Giving your opinion and getting paid for it through online surveys can be a great way to make some extra money.

To have success it is, however, important to find the best sites to join, as there are many that are not worth it.

Which sites are the best, depends a lot on the country you live in. So what are the best online surveys for money in Canada?

This is what you can find a list of below.

The list has 40 awesome and legit paid survey sites in Canada in 2020 that are all great sites, they always pay you, and they have many different options.

So by going over the list, you will be able to find the sites that have the opportunities that suit your needs and get started making money on surveys easily and without wasting a lot of time testing sites.

How are the opportunities for paid surveys in Canada?

If you live in Canada and want to make some extra money on surveys, you are lucky.

Canada is a country with very good opportunities, and there are many Canadian paid survey sites.

The sites are not only good for making money on surveys, but many of them also offer additional ways to make money. That is why some of the sites are also called GPT (get-paid-to) sites, as you can get paid for a number of different things on them.

That there are many sites you can join does however not mean that they are all worth joining. There are unfortunately also many sites with poor opportunities, and there are also sites that are outright scams.

Below, is a selected list of the best survey sites in Canada. They are all legit and all free to join and definitely worth joining. Check out the exact opportunities the different sites have below, so you can find the ones that appeal the most to you.

To increase your chances of earning, it is best to join several sites. If you have not done paid surveys before, I suggest you join 5-7 sites for a start – this will give you a good amount of opportunities, but without becoming too overwhelming and confusing to learn to navigate and use the different sites.

How much money can you make on survey and GPT sites?

If you join the best sites and dedicate a bit of time every day, you can make some nice extra cash on survey and GPT sites in Canada.

One thing that is important to know is, however, that it will not make you rich or a full-time income.

So if you are looking for a survey job to replace your full-time job, I am sorry to disappoint you. Survey sites and GPT are not meant for creating a full-time income – any site that claims this is lying and has an ulterior motive.

However, if you go into it with the right expectations, it is an amazing opportunity to earn some really nice extra cash. It is one of the only ways you can start making money online right away and without any risk or investment at all.

40 Top survey sites in Canada

The list below is not a complete list of all available survey and GPT sites. It is instead a list of the top sites that are actually worth joining.

The list will regularly be updated, so make sure to bookmark this page and come back and check for new opportunities regularly.

Short summary:
PaidViewpoint is a survey site that only has real opportunities in a few countries – Canada is one of them.

It is however different from most other sites in several ways. You can take short surveys every day that is called the trait score. This is a way for PaidViewpoint to get to know you and find out how consistent you are in your answers. As you take these, your score will increase, and therefore you will get higher-paying surveys.

A unique feature of PaidViewpoint is that you will never be offered a survey that you do not qualify for. You will however also not have as many surveys as on many other sites. But the ones you are offered, you know you will be able to qualify for and get paid for, and they do not take long to complete. Therefore, it is a great site, but because of the smaller amounts of surveys, you should also join other sites as well and not only rely on PaidViewpoint.

Maru Voice is purely a Canadian survey site and this is the reason it is on this list even though it also has its disadvantages.

The great thing is that it is easy to use and has relevant surveys so it is a great way to have your opinion heard in Canada and earn a bit at the same time.

It, however, has a very high payout threshold of $50 so it takes some patience before you can get your earning. Also, it does not always accept new members so often you might not even be able to join. But if you are able to join, it can be a decent secondary survey site but it should not be one of your main sites.

#38 - PineCone Research Canada:

Payout methods: PayPal, check, gift cards, prepaid VISA, products
Payout threshold: $3
More information: Read full PineCone Research review

Short summary:
PineCone Research is an exclusive survey panel, as you can only get access to it through an invitation. Sometimes you can find such an invitation for Canada through the “join” button below – but they have very limited numbers of invitations so there will not always be any. If you can join, PineCone Research can be a survey panel worth considering but the hassle to find invitations makes it less attractive and that is why it is so low on this list.

You get a minimum of $3 per survey, and the surveys are not long or hard to take. It does not offer as many opportunities as some of the other sites on this list, as you can only earn through surveys, but the surveys you get, pay well for your time. However, if you run into issues, you should not expect much from their support, in my experience which also makes it less appealing to join.

You can get paid as soon as you have made $3 and the payout options are PayPal, check, gift cards, or products.

#39 - Harris Poll Online:

Payout methods: Amazon, gift cards
Payout threshold: Depends on reward
More information: Read full Harris Poll Online review

Short summary:
Harris Poll is one of the big survey panels in Canada, and it gives decent opportunities here. You can only earn by taking surveys, but the platform is easy to use.

It can, however, be a bit more difficult to qualify for surveys than on other sites, so it takes a bit more patience. But with a little bit of extra patience, Harris Poll gives some decent opportunities to earn some extra cash. You should however not solely rely on this platform but should use it in combination with other sites to get enough opportunities.

You can choose between Amazon gift cards and many other gift cards as rewards, but you can at the moment not get paid in cash.

Cinchbucks is a GPT site with quite a lot of different earning opportunities. It can be a little confusing at first, but it does offer decent options for Canada.

The payout threshold is $10 and you can choose to get paid through PayPal, in Bitcoin, or in gift cards.

There you have it – a list of the best survey and GPT sites to join if you live in Canada. This is of course not a complete list of all the sites that are available in Canada, as there are way too many sites to mention them all, and many of them are also not worth it.

As mentioned earlier, this is a selected list of the best sites that are all legit, give good opportunities, and they all actually pay, so they are worth joining.

If you have any questions, comments, or have experiences with any sites you think belong on the list, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.

  1. Hello – thank you for this information and your recommendations. Are these sites and survey participation safe with supplying the personal information they require for demographics? What do you recommend to do to protect against identity theft or personal information being shared or sold?Thank you – Diana

    • It is definitely good to be careful about. But as long as you join the legit and recognized sites, you do not have to worry about this, in my experience. They all have strict standards they need to live up to. So just be critical with the sits you join as there, unfortunately, are survey scam sites out there. But the ones on the list above are all legit and recognized.

  2. ive been using swagbucks for about 5 years and have made about £300. It is much much harder now to make money than it used to be. Also, survey rewards are lower than on any other site. If you are going to use the site, create a fake persona, with a well paid job. otherwise you will spend hours on the site for pennies.

    • Hi Garry,

Thanks for your comment and for sharing your experiences. A shame to hear that it has become more difficult to make money on SwagBucks in Canada. Let’s hope they will improve on that again soon.
What sites have you found to pay the best?

      All the best,
      Mikael

  3. Hi,

I did not know I had many options on online surveys here in Canada. I was using for a while GlobalTestMarket but sometimes is difficult to finish the surveys because they fill fast. Then It is great to know these other choices.
Swagbucks sounds like they have many ways to earn money, so I think I would love to try this survey program.

Do you recommend me any in particular?

    Thanks.

    • Hi Darmendra,

No GlobalTestMarket does not offer that many opportunities – that is why I recommend it as an extra site and not only rely on that. SwagBucks is definitely a good site as it gives so many different ways to earn so that it definitely worth joining – PrizeRebel is also a good site with many different ways to earn. I would also recommend i-Say as it is very easy to use and has some interesting surveys. In general, all the sites on this list are good, so it mostly depends what earning methods you prefer.

      All the best,
      Mikael
