding to join or not.

I have created a video that shows you everything and gives you an inside look. You can also find all the details below the video:

Option 1 – LifePoints surveys

The LifePoints Panel is a very simple survey panel after you log in.

I do not mean this is a bad way. Sometimes the simple panels are really great because they do not have a lot of distractions and are very easy to start using.

That is also the case for LifePoints Panel.

After you sign up and confirm your email, you just have to answer a few questions and it only takes around 1 minute. Then you get access to the member area and your dashboard.

When you first join, you will likely not see any available surveys there. Do not worry about that. You will soon start receiving invitations for surveys via email.

I started receiving email invitations after around 1 day as a member. After this, you will see the available surveys when you log in.

lifepoints survey example
You can see the available LifePoints Surveys on your dashboard or just wait to receive the email invitations.

However, you do not actually have to log into LifePoints to check for available surveys. You can just wait for the emails and then click the link there that will take you to the survey.

In the emails, you can always see the reward you will get before you start.

In my experience, the rewards for the time spent are pretty decent compared to other survey sites.

Also, even though you will likely not qualify for all the surveys you are invited for, the percentage I have been accepted for has been quite high.

And the surveys I have taken have been highly relevant and about relevant political and societal topics.

This makes them interesting, and a point to remember that is often overlooked when it comes to paid surveys is that you will actually have your opinion heard on important topics.

Just be aware that some surveys only need limited respondents, so to get the best chances of qualifying, it is a good idea not to wait too long to take the survey after you receive the invitation.

Overall, LifePoints Panel is very user-friendly, and the amount of survey invitations you get is decent, in my experience.

The exact amount, of course, depends on the country you live in, and it is also a good idea to join other sites to get enough options – especially because this is the only way to earn on LifePoints.

The LifePoints surveys can definitely be worth participating in, but you just need to be aware that there might not be options every day.

Option 2 – Participate in free contests/community tab

No doubt, the main way to earn is by taking the LifePoints surveys, but the panel also sometimes offers another chance for you to earn.

You can sometimes participate in free contests as a member.

You do not have to log in to participate, but you can find an overview of the current contests through the community tab inside the member area.

lifepoints panel community task example
You can find free contests through the Community Section of the website.

However, they will usually just link to the LifePoints Facebook page, where you need to take a certain action to participate.

It can be to answer a question, stage a friend, and similar.

No matter what, they are usually very easy to participate in.

In my experience, these contests have become more frequent compared to how previosuly, and you can usually find one around once per week. The reward is usually worth $10.

Just be aware that this is a contest based on pure luck, and there are often more than 1,000 people leaving comments and participating, so the chance of winning is not great. But as an extra chance, it can be nice to participate as it does not take long.

Option 3 – Joining bonus

There is one more way to get a bit of points on LifePoints.

You get a small joining bonus after signing up.

You get 10 points just for signing up and then 10 points for confirming your email.

So the total joining bonus will only be worth around $0.30, so not a big bonus but still nice to at least get a few points right away.

Depending on your country, you can, however, also earn extra points by taking some extra profile surveys, so they are worth keeping an eye out for.

How do you get paid?

Every time you take a LifePoints survey, you earn points.

You can then get these points paid out in various ways. There is a whole store where you can select between getting paid in cash through PayPal, gift cards, or donating to charity.

lifepoints rewards examples
There are some good payout options on LifePoints.

The exact rewards available will depend on the country you live in. Personally, I think it is great you have the option to get paid in cash through PayPal or get gift cards, depending on your preferences.

What can be a bit confusing is, however, exactly what your points are worth because that depends on the reward you choose.

If you want to get $15 through PayPal, it will cost you 1150 points, but if you want a gift card to IKEA for the same amount, it would cost you 1100 points (where I live).

So this makes it a bit difficult to calculate exactly how much your points are worth. But a rough average estimation would be that 10 points are approximately worth $0.15.

The payout threshold varies, depending on the country you live in. In some countries, it starts at $5, whereas in others, it is around $10.

Just be aware that your earnings will be in your local currency.

Overall, the payout threshold is not too high, but the point system can be a bit confusing at first.

I have made a short video that shows exactly how to redeem your earnings, and I also show LifePoints payment proof so you can see it actually does pay:

How much money can you make?

The big question many people have about most survey sites is how much money they can make there.

When it comes to LifePoints Panel, it is definitely a way to make a bit of extra cash on the side.

It does have a decent amount of surveys, but it will not make you more than some extra side cash.

I would say that you should definitely also make sure to join some top paying survey sites in addition to LifePoints to get enough earning opportunities.

But as LifePoints is so simple and easy to use, it can be a nice extra addition and a nice extra survey site to join, in my opinion.

Can you use it on mobile?

mobile with lifepoints panel website

Yes, you can use LifePoints Panel on mobile and take surveys from there.

That makes it easy to use on the go, and it is always great when a survey site offers this option.

The LifePoints app is available for both iOS and Android devices.

But the website is also fully optimized for mobile, so you can also just use it that way from your mobile.

But to be able to participate on mobile, the most important thing is that you have access to your email, so you can check if you get a survey invitation and then click the invitation link in the email.

Who can join LifePoints Panel?

LifePoints is available in around 45 countries at the moment of writing this review. To join, you have to be 16 years or older.

The countries it is available in are:

Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States of America, Vietnam.

So as you can see, it is available in big parts of the world. And its panel is regularly expanding to new countries and has already expanded to more countries since I first started using it.

Can you get support?

It is always good to know you can get support if you should need it as a member of a survey site.

This is an area where LifePoints Panel has improved. When it first launched, I saw in other LifePoints reviews that there were some frustrations at times.

You can see an example of a review from Trustpilot that mentions this issue.

lifepoints review on trustpilot
There are some complaints about poor support.

Most of the complaints I have seen are in relation to problems with the merger of GlobalTestMarket and MySurvey into LifePoints Panel and the frustrations about not getting proper help about this.

It is natural that there will be some issues when several sites merge, and there might be some issues with memberships. I think most people can understand this.

But that is by now several years ago, and they seem to have improved this aspect, and I see very few complaints like this now.

I have actually also contacted the support ones myself. I must say that I got a fairly quick reply, but it seemed more like just a standardized reply that did not really answer my question fully. Luckily, it was not a technical issue, so I could still continue using the platform.

But if you join and need help, it seems the support has improved a lot since it was first launched – just be aware that it might still take some patience to get an answer.

Final verdict

LifePoints Panel is a legit survey site with long-lasting companies behind it. I have been paid by it several times myself.

But that does not mean it will be the right site for you. It definitely has both pros and cons so let's finish by summing these up so you can get a better overview before deciding to join or not.

pros

Pros:

  • Free to join
  • Easy to use
  • Good payout methods
  • Decent rewards in relation to time
cons

Cons:

  • Support is slow at times

Overall, I think LifePoints Panel can be a great extra survey site to join.

In my experience, it is very easy to use, gives decent rewards, and has good payout methods.

I do not think you should join it as the only site, as that would give you too few surveys. But as one of your chosen sites, it can be an easy way to get access to surveys.

How to join LifePoints Panel?

It is very easy to join LifePoints Panel. You just click the button below, choose your country, and you will then be taken to a short sign-up form.

Remember you need to confirm your email to get access to the surveys. You will get bonus points both for joining and for confirming your email.

  1. I have been using Lifepoints on and off for more than a year and successfully redeemed more than a $100 worth of PayPal cash and gift cards. On July 18, I attempted logging in but received a “Sorry, your membership is temporarily unavailable. Please contact our Help Center for support” message. So I e-mailed, and after waiting a day, got an e-mail back saying I “violated the point rules” and my “account had been terminated and points have been forfeited.” I responded asking why – to my knowledge I’ve done nothing wrong and always answered the surveys honestly and never used a bot – and was told the case was escalated but my account will remain closed. They never told me why my account was closed or what my alleged violation was.

So I would recommend using another survey app, lest you get too deep into this one and randomly lose your account someday for some reason they never bother to tell you. Survey Junkie works pretty well.

  2. I also did the surveys for about 2 years. Probably got about 6 or 7 Amazon gift cards. All of the sudden they said I violated the rules. I never ever did. I answered honestly and to the best of my knowledge. They also took all my points. I would never recommend this panel

    • Sorry to hear that. One thing is to make sure you do not have a VPN activated. You might not even know it but if you use one, you will get banned from all panels.

But thanks for sharing your experiences.

  3. Mike, I have been utilizing different online side hustle platforms for a few years now, as well as in person consumer market research studies. Just recently discovered your blog and videos, and you have definitely presented me with additional avenues to explore to make money online. Thank you, your knowledge and your time to create what you do has been valuable to me. LifePoints is one of my top surveying apps that I utilize on a daily. The Profile questions are very specific and so the surveys offered to me I typically qualify for and if I don’t I don’t waste 10 minutes answering pre-qualifying questions only to get denied. I answer 3 /4 questions and I am rewarded a few LifePoints if I’m not a fit. They released an update yesterday, now expanding to 3 new countries. I would love to see an updated review from you as many aspects you mentioned above are incorrect. I’m able to cash out at $5, the community tab regularly has new offers, and enjoyable surveys which you are compensated fairly for your time. This app definitely boosts my online earnings and I know your thorough review will appeal to many people looking to earn money online. Your top notch thank you!!

  4. This the worst survey platform, they never pays even after completing survey. Survey and videos in survey loads very badly. Their app and website has now become totally useless, people are leaving it. They are now sending their surveys to several other platform. Even there their survey don’t gave any points even after completion. I don’t know why companies are giving surveys to Lifepoints or Kantar, totally waste of companies and person who are replying survey by Kantar.

Personally, I have always been paid for the surveys I have completed on LifePoints, and I have heard from hundreds of my followers that they have also been paid without problems. So cannot say what has happened in your case but sounds like it is a better match for you to use other survey sites instead.
