Is ySense Legit or a Scam? (2021 Review + Full Guide)

ySense Rating

ySense is one of my favorite survey sites and you can also earn in other ways. It has a low payout threshold and you can join from most countries and overall it gives very good opportunities.

ySense (previously ClixSense) is one of the big names when it comes to survey sites and Get-Paid-To sites.

But is ySense a scam or is it a legit opportunity to make some extra money online?

I am myself a long-term member of the platform and have tested it thoroughly and I am still using it daily.

So let me just reveal right away that ySense is legit and it does pay you – I have been paid many times myself and will show payment proof later.

However, this does not necessarily mean it will be the right option for you.

This 2021 ySense review will give you all the details you need to know to decide whether it is worth it for you or not.

My review is a bit long as the platform offers many things, and I want to cover as much as possible to give you all the info you need to make a decision about joining or not. But if you are the impatient type, you can just scroll down to the conclusion:-)

What is ySense, and what opportunities does the site offer?

So let’s start with the name – the platform used to be called ClixSense.

ClixSense was started in 2007. Initially, it was started as a PTC site (paid to click) and was mainly been seen as a PTC site for many years. Personally, I was not a big fan of the PTC side of ClixSense, and therefore mainly focused on other opportunities on the site.

In the middle of 2017, ClixSense made some big changes. This included getting rid of the PTC side, as that kind of business has a bad reputation and ClixSense, therefore, decided to move forward without that aspect.

Personally, it is a choice I was very happy about, as it was not a great opportunity anyways, and I think it shows a lot about how serious ClixSense is about developing the platform and keep moving forward.

Then in August 2019, they made some more big changes – they rebranded themselves with a new name and was moved to a new domain ( So the platform is now called ySense.

Most of the options are the same but there has been some great updates and ySense has continually rolled out new improvement since they took the new name.

Let me just reveal right away that ySense is a real way to earn and it is safe – I have been paid by it many times myself (you can see payment proof in the video later in this review).

But that does not mean it is necessarily the right option for you. So let’s look into what the opportunities ySense now offers so you can find out if you should join or not:

Option 1 – ySense surveys:

The best way to earn on ySense is by taking paid surveys.

It usually gives plenty of daily opportunities for doing paid surveys as it has partnered with many different survey providers.

Ysense Survey Examples
ySense surveys is one of the best ways to earn and you have many daily opportunities.

Be aware that you will probably not qualify for all the surveys that are available. I mention this, as I know how frustrating it can be to click on available surveys and then not qualify.

Depending on where you are from, your age, etc. it will be different how many of the surveys you can participate in. This goes for all survey sites, so it is not just on ySense you will not qualify for all surveys.

So if you click surveys, and they are not available just be patient and keep clicking – it takes a short time to check if they are available, and there will in most cases be many available ones, and usually, they are pretty well paid in relation to the time spent compared to other survey sites.

After a while, you will also figure out what kind of surveys you usually qualify for, and then you can just ignore the others not to waste your time – That is what I do.

As you can see in the image above, the rewards you get vary a lot from survey to survey and can also vary from country to country. But overall, the surveys you can find on ySense pays quite well compared to many other survey sites.

Also, be aware that in addition to the surveys you can see, there is also a section right below the surveys where you can see the survey routers ySense has a cooperation with.

This means you can click here and scan for additional available surveys – this can be a great way to find extra opportunities even though it can sometimes take a bit of patience to find the surveys you qualify for in that section.

Option 2 – Paid offers:

ySense has a whole section with paid offers. Through this, you will get access to a big number of different offers offered by ySense’s partners.

Many of the offer walls on ySense are the same as when it was ClixSense but there has also been some removed that were not so good and new ones have been introduced. They also mention on the website that they will continuously introduce new offers.

Offers can, for example, be to try new products or services, download apps, play games, sign up for websites, watch videos, sign up for free contests, and more. Compared to similar sites, ySense gives you access to many offer walls and also access to some of the best offer walls that exist.

ysense offer walls
Some of the ySense offer walls.

Before you take an offer, you can see what the conditions are, and how much the reward will be. Offers can be a great way to boost your earnings. Some of them give small rewards, but there are also some that give really high rewards, so it is worth checking out the different offers regularly.

Just make sure to read all the conditions for the offers you are interested, before taking them, so you know exactly what you have to do to get your reward. Some offers have great conditions and are very easy to take, and others are in my opinion not worth taking. So make sure you know what the conditions are.

Option 3 – Micro online tasks:

On ySense, you used to be able to do small online tasks through what is called Appen Tasks (previously CrowdFlower and Figure Eight).

However, unfortunately, this earning opportunity disappeared at the beginning of 2021.

But I still wanted to mention this option here as many are asking about what happened and if it will come back as an earning opportunity on ySense.

Therefore, I want to make it clear here that the Appen tasks will NOT come back.

In fact, the company behind the Appen tasks has decided they will only be offered through the Appen website itself and therefore they have removed it from all the partner sites that used to have this option (including ySense).

However, ySense is working on introducing new ways to earn and also without the Appen tasks you can find many great ways to earn here.

Option 4 – Invite friends to join:

You can also earn money by inviting other people to ySense.

As a start, ySense will pay you a 20% commission of whatever the people you refer earn. If you have more than 100 referrals that have been active within the last 30 days, you will get 25%, and if you have more than 200, you will get a 30% commission.

The commission will NOT affect what the person you refer earn, as the bonus will be paid by ySense to thank you for inviting somebody else.

Option 5 – ySense Watch (watch videos)

The newest addition to the earning opportunities is ySense Watch. This is a section where you can earn simply by watching videos.

ysense watch examples
You can earn by watching videos.

You just simply choose your preferred video topic/channel and there are are relevant topics almost no matter your preferences.

You will then be taken to content within that category and have to stay and watch a video for a certain amount of time. There will be a timer that tells you when you can move on to the next video.

You have to watch several videos to get your reward and you can all the time follow how many you have left before you will get paid. Usually it will be 7-10 videos.

Usually, this will pay you $0.02-$0.03. So it is not huge earnings but it is still quite good compared to many other sites that offer videos as an earning option. And the good thing about this option is that you can always find a way to earn even though it is not a lot you can earn – but at least it is entertaining at the same time.

Just be aware that currently, this option is only available in the US. ySense is working on making this option available in more countries asap but if you cannot find ySense Watch when you login, it is simply because it is not available in your country yet.

Option 6 – Activity bonus:

ySense offers a great extra earning possibility that puts it apart from many other survey sites.

If you have a certain activity every day, you will get an extra bonus called Daily Checklist Bonus. I will go into the details about this below, as it is a big topic and needs its own section.

It is free to sign up and participate in all the offers ySense has.

Click to Check Out ySense for Yourself

What is the Daily Checklist Bonus?

As mentioned above, ySense has something called a daily checklist bonus that can be a great way to earn some extra money.

When you first join, it might seem a bit confusing, but it is actually pretty simple. But to make it easier for you, and so you will know from the beginning, I will now explain how it works and how much extra it can make you.

In short, it is a bonus where you can make up to 16% of your earnings, and it will be added to your account at the end of each day if you qualify for the bonus that day.

Ysense Daily Checklist Bonus
You can easily see how close you are to getting the daily checklist bonus.

It is not that difficult to qualify. On your personal account page, you can all the time see how close you are to getting the bonus that specific day (see picture above).

To get the bonus you have to either take 2 surveys or 2 offers.

However, ss not everyone has the same opportunities to do surveys or offers, you can combine these to qualify for the checklist bonus.

So you can also qualify for the bonus by taking 1 survey + 1 offer.

If you fulfill one of the options above, you will earn the daily checklist bonus and get 12% into your account at the end of the day.

You further have the chance to add extra to this bonus. You can earn an earn an extra 2% by installing the ySense addon, which is an extension for your browser.

This used to only be available for Chrome when it was ClixSense, but now it is available for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, which is a great expansion, in my opinion.

It is an add-on that will give you notifications when there are new surveys, new tasks, etc. You need to have it actively running for 1 hour on a day where you also qualify for the checklist bonus, and then you will get 2% extra.

The browser extension does not only help you get the bonus. It is also a great way to keep updated about new opportunities posted on ySense without having to log in often.

Finally, you can earn 2% by getting an activity bonus by completing the checklist bonus 3 days in a row. Be aware that if you fail to qualify for the checklist on a day, the activity bonus will be reset (see picture below for an overview).

clixsense activity bonus
Overview of how you qualify for the activity bonus, and when it resets.

So by having a certain activity on ySense, you have the chance to get an extra 16% into your account. On any day where you meet the requirements for the bonus, it will be transferred into your account at the end of the same day.

This is a really nice extra bonus and not something many survey sites offer.

How do you get paid?

Every time you do a survey, take a task, take an offer or anything else on ySense, you will earn dollars.

The payout methods is one of the biggest changes after ySense was rebranded from ClixSense. You used to be able to get your money paid out through Payoneer, Skrill, Dwolla, Tangocard or check.

One of the big changes when it was launched as ySense is that it now introduced payouts via PayPal. This is the preferred payout method for many on survey and Get-Paid-To sites (myself included) so great they have made this possible.

And the payout threshold for PayPal is fairly low as you only need to earn $10 to cashout through PayPal. And it will still take too long to get to this on ySense.

ySense has however also introduced payout methods with a lower threshold than it used to have as ClixSense. You can now get Amazon gift cards already when you have earned $5.

In addition to this, you can also get your earnings out via Payoneer and Skrill which are also both great ways to get your earnings in cash. So there are some really great reward options, in my opinion.

When you have participated in a survey, you will usually be able to see the reward on your ySense account right away. Some surveys (the ones that give an extra high reward), have to be approved before you get the money into your account. These surveys are marked with a little red flag, so they are easy to recognize.

high paying clixsense survey example
The high paying surveys are marked with a red flag.

When you use some of the other opportunities on ySense, like for example getting paid for downloading an app, you earn dollars as well so it will be easy to see exactly what you get for each offer.

When it was called ClixSense you used to earn Clixcents for the offers. So this is another example where ySense is now more user-friendly.

Often it takes 5-15 minutes before you can see these rewards in your account.

Once you have requested a payout from your ySense account, it takes 4-5 days before the money is on your chosen account.

Can you use ySense on mobile?

Yes, you can easily use ySense on your mobile phone or tablet.

In fact, at the time of updating this review, they just recently launched an official ySense app you can download in the App Store or through Google Play.

Ysense App Download Image
You can download the ySense app for both iOS and Android.

This makes it a lot easier to get access to the surveys fast which can be important as some of them fill up quickly.

Overall, it is just super convenient when a survey or Get-Paid-To sites have an app as it is a great way to earn a bit extra when you are on the go. For example when waiting in line, waiting for the bus, sitting on the train, etc.

So great to see ySense spend time developing one that works well and is user-friendly.

In case you do not want to download the app, you can still easily use ySense itself through the browser on your mobile as the website is mobile-friendly.

How much money can you make?

How much time you have to spend to make money and how much you can earn on ySense depends on how many of the opportunities you wish to use, as there are many.

In general, the rewards for surveys are pretty good in relation to the time spent, so they are definitely worth participating in. But there are also a lot of other opportunities.

Some of the offers give really high rewards, and the tasks can also give some nice extra money – especially if you end up being one of the top earners and get a part of the weekly prize money.

By being a bit active, you can also fairly easily qualify for the daily checklist bonus and earn up to 16% extra which is a really great bonus.

So ySense is one of the survey sites that have good earning potential.

As, with all other survey sites, it is however important to remember that it will not make you a full-time income. If you expect this, you will probably be disappointed and not participate actively on ySense, and thereby also not have success with it.

In which countries is ySense available?

One of the great things about ySense is that it is available more or less worldwide as ClixSense also was. The opportunities on ySense will, however, vary depending on the country you live in.

But if you do not have many surveys or offers, you might have great access to tasks, so there are good chances for many countries, and it is one of the survey sites that give fairly good opportunities to the broadest range of countries out all of the sites I have tested.

Be aware that you cannot take surveys from another country than where you signed up, so you cannot use ySense to take surveys while traveling.

You have to be 16 years old to be able to sign up for ySense.

How do you use ySense?

ySense has a lot of possibilities. It is still a site that is fairly easy to navigate on and use but in the beginning, it can be a bit confusing when you first log in.

I have therefore made a short video walkthrough below that will show you how you use ySense and how you make money there, to help you get started easily:

Bonus advise and tips

Above you can see how to use ySense. I just also want to add a few extra tips to help you make the most out of the platform:

Bonus tip 1 – Find surveys even though there are none available:

Even though it might look like there are no available surveys, there might be anyway.

When you click “surveys” there are some boxes/logos you can click on to get access to survey routers. Sometimes this will give you the opportunity to take a survey even though it is not indicated.

survey routers on clixsense
You can find more surveys through the survey routers.

So just click them and check – I have often been able to take a survey like this. Depending on where in the world you are, it varies which boxes will give you an opportunity. Try it out, and after a while, you will know which ones are worth clicking for you.

Also, some of the offer walls have surveys you can take, so make sure to also check them for extra survey opportunities.

Bonus tip 2 – Do not give up, if some of the surveys are not available to you:

Depending on your age, where you live, etc. there will be some surveys that you will not be able to take after you have clicked an available súrvey. This can be frustrating, and sometimes you have to click several surveys before you find one you can participate in.

But there are many available surveys, so do not give up when you run into one (or several) surveys that you cannot participate in. Over time, you will also get to know which kinds of surveys you usually qualify for, and then just click them and ignore the others.

Bonus tip 3 – Visit the site often:

New surveys and tasks will appear and disappear throughout the day, so visit the site several times during the day, if you have the time.

Alternatively, you can install the ySense Addon for your browser. It is a great way to keep updated about new opportunities without having to log in often.

Bonus tip 4 – Less activity on weekends:

Be aware that on weekends there is often less activity on ySense. My experience tells me that there are mostly very few surveys on the weekends, so do not get discouraged if you join in a weekend and do not find many opportunities.

There are opportunities at the weekends but just not as many.

Can you get support?

How good support a site or service offer always says a lot about it.

I have several times been in contact with both ClixSense’s and ySense’s support, and I have always gotten a fairly quick and useful reply.

When you send a message to their support, you will see they say it can take up to 10 business days to get a reply. This is quite slow, but luckily it will likely not always take this long. When I have been in contact with them, I have usually received a reply faster but in some cases, it can take a bit of patience which is something I hope they will also improve as they keep improving the platform.

Also, whenever there are any updates, changes, special offers or anything like that, you will see a message about this when you log in.

ySense also has a forum where you can get answers to a lot of questions from both other members and ySense staff. There are even forums in many different languages, so you can communicate with staff and other members in many other languages than English.

So ySense has good support and is good at keeping members updated, which is something I really appreciate, and some survey sites could definitely learn from this.

Final verdict

I have tested many online paid survey sites and Get-Paid-To sites, and ySense is definitely not a scam or fake – in fact, it gives genuine opportunities to make some extra cash in a legit way.

I know from personal experience that is legit as I have been paid by it many times myself.

But let’s finish this review by summing up the pros and cons, so you can get a better overview before deciding if it is for you:

  • Many daily opportunities
  • Good opportunities in a wide range of countries
  • Nice extra bonus, if you have daily activity
  • User-friendly
  • Good rewards in relation to time spent
  • You get paid in cash
  • Many payout methods to choose from

  • Often you have to click on several surveys to find one you qualify for
  • Not all countries have many opportunities

Overall, ClixSense used to be one of the survey sites I have personally had the most success with. Now after it has been rebranded as ySense, they have made it even more user-friendly and it seems they will keep developing the platform with new opportunities which is great for us as members.

It is definitely a legit site where you can make some extra money, and in my experience definitely worth it and therefore it is also one of my top recommendations.

How do you join ySense?

It is very easy and fast to sign up. Just click the button below. This will take you to the ySense website, where you have to fill out a small registration, and then you can start earning.

The first time you log in, you have to fill out a little info about yourself, which only takes a few minutes. It is, of course, free to join.

If you have any comments, questions, have any experiences with ySense (or ClixSense) yourself, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.

  1. HI

How many offers can we do in ysense at the same time can we be like doing one offer but also take up another offer at the same time and get rewards

  2. I’ve been on this site for a week now, but I haven’t been able to earn even a cent. With every poll I get a message: ”
Upon registration I received a notification: “Sorry, your account could not be created” Probably, Russia will not be accepted “Registration was successful without problems, tasks are also not counted and cannot be completed

    • You have to register with the country you live in – if you register with a different country it is fraud and they will detect it and ban you for life.

Which country do you live in?

    • Thanks for sharing your opinion Dipak. But why do you think it is a scam? The word scam seems to be used very loosely online today as soon as something might not live up to what someone expects. So when calling something a scam it is important to have arguments for it, in my opinion.

Personally, I have been paid by ySense many times and earned quite a bit as you can also see in the video in the review above. And I know many other people that have also been paid by ySense many times.

Like any other GPT site, it does, however, not have equal opportunities for all countries even though it is available worldwide but that does not mean it is a scam. And as you can see, it does actually pay out.

But if you have more information and experiences you would like to share, I would love to hear them.

      • Dear Mam, it is not a scam but ITS been 20 days and the money has not been transferred from PayPal to my bank account. Why this delay? Could you please explain? The bank staff are not replying.

          • Hey Mikael am from Tanzania in Africa may I get a paid survey from $0.5 ……
            Contact me on my email

          • Not sure I understand what you are asking. But it is also possible to take paid surveys from Tanzania. There will be limited available surveys so you need to make sure to also use some of the other earning methods ySense offers.

  3. I am temporarily shifted to UK for 3 months stay and created my ysense account so that to earn some extra bucks in my spare time, However after earning 100 USD from ysense i tried to get my payment through skrill. Ysense is now asking for my UK mobile number for verification whereas i am using my country’s mobile operator on international roaming. what are the other options to try, please.

    • I would suggest you either ask a friend with a UK number to help you out or to get a UK number while you are there.

They have quite strict control as many people try to fake which country they live in to get more surveys and asking to verify it with a phone number is a good way to make sure people actually are in the country they say.

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.

  4. I tried this site for a few months on occasion but had no luck in qualifying for surveys. I probably tried to qualify for around 200 surveys and got my balance to $4.14. Total waste of my time. Maybe it is my demographics that they are not looking for. I am from the USA and am 64 and retired. I don’t have these problems to this extent on other sites I am using. I enjoy reading your reviews but I guess it is a different experience for each user.

    • Thanks for sharing your experience Robert. The demographic profile, age, and country definitely is a big part of how many surveys you will quaily for so it will be different from person to person. And seems ySense was not a good match for you. But glad to hear you have then found other sites that work better for you.

And really glad to hear you in general like my reviews – appreciate the feedback and you taking the time to share your experiences.

  5. Time to update your review, this has turned in to a fraud now, ysense is nothing like clixsense, just completed a survey and didn’t get paid for it, similar thing happened two days ago and I created a ticket in their help center giving them survey no and screenshots but they replied asking for screenshots and survey no again, I did reply then again, but also received same reply asking for SS and survey no again, so basically some bot is replying again and again.

Again apart from opinionworld surveys on ysense no other survey pays, they will make you complete the survey without payment, yes clixsense was great but now after updating to ysense their system has gone fraud, both yoursurveys and toluna will make u compete surveys without payment, soon ysense they will stop paying cashouts.

So better to stay away from this fraud website

    • Sorry to hear that Manish. But thanks for sharing your experience. I have actually been in contact with their support a few times since they changed to ySense and have received personalized answers.

But a shame to hear about your experience. Hope they will improve this soon so everybody gets quick help.

  6. Thanks Mikael, great article, but i do have a question, i do live in spain for about 6 months, and was born in the netherlands, by other sites i do get then most surveys in spanish, i do not speak spanish very well, so i can not make those surveys…Is it by ClixSence also that, i sign up in the country Spain, so i get surveys in spanish?
Are there sites, that have surveys in the Language english only??
Thanks allready, you have some great reviews 😉

    • Hi Andreas,

Glad to hear you like my reviews.

I have actually been in the same situation as I lived in Spain for a while at some point:-) Most sites will, however, detect the country you are in and give you surveys in that language. But there are sites that also give English surveys no matter the country you are from. Most of the sites that do that are in my experience the GPT sites.

Also, on those sites you can find other ways to earn so even if you do not offer surveys in English for you all the time, you can use some of the other earning methods.

      Hope this helps.

  7. Thank you, Mr. Mikael, for the good review on the paid survey works, especially on Clixsense. I am a Ghanaian and desperately looking for some side income. I tried registering on the Clixsense website but was not allowed with the following information “Access to this page has been denied. Access via a Proxy/VPN/VPS is not permitted”. What is, therefore, the reason? Is there any other way of registering for Clixsense? Please let me know.

    • If you are using a proxy on your computer that will give a warning as that can be used to hide your location and they do not allow this. It might be because you have tried to access it from a connection that is using a proxy without you being aware.

I would suggest you to write the ClixSense support and ask them. The support there is usually quite helpful.

Hope this helps and feel free to keep me updated about how it goes.

  8. Hi Mikael,

Got accepted at Clixsense although I logged out as I’m still feeling the way. I seem at a loss with the task. Can I ask you about figure eight? Thanks.

Regarding the payment method. I have only paypal. What is the best payment method out of the options provided my clixsense.

    Appreciate your reply.

    • Hi Mae,

Yes, feel free to ask about the Figure Eight tasks. It is not the earning method I use the most there but I will be happy to answer if I can.

About the payment: which option is the best depends on your personal preferences. I am using Payoneer, and it works great and is as easy as PayPal. I have also once used Skrill, which also works fine. But I just prefer using Payoneer.

Hope this helps and just ask what you wanted to know about Figure Eight and I will do my best to answer.

  9. Well for me this whole Clixsense looks like bullcrap. I registered, I filled my account and I spend one hour answering the same basic questions to see not qualified each time.
Whole hour, no money. I don’t think it’s how it should work.

    • Sorry to hear that Michal. That is definitely not how it should work.

Can I ask which country you live in? Because in some countries it is harder than others to find available surveys.

What I found when I first started using ClixSense was that some of the survey providers I just never qualified for. But others I qualified quite frequently for. So after having tested a while, I figured out which ones were worth using and then only spend my time on the ones I know I have the best chance for.

But your experience definitely sounds frustrating.

      • Thanks for Your answer Mikael.

        I’m (unfortunetly) from Poland.

I started also using Toluna and YourGov and it’s a bit better.

        • Yes, could imagine Poland is not the easiest country to find available surveys. But good you have found that Toluna and YouGov are better.

Also, a site like Surveytime should have for all countries so you can try to check that out. And Mobrog is another survey site that has a specific panel just for Poland.

  10. Hello..
My name is Mag I want to know about clixsense if one can join and if it’s workable in South Africa and can I use other pay methods since well clixsense doesn’t use PayPal.

    • Hi Mag,

ClixSense actually has quite good opportunities in South Africa so definitely one of the sites worth joining if you live there.

Of payout methods you can, for example, use Payoneer or Skrill. Personally, I use Payoneer and it works just as easily as PayPal. Once you get your money into your Payoneer account from ClixSense, you can easily transfer them to your personal bank account.

Let me know if you have other questions.

    • Hi Opiyo,

Yes, you can join ClixSense from anywhere. They offer all kinds of different surveys about products, services, etc. where you can share your opinion on these topics.

Be aware that in Kenya that amount of surveys might be limited and it can take some patience to find the ones you qualify for. So it is a good idea to also check out the other earning options ClixSense has – especially the task through Figure Eight.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have other questions.

  11. Hi, I am new to clixsense & I am from Philippines. I just want to know what kind of mode of payments I need to get paid & how can i get paid?

    Thank you,

    • Hi Rowena,

In the Phlippines you can choose between getting paid through Payoneer, Skrill or Tango Card. You can get a free account on both Payoneer and Skrill – once you transfer your money from ClixSense to one of these accounts, you can then transfer them to your local bank account.

I have written a whole article about ClixSense payout methods, where I explain the different ways to get paid. You can check that out to get more details.

  12. What are the fees for Payoneer to withdraw the funds to the local SGD bank account?
I’ve tried using Skrill, I was charged S$50 bank fee for the withdrawal to my local SGD bank account which almost wiped all my ClixSense earnings.

    • Hi Donny,

That was a very high bank fee. The thing is that it does not necessary have anything to do with Skrill or Payoneer. The fee from their side is not very high. When the fee is as high as you mention, my guess is it is a fee charged by your local bank. I cannot therefore not say what the fee would be for using Payoneer – you need to ask your local bank about it, and ask why they charge such a high fee.

I can however say that I am often getting money from Payoneer transferred to my local bank account (in Europe), and there is no extra fee from the bank. So I think the best for you is to talk to your bank.

      • Mikael, I have been on paid viewpoint for a long time and have run into a problem with not being able to verify my Paypal account. When I click on Verify Paypal, I come to a page that says “We’re sorry but the page you are trying to reach does not exist or is being modified. I wrote a message to their support team and have yet to hear back from them.

        • I have not experienced anything like this myself James. How long ago did you write them?

Because I have always received an answer from their support when I have contacted them but they can be a bit slow and it can take a few days in my experience.

    • Hi Tony,

You get a commission every time your friend earns as long as he/she is a member. The commission is something ClixSense pays and the reward your friend earns will not be affected.

      • Thanks for your response. You stated in the article that they must be active for 30 days for me to earn from them. what is meant by ‘active’?

        • You are welcome Tony.

You will earn from them from day 1. The percentage you will earn however depends how many people you have referred, who have been active within the past 30 days. Active simply means that the person has taken part in a survey, taken an offer, or done a Figure Eight task.

          Hope this answers your question.

          • Hi Mikael. I’ve got another question. You said i earn a commission on what my referrals earn. Is it correct to say that if they also earn a commission on their referrals earnings, i would indirectly be getting a piece of their earnings too?…

          • No, you will not get anything from the earnings your referrals get from their referrals. On ClikSense you only get paid for your level 1 referrals, as it is called.

  13. Hello Mikael,

I live in Singapore. May I know is Clixsense available in Singapore? I only have Paypal. I do not have Payoneer, Skrill, Dwolla and Tangocard. Are there other modes of payment?

    • Hi Magdalene,

Yes ClixSense is available in Singapore, and it gives pretty good opportunities there. If you want a Payoneer or Skrill account, it is free to get, and it is easy to sign up. Dwolla is not a payout option in Singapore for ClixSense, and Tango Card not really a good option in Singapore. But both Payoneer and Skrill are good options.

However, if you only want to join sites that pay out through PayPal, ClixSense is not the right site for you. Then you can instead check out my list of the best survey sites in Singapore, where you can get an overview of which sites offer this payout method.

  14. Thanks for the post.. If I sign up with this ClixSense or other survey sites in general, and I’m about to withdraw my earnings. For instance, lets say I’m using paypal or payoneer as my paymet method, will I be asked to input the email for the account I wish to withdraw to or it’ll be sent to the email account with which I registered?

    • Hi Rasheed,

Usually you will be paid to the email account you signed up with. If you need to have it paid out to another email account, you need to contact the support of the survey site.

      All the best,

      • I explain exactly how ySense works in the article above. So just read that and watch the video and then you will know how to use it. And if you then have more specific questions then just ask.

  15. Very informative, I wasn’t expecting so much content with a lot of validity.
One question, since you listed your top 10 survey Co’s, has there been a change?, in other words, is this list still as current as since you last wrote it?
I know there is always a new company setting up here and there, what I also tend to find is in the UK the rankings seem not to take effect here. The U.S seem to take a lead. I once thought Toluna is UK based. Curious I guess.

    • Hi Vivien,

Yes there are new sites starting up all the time. I keep testing sites, and I adjust the top 10 list all the time, if I find any sites that deserve to be on the list – so yes it is updated.

US is definitely the country that has some of the best opportunities for paid surveys, but luckliy you can also find plenty of good sites in other countries. I have actually also made a list specifically with the best survey sites in the UK. Toluna is available more or less worldwide. And it is big in the UK. I have also made a specific article about Toluna UK, if you want more details about that. But it is relevant for more or less any other country as well.

Let me know of you have further questions.

      All the best,

  16. Hi, Mikael.
I am a former member who used clixsense about 7 or 8 years ago as a way to make a bit of extra money for myself. Finally, I decided that I simply did not like it, viewing it as too time consuming as frankly, I was to eventually look for other ways to earn some income online.

I was quite interested as I began to read your review of clixsense that you stated that this company has recently incorporated major changes in its philosophy about members earning money at the site.

With the continuing growth in usage of Smart Phones, and although clixsense does not have an app of its own, the fact that members can still make money online through using mobile devices is a major positive for this company.

in the past I distinctly remember that clixsense did have a bit of issue in providing survey opportunities for members. Remember this was circa 2010. In fact back then I felt as if clixsense regarding its availability of surveys and being able to qualify for them was among the worse I had experienced with any similar site.

At clixsense, I also hated doing tasks which came with accompanying advertisements that you had to sit through first in order to eventually be rewarded. It was a feeling going through me of my wasting valuable time having to sit through ads that I did not care one iota about. The money earned was not equivalent to time lost as there are only 24 hours/day.

As you did not mention this at all, perhaps clixsense has done away with them. Perhaps not.

This site has improved although in my opinion a somewhat similar site in which multiple opportunities to earn extra income called SwagBucks is still the best site online regarding this type of venture.

    • Thanks for sharing your experiences Jeff.

Great to hear a bit about how ClixSense was in the past and get a sense of how it has developed. I have not tried any tasks where I first had to watch a bunch of ads. There are of course ads at the site but in realtion to what you are telling about, it seems like the site no longer has this, which is great. The ads that are there now are not something that bothers me and they do not disturb the experience.

And you are right that SwagBucks is definitely a very great site, and also one of my top choices. The only disadvantage Swagbucks has is that it is not available for so many countries. So many countries cannot join. ClixSense is available worldwide and also has some great opportunities for many countries that other sites do not have opportunities for, which is great. But both sites are great, and for people that live in a country where you can sign up for both, I definitely would recommend that.

Anyways, thanks again for sharing your experiences.

      All the best,

    • Hello this is cinzia from Italy. I am following your top ten guide but I have some questions: 1)how much do you earn from clixsense?2) I have tried my f.eight task but my result was so there are no job for me, is it possible to retry? Thx

      • Hi Cinzia,

How much you can earn on ClixSense is difficult to say exactly as it depends on your activity and how many surveys and offers you qualify for.

Sometimes there will be no Figure Eight tasks available. Then just try again the next day. It is the same with surveys and offers. New ones are added all the time sp just because there are no options one day does not mean there will not be the next day or later the same day.

  17. Hello Mikael,

I have found your articles interesting and very informative. So I live in Africa, can I participate in these surveys? You said Paypal is nolonger used, which one can work for a person in my location, I am not familiar with the ones you mentioned or never used them.

    • Hi Milar,

Thanks for your feedback. Glad to hear you like my website.

ClixSense is one of the survey sites that allows people from the most different countries to sign up, and it is also open to people from most African countries (except for Niger). Exactly how many surveys and opportunities that will be available once you join is difficult to say as it can vary a lot from country to country. But you should be able to join and try it out for your specific country unless you live in Niger.

About the ClixSense payout methods, I personally prefer Skrill and Payoneer, as they are the cheapest from where I live and are both very reliable services. Skrill is available in Africa, except from in Sudan, South Sudan and Eritrea. Payoneer is available in over 200 countries, so you have to check your specific country on their website. Or let me know the exact country and I will check for you. I have written a whole article just about the ClixSense payout methods that you can check out to get a bit more information about the different options.

Hope this helps, and let me know if you have more questions.

      • Hi Mikael,

I am from Uganda. I registered for payoneer and i got a message that my card is on the way. I wonder how to use it. Btw Niger is different from Nigeria. I think its Nigeria that is not allowed to enter the survey.

        • Hi Milar,

Strange that they wrote they have send you a card just because you signed up. Usually the card is something you have to actively order once you have signed up. You can order the card as one of the ways to withdraw money on your payoneer account. There are some fees associated to using the card so it might not be the right solution for you. In my case, it is for example a better solution to transfer to my bank account, but it depends on the situation and preferences.

But I would suggest you to write Payoneer’s customer service and ask why it says that they have send you a card as you did not actively order it.

  18. I see that you say there are very few surveys during the weekends with Clixsense. This kind of disappointed me because I wanted to make a few bucks with it on the weekends, I am only free then.

Are there any other survey sites that are usually active on the weekends, I think they are the ones that will suit me best.

    Waiting for your response.

    • Hi Dave,

ClixSense does have surveys in the weekends, but not as many opportunities as in weekdays, so I have more written it for people to be aware that they might be offered as many surveys during the weekends. But there are still opportunities there. So you can still join ClixSense and get some good opportunities out of it.

There are in general often less surveys available during the weekends on survey sites. As mentioned that does not mean there will be none, but just a bit less, and I am mentioning this in my review so people are aware of what to expect.

      Hope this helps.

  19. Hi Mikael,
You the real deal.I have been following your website for couple of months and have also reffered a lot of people.
    I had a question.
Lets say you work for 2 hours on this site. What is the minimum amount of money you can earn? Also can you explain a bit more about the payment system brother.

    • Hi Jarred,

Glad to hear you have been following for a while and that you find the information useful. And thanks for telling other people about my site as well – I appreciate that.

About your question: First I want to say that how many opportunities you have on ClixSense depends on where in the world you live. And some times the size of the rewards also depends on that and on what kind of surveys you take. So it is very difficult to give a minumum amount you can make in 2 hours. The surveys have for me been the best way to make money on ClixSense, and then combined with getting the daily checklist bonus. But there are also offers that can give really good rewards in some countries. To click the ads will itself not make you a lot, but as a part of the daily checklist bonus it can still be a good idea to do. So unfortunately I cannot give a more specific answer, as there are too many variables to give a precise answer. But as with all survey sites, you just have to remember that it is not a way to become rich or make a huge hourly salary. But it can be a great way to earn a bit extra.

The payment methods has also taken me some time to get into, after ClixSense changed its methods. But there are several online payments platforms you can receive your money to and then from there get them to your bank account or in some cases get vouchers for them. Also if you live in the US or Canada, you can get paid via check. I have actually just last week written a longer article about all the payout options to give a better overview of them and to make it easier to compare the different ones. You can read it here: ClixSense Payout Methods

Just let me know if you have any more questions.

  20. Thanks for explaining Clixsense. I have a question though. The website superpay me ask you to verify your address and all that stuff before they hand out the payment. Is it the same with Clixsense? Can you please please explain how the money is paid out?

    • Hi Risan,

No at ClixSense you do not have to verify your address. But be aware that if you login from another country than where you register your account, it will raise a red flag. As long as you are in another country, you will not be able to do surveys.

About the payout, ClixSense has several ways. Unfortunately, the site does no longer offer PayPal, but you can get the money through other similar services like Payza, Paytoo, Payoneer, Tango card & Skrill. If you live in the US, you can also get the money through check.
I am actaully rigth now working on an article where I am looking more into the different payout methods offered, to give some more information so it is easier to find a good one for your needs. I am hoping to have this done in a couple of weeks, so you can sign up for my newsletter to know when there are new articles or check back here in a couple of weeks for the newest articles. That should give you some more info about the various ways to get your payout and make it easier to chose one.

  21. Hi Mikael,

I have never heard of clixsense in the UK, the reason I say this, about 12 months ago I made a list of Paid Survey companies and was going to join up on the better ones.
After researching there is a lot of hit and miss to these surveys, and you make penny’s. Your review on Clixsense seems encouraging but as you say it wont make you wealthy.
I found WA, and decided to learn how to build a website, no regrets on not doing any surveys.

    • Hi John,

ClixSense is also available in the UK. It is however often seen as a PTC sites and many people think that it is only for making money by clicking ads. That is hwoever not a very good way to use ClixSense as the site has many more opportunities – among those the surveys. It is the site that I have had most success with, but how good it is can vary depending on the country you live in.

And yes you are very right – there are a lot of hit and miss when joining survey sites, and it takes some patience to find the ones that work the best. That is also why I have made this website to make it a bit easier.

Great to hear that you found Wealthy Affiliate and are happy with it. It is definitely a great place to learn how to build a website and build an online business.

  22. Thanks for providing this review. I’m always hesitant when it comes to paid survey opportunities online. At least I know now that it’s not a scam. Though, it is unfortunate that paypal is no longer an option as a payment method. It wasn’t mentioned so I suppose requesting payment by check isn’t an option either, is that correct?

    • If you find the legit survey sites like for example ClixSense, they are definitely not scams.

Yes it is a shame about PayPal, but luckily there are many other options that are also very good. Actually ClixSense does offer to payout through check, but only if you live in the US or Canada. There is a $1 fee for that, but the first time you get a check there is no fee. So that can definitely be a way to consider as well, if you live in the US or Canada.

  23. Hi Mikael
Thanks for the info on Clixsense. I’ll be sure to give it a try soon (I already bookmarked it lol). One question though, in the example you did, when you say that a $8 payment can be achieved quite quickly, just how quickly can that be (approximately)?

    • Hi Luis,

Glad to hear you found the info useful. Definitely worth giving it a try. How quickly you will be able to get to the $8 so you can get a payout depends a lot on where in the world you live as it differs how many surveys there are depending on the country. It of course also depends on how many you are willing to do. So for some it will be easily done in 1 or 2 days, but if you only want to/can do 1 short survey a day, it might take 1-2 weeks. I also just recently wrote a post about some extra opportunities ClixSense has to get bonusses and make a bit extra. You can check that out if you are interested:

  24. I have given Clixsense ago and have earned some small rewards for my efforts, so it definitely isn’t a scam.

The only thing I will say is that it’s more of a program for people who have time to kill and aren’t that bothered about earning a real income online.

Clixsense sure offers a variety of tasks that you get paid for and it can be addictive. I was spending 2-3 hours per day participating in the activities.

It’s definitely a program worth a go if you want to get rewarded for having fun.

    • Thanks for your comment and sharing your experience Neil.

I agree with you that it is not a way to make a full time income. But can be a nice supplement, and as you say, it can also be nice being rewarded for having fun:-)

        • There are many different surveys and they are all about different topics. You complete them by first signing up and then just choose the survey you want to take. In the review above you can see a video where I give a full guided tour so you can see how it works.

  25. ClickSense sounds like a legitimate way to earn some extra cash.
As you say it won’t generate a full time income but if you want to earn a bit of extra money – Why not.
What age do you have to be before you can start taking surveys?
I think this could make a great opportunity for those coming up to leaving school or at university to generate some extra pocket money.
Thanks for the tip at the end of your post regarding the availability of the higher paying ads and watching the shorter ads before the best ones arrive.
Do you still take surveys on ClickSense? Something I have never tried before.
    Thanks for your informative review,

    • You are welcome Simon. And thanks for your comments. I agree that it can be a great way for people about to leave school, still at school, or anybody that could just use a bit of extra pocket money. Especially because it does not take any investment or training at all.

How old you have to be to participate depends on the site. Many allows you to participate from you are 13 years. At ClixSense you have to be 16 to participate. I will try to include this info in my reviews in the future.

Yes I still take surveys on ClixSense. After testing many sites, I am still taking surveys on the sites that I find to be the best, and ClixSense is one of my favorites.

  26. Thanks for explaining about Clixsense. It doesn’t seem like it would be worth the time unless you’re just looking for a distraction. I think the tediousness of it would drive me nuts, but I am interested in possibly advertising on Clixsense.

What do you know about advertising on Clixsense? Can that be productive? Do you think it would work to promote Wealthy Affiliate with Clixsense ads?

    • Hi Gary,

Thanks for your comment. If you are looking for a way to make a full time income, I agree that it is not the way to go. But think it very well can be worth it if you are just looking to make a bit of extra money. As I see it, the big advantage is that everybody can do it, as it takes no special training or skills, and there is no investment at all, so can definitely be interesting for some – myself included:-)

About ClixSense advertising, I also think it is an interesting opportunity. I most say that I have not looked very much into this yet, but only tried it very limited. My first impression of it is that it can be a very cheap way to get a lot of traffic to a website, but I do doubt the quality of that traffic, as most people only click your ad to get paid. But as I said, I only have very limited experience with it so far, so I might be wrong. I want to look more into this in the future, and will probably also do a post about it once I have more experience and info about it.
