PaidFromSurveys publishes reviews and guides about paid surveys, GPT and rewards platforms, cashback, user testing, product testing, scam prevention, and other ways to earn extra money online. This policy explains who works on the content, which evidence we use, and why a rating or verdict may change.
Who works on our content
PaidFromSurveys is owned and published by Mikael, the founder of the site and creator of the EarnWithMike channel. The website team currently consists of Mikael and one virtual assistant.
For many website articles, the virtual assistant researches the topic, performs the initial test when possible, writes the draft, and sets up the page. Mikael decides which topics to cover, reviews every draft, questions unclear or unsupported claims, gives feedback, checks the finished page, and makes the final publication decision.
Mikael personally performs the tests shown in his EarnWithMike videos. For website articles, either Mikael or the virtual assistant may have done the test. Updated reviews must make that distinction clear. We do not use Mikael’s name as the tester when he did not perform the test described on the page.
Where relevant, a retained review separates the following roles:
- Written by: who wrote the article.
- Tested by: who used the platform and completed the activities in the test summary.
- Fact-checked by: who checked the main claims and sources.
- Edited by: who made the final editorial decision, when this is shown separately.
Testing and evidence
Updated reviews should show a test label and a short evidence summary near the verdict. This summary includes who did the test, when it was done, the country and relevant device, the activities completed, the payout status, any important limitations, and a matching video or other evidence when available.
Our testing and rating methodology defines Personally Tested, Partially Tested, Research Only, Payout Verified, No Longer Available, and Re-tested. These labels describe the evidence behind the review.
A limited account view cannot support broad claims about long-term earnings or reliability. We use Payout Verified when our own tester received a payout, or when other people show clear proof of a payment. The review says whose proof it is. If a claim comes from the provider, another publication, or an audience member, the review should say so.
Sources we use
For claims about our own tests, we use account observations, screenshots, videos, payout or earning records, and relevant correspondence. For company information, we first check current official sources such as the platform website, logged-in account pages, terms, privacy policy, help center, app-store listing, or a response from an identifiable company representative.
Independent reporting and attributable user feedback can add useful context, especially when country or account restrictions prevent a complete test. We do not present one person’s experience as a result everyone should expect. If reliable sources conflict, we explain the disagreement or leave the claim out until we can check it.
Reviews, ratings, and negative findings
The verdict should help the reader decide whether the platform fits their situation. It should explain who may benefit, who may not, the main advantages and drawbacks, which important steps were not completed, and which results can vary by country or profile.
Relevant negative findings stay in the review when PaidFromSurveys has a commercial relationship with the platform. New evidence can lower a rating, change a recommendation, or lead us to stop recommending a former partner. The reasons for a numerical rating should be visible rather than hidden behind one overall score.
Affiliate relationships, sponsorships, and access
Only a small percentage of reviewed platforms have an affiliate relationship with PaidFromSurveys. Affiliate status does not decide whether we recommend a platform or how we rate it. Mikael rejects most promotional approaches and will not recommend a platform solely because it offers payment.
If a provider supplies a test account, early access, payment, or information that affected how a page was produced, we disclose that relationship where readers see the recommendation. Paid placement does not buy a positive verdict or the removal of relevant drawbacks.

AI and automated assistance
Most PaidFromSurveys articles were written without AI. When we use AI or another automated tool to help draft or edit content, a person still checks the facts, sources, test claims, and final wording.
We will disclose material use of automation when a reader would need that information to understand how a page was produced.
Updates and retests
We may update a review when a tester or audience member reports a meaningful change, a provider supplies new information, a platform changes its availability or terms, or the page reaches our update queue. Frequently recommended platforms are checked more often, but no review is assumed to remain accurate forever.
The “last updated” date means that the content was materially checked or changed. The “last tested” or “re-tested” date refers to actual platform use by the tester shown on the page. We do not change dates only to make an old review look fresh.
A rating or verdict can change when new evidence shows that the platform has improved or become worse. When the change is important, the review should explain what changed and why.
Corrections and reader feedback
If you find a factual error, an outdated payout rule, a closed platform, a country restriction, or a recommendation that no longer makes sense, leave a specific comment on the relevant page or follow the instructions on our contact page.
Mikael reviews civil complaints and correction requests. When the evidence shows that PaidFromSurveys was wrong, we update the content. If we disagree, we may explain why. Spam, abuse, and requests to bypass platform rules may be removed or left unanswered.
After the retained reviews have been checked, we will publish a Corrections and Update History for important verified changes. Each entry will identify the affected page, what changed, why it changed, the date, and who checked the correction.
Scope and reader responsibility
PaidFromSurveys focuses on free or low-barrier ways to earn extra money online. These opportunities do not provide guaranteed income and should not be treated as a way to get rich or replace a full-time job. Results depend on country, profile, eligibility, time, platform demand, and later changes to the service.
