PaidSurveyAuthority.com looks like a website where you can earn A LOT of money taking paid surveys. But is it really a great opportunity, or is it a scam website that is just full of empty promises?
If you are considering joining, you should definitely read this Paid Survey Authority review and warning before you sign up. It will save you a lot of time and money.
As you can probably already figure out, I do not think it is a site worth joining. But do not just let take my word for it without any further reasons – let me show you in this review what you have to be aware of and show you the signs that it is a site to stay away from, so you can see and decide for yourself.
If you want to save your time, you can also just right away go to the list of the best paid survey sites and check out some sites that are definitely worth joining.
What is Paid Survey Authority and what does the site offer?
The first thing you see on Paid Survey Authority is a video that explains what the site has to offer. This is a very convincing video filled with good reasons you should join.
According to this video, you can easily make a living doing paid surveys, and you only have to spend very little time doing it to make all your dreams come true.
By joining, you will get access to a members’ area with thousands of surveys that are specially selected and pay very well. The video also says that you can become a product tester and gives examples that the owner has recently for free received 1 phone, 2 laptops and 2 tablets for free just to test them.
This all sounds very appealing, buy STOP before you run off to join. Whenever I see an introduction like this on a paid survey site, it makes me very suspicious. I have done paid surveys for a long time, and by now I know that the claims this video and page make are simply just not realistic. The website in general uses all kind of tricks that I have learned to see through.
So let´s go over some of these tricks, so you can see for yourself.
Is the owner of Paid Survey Authority trustworthy?
First step to see if a survey site is legit is to look at the company or owner behind. In the case of Paid Survey Authority, the owner is called Michelle. There is even a picture of Michelle on the website.
In the intro video, Michelle says that she is known for pioneering paid surveys back in 2006 and therefore she is an authority in this area and gets access to all the secret and high-paying surveys.
Well, she is NOT known as an aoúthority in this area, because she does not actually exist. This might sound like a bold claim, but let me explain you why I say this. As mentioned, there is a picture of Michelle on the website. I ran this through an image recognition software and found that it is a stock photo. That means that it is a picture that is available to buy on several stock photo websites. So the image is just taken from one of these sites, and is not an image of the actual owner. Unless “Michelle” is also a model for stock photo websites and have decided to use the same picture for her website that is being sold to other websites – this does however seem unlikely.
That in itself is a sign that the website is trying to hide something. So let´s dig deeper into the warning signs on the site.
What does it cost to join?
Yes, it cost money to join Paid Survey Authority.
This is the number warning sign I always mention when people are going to sign up for survey sites. Never join the sites that charges you a fee to join.
The fee is usually $97, but you get a “special” discount, so you can join for $37. That of course does not sound like a lot, if you could actually make the kinds of money that Paid Survey Authority claims. Then it would pay for itself within 15 minutes.
But you should not expect it to pay for itself at all.
How much money can you make?
Paid Survey Authority claims that you can basically earn as much as you want. This is NOT true when it comes to surveys. You can make some really nice money on the side, but it will not make you rich, and you cannot make a full-time income just by working an hour a day like Paid Survey Authority claims.
When a site makes claims like this, it is clear that it is just trying to get you to pay to join to make money themselves. Further signs that you should not trust the claims are:
Fake survey calculator:
On Paid Survey Authority there is a survey calculator so you can calculate how much you can earn. You can choose how much time you are willing to spend and how many days a week. This is a nice idea, but the problem is that you can never calculate it like this. Especially because it gives you the impression that you can make as much money as you want and with very little effort. That is unfortunately just not how it works on survey sites.
Fake claims from the news:
In the intro video, it is claimed that paid surveys are so popular that they are even mentioned in the news. Then a couple of clips from news shows are shown. Among others one where a presenter says that you can make up to $5000 a month. There is however no proof that he is actually talking about paid surveys. It is a clip taken out of context to give credibility to the ridiculous claims made on Paid Survey Authority.
Ridiculous claims about hourly pay:
In the intro video it is also explained that the average pay for a survey that takes 15 minutes is $35, and if you then just work just over an hour a day, you will make $175 per day and a full-time income. That would be amazing, if it was true. But of course you cannot make a full-time income just by working 1 hour a day taking surveys. You can in general not make a full-time income with online surveys. That is not what they are meant for. You can earn some really nice extra cash and at the same time have your opinion heard, but do not fall for these claims that Paid Survey Authority are making.
More warning signs
I have already mentioned a lot of reasons why you should be careful about joining Paid Survey Authority or sites that make similar claims. But there are still more warning sites on the site. So let´s go over a couple more, if you are still considering joining.
Unrealistic joining bonus:
Paid Survey Authority claims that you will get a joining bonus of $50, after you have taken your first survey. This sounds amazing and makes it risk free, as you would then have the membership fee covered after just one survey. But do not expect to get a bonus like this. Survey sites do use joining bonus to give you a good start, but never this high.
An example is that Swagbucks gives $5 joining bonus, but this is in general the highest joining bonus I have seen on legit survey sites. That is also a very good start and nice free money to get. There might be campaigns where surveys sites even at times pay more than a $5 joining bonus, but $50 is not realistic and it is a trick to get you to sign up because you do not think there are any risks.
Fake survey examples:
On Paid Survey Authority there is a list of survey examples. These are completely unrealistic examples. It for example shows that you can take a 6-minute survey for $33. If this was true, paid surveys would be one of the highest paying jobs you could find. They are unfortunately not. As you can see on the screenshot below, it also looks very much like an image that is just made in photoshop to give some convincing examples. There are no proof that they are actual surveys.
Final thoughts – Definitely not worth it!
As you can see, I highly recommend to stay away from Paid Survey Authority. It costs money to join, it uses all kind of tricks and fake examples, the picture of the owner is a stock photo, and it claims you can become rich by just working 1 hour a day.
All these are signs that you should stay away from the site. It will not be worth your time or money. If you want to make money on paid surveys, it is definitely possible, and it is a great way to make some extra cash. But do not expect it to make you the kind of money Paid Survey Authority claims you can.
