Flash Rewards is a website that claims you can earn a £100 Visa gift card if you become a member. It’s an appealing claim, but I have learned over the years not to take what every website claims at face value because most of them don’t deliver on their promise. Based on my experience, only a few websites really live up to their claim.

So, the question now is, is Flash Rewards legit or a scam? In this Flash Rewards review, I will also show you what it offers so you will know exactly what to expect from it.

The earning opportunity – Deals

The only way to earn the reward Flash Rewards promises is to complete deals. These deals will be presented to you after you sign up as a member.

If you are not used to this kind of site, you will find it confusing at first because it is not the usual rewards site where you log in to the dashboard and look for tasks you can complete to earn points or a certain amount. Instead, you’ll be asked to complete a certain number of deals to claim the reward you want.

The deals you have to complete typically involve spending a certain amount (refer to the photo above). Aside from that, these deals sometimes have hidden charges, so you have to be careful which deal you choose.

Some deals will ask you to subscribe to a certain service, and if you forget to cancel them after you claim your reward, you’ll end up losing money instead. So, you must make sure you take note of the deals you complete to avoid this scenario.

Some deals will not involve spending any money, but they are usually quite rare, so you will not likely encounter them a lot. These deals usually ask you to play a certain mobile game and reach milestones to complete them. These take quite a bit of time, so it’s not the quickest way to earn the reward.

Now, what Flash Rewards doesn’t tell you immediately is that for you to earn the reward promised, you must complete the requirements within 20 days of completing the first deal. As I’ve mentioned, it’s a bit complicated, and it doesn’t help that Flash Rewards doesn’t tell you this right away.

I only discovered this fact when I checked its terms and conditions, which is not ideal because, normally, in my experience, good rewards sites and apps are quite transparent with how you can earn rewards. They tell you immediately what you need to do to earn rewards.

So, the usual scenario, if you don’t check its terms and conditions, is that you’ll end up getting disqualified for the reward because it took you more than 20 days to complete the requirements. That’s also a scenario where you lost money since you were not able to earn the reward promised in the end.

As I said, it’s a convoluted way to earn rewards, and there are far simpler options out there, in my opinion.

How do you get paid?

As explained above, you’ll be eligible to claim the reward once you’ve completed all the requirements, which will typically be completing a certain number of deals.

The number of deals you must complete to claim the reward will depend on the country you live in. In the UK, you’ll need to complete 10 deals to claim the £100 Visa gift card.

But in the US, you actually have the option to complete fewer deals to claim a smaller reward (refer to the photo above). You can choose the level of the deal you want to work on. For example, if you want to claim a $5 gift card, you must complete at least two level 1 deals.

But if you want to go for the highest reward, you must complete 25 deals to claim a $1,000 gift card. Again, it’s a bit confusing, but that’s how their system works.

If you manage to complete the requirement, you can claim the reward by presenting a government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license. Flash Rewards needs this to verify your identity, although I’m not sure why because you’ll just be getting gift cards.

It can take up to three days for Flash Rewards to verify your identity, so you must be patient. Once the verification process is complete, the gift card will be sent to you either via email if it is a digital gift card or via postal mail if it’s a physical gift card.

As you can see, claiming your rewards is a bit of a complicated process, in my opinion. If you are looking for sites that use a simpler payout system, I suggest you check out the top sites that pay via PayPal instead.

How much money can you make?

If you live in the UK, the maximum reward you can claim is £100, but if you live in the US, the maximum reward is $1,000. While these may sound like a significant amount, you must factor in the cost to claim these rewards.

As explained earlier, most deals will typically ask you to spend a certain amount (around $5 to $10) depending on the deal. What I observed was that the amount you must spend will usually be proportional to the reward you want to claim.

For example, if you want to go for the $1,000 reward, the deals offered for that reward category will cost around $10 to $50 per deal. So, in the end, you might still not be profiting from it. You’re just basically converting your money into a gift card.

This is why I would say Flash Rewards’ earning potential is quite low. Plus, as mentioned earlier, some deals can cause you to lose money if you don’t cancel them after claiming the reward.

Can you use it on mobile?

If you search Flash Rewards on Google Play, you’ll find one that uses the same name. However, this app is not the same as what we are reviewing because the Flash Rewards site we are reviewing doesn’t have a mobile app.

You can still access the site using your mobile device, though. It is optimized for mobile use, so you can navigate it conveniently using your phone. You won’t encounter any annoying pop-up ads while using it, so the overall user experience it provides is relatively decent.

Who can join Flash Rewards?

Flash Rewards is only available in the UK, US, and Canada. However, they have separate websites for the UK. If you live in the UK, you must go to FalshRewards.uk, and if you live in the US or Canada, you must go to FlashRewards.co.

They are still owned by the same company as evidenced by the same logo. Now, if you live in a different country, you will not be able to access any of the sites, so you will immediately know if it is available in your country.

To sign up, you must first provide your email address. Then, you’ll have to fill out the registration form. Another thing you need to know is that by signing up, you are consenting to Flash Rewards sharing your information with marketing partners, which will, in turn, send you marketing messages via email, SMS, or even via phone calls.

So, don’t be surprised if you suddenly receive promotional emails, texts, or calls from random companies. After you are done with this step, you will now be presented with the deals you can complete.

The registration process is relatively simple, but I don’t like that they share your information with other companies because this can lead to a lot of spam messages.

Can you get support?

But if you can’t find the answers you need, you can click the Member Support link at the bottom of the homepage to get to the page where you can ask for assistance. Overall, I would say it does provide the minimum required support to its members since it offers a way for you to ask for assistance.

Flash Rewards is a site where you can earn gift cards by accepting deals. It doesn’t have a lot of upsides, only certain drawbacks, in my opinion.

To finish this review, I have summarized its pros and cons so you can get a clear overview of what it offers. Then, you can decide if it is truly worth it or not.

In my opinion, Flash Rewards isn’t worth your time. The fact that it is not transparent with the whole process of earning rewards is a big issue for me. There are simply far better ways to earn cash or even gift cards out there.

It also doesn’t help that you might potentially receive a lot of promotional offers if you sign up for it because Flash Rewards will share your information with its marketing partners.
