Opinion Miles Club is a survey site that promises to reward you for completing their surveys.
It’s a bit different from other survey sites (which I will explain later).
But is Opinion Miles Club legit? Or is it a scam to stay away from?
Let me just give you the answer to that question right away. Yes, Opinion Miles Club is a legit survey site. But that doesn’t mean you should go ahead and register to become a member.
You must first understand what exactly this survey site offers you. This Opinion Miles Club review will tell you everything you need to know about the site so you can decide if it is indeed a good fit for you or not.
So, without further ado, let’s begin.
What is Opinion Miles Club and what does it offer?
As mentioned, OpinionMilesClub.com is a survey site that will reward you for completing the surveys they offer.
And as I’ve said, it is a bit more unique because it caters to a specific market, namely, MileagePlus program members. If you haven’t heard of this program, it is a loyalty program of United Airlines.
There’s a similar survey site like this. It’s called Points For Surveys. They are both similar in structure.
So, if you are not a member of MileagePlus or planning to become one, let me just stop you right here. This site won’t be of worth to you.
But if you are, in order to understand what this survey site is capable of, we need to take a closer look at how you will be able to earn from this site.
The earning opportunity – Paid surveys
Your main source of income (so to speak) from Opinion Miles Club will come from completing paid surveys.
Once you finish your registration, you will be able to log in to their member dashboard. Before you can start taking surveys, you have to complete your profile first.
You need to do this to make sure you get the best chance of receiving survey invites. Opinion Miles Club will need the information you provide to determine which surveys to send your way.
When you complete your profile, you simply have to wait for a survey invite.
Once you get one (which will typically be displayed in the member dashboard, or you will receive an email inviting you to answer a survey), you just need to go through the process.
The process works like this. Before you can complete the survey, you will have to actually answer a few pre-qualifying questions. You might feel that this is part of the survey, but it really isn’t.
They do this to ensure that you are really included in the demographic the survey is targeting. When you qualify, you will then proceed to the actual survey.
If you don’t qualify, however, they will notify you right away so you won’t have to waste your time answering questions you won’t get rewarded with.
Once you complete the survey, you will then receive your reward.
You do have to take note that, most surveys have a specific limit for the number of respondents. So, you need to make sure you complete the survey as soon as possible.

How do you get paid?
Now, let’s talk about the rewards you get. Opinion Miles Club uses award miles as their currency.
When you complete a survey, Opinion Miles Club will reward you with award miles.
This will then be reflected in your MileagePlus account. You can then use the award miles you’ve accumulated to bid on certain packages or upgrade to different services they offer.
The rewards you can redeem using award miles will vary from time to time and will depend on what the MileagePlus program offers.
To make it clear, you have to log in to the MileagePlus site to redeem rewards and not on the Opinion Miles Club site.
So, if you are expecting to earn real money from this survey site, you will be disappointed.
But, you can say that this is almost like real money because you can actually book flights or vacations for free, provided of course, that you have enough award miles.
If you are looking for survey sites that will allow you to earn real money and withdraw it conveniently, I suggest you check out the top survey sites that pay via PayPal instead.
How much money can you make?
As you already know, you won’t be able to earn real money from this survey site. But the rewards you can redeem can be as good as real money too.
Of course, this will depend on how often you receive survey invites, how many surveys you actually complete and how many award miles you get for each survey completed.
There is no guarantee you will receive survey invites on a regular basis. So, really, the earning potential of this site is not that good.
Don’t expect to book flights for free using the award miles you’ve accumulated through completing surveys.
They do have a tier system for their members. As shown in the photo above, you can earn badges for completing surveys.
Over time, when you are able to complete enough surveys, your membership level will be upgraded, which will be represented through badges.
Each badge will have its corresponding benefits. There are five badges in total. So, as time passes and you continually stay active on their site, you will surely be able to earn those badges and enjoy the benefits.
The site works best, in my opinion, as a supplement to the miles you will earn from booking regular flights from United Airlines.
So, in a sense, this survey site isn’t really for everybody. It can only be a good option if you are a member of the MileagePlus program already and are earning miles in a different way as well.
Can you use it on mobile?
There is no mention on their website about an Opinion Miles Club app you can download on your mobile device so you can work on surveys using your mobile device.
However, you will be able to access their website on a mobile device using a mobile web browser. The good thing is, the mobile version of their site is optimized for mobile use.
Their website is designed to work well with any resolution. That means you will be able to view all the content properly whether you are using a tablet or smartphone.
This, at least, allows you to get to the available surveys quite quickly.
This is quite an important factor seeing as completing surveys is essentially a race between members. Remember, each survey has a limit on the number of respondents.
So, if you are able to complete the surveys on a mobile device, this gives you a significant advantage over other members who just do it on a computer.
Who can join Opinion Miles Club?
As you already know, if you are not a member of MileagePlus, you won’t be eligible to become a member of Opinion Miles Club as well.
If you are not a member though, unfortunately, they are not accepting new members as of writing this review (as shown in the photo above).
When they do open their registration, you have to be a resident of Canada, Australia, Brazil, Japan, and China in order to join. There is no mention on their website about an age requirement to become a member.
But, it automatically follows that you have to meet the age requirement of the MileagePlus program before you can join this survey panel.
Can you get support?
Their site has a pretty decent FAQ section which covers most of the relevant information you will need.
If you have any questions their support page can’t answer, you can send your questions using the contact form they provide on the same page.
The only problem is, whenever you click on the Contact link in their support page, it doesn’t seem to redirect you to the contact form. It’s either the link is broken or their contact form page doesn’t exist anymore.
Either way, you are stuck without a way to contact their support team, which, in my opinion, really isn’t a good sign.
They also don’t have any social media pages you can visit and message.
Overall, even though they do have a decent FAQ section, the inability to send in your question to their support team just poses a huge problem, in my opinion.
Opinion Miles Club is a legit survey site that does reward you for completing their surveys. But, it presents more trouble than it is worth, in my opinion.
But let’s finish this review with a summary of its pros and cons to help you decide for yourself if it is indeed a good fit for you or not.
- Membership tier system allows you to earn more rewards over time
- Exclusive to members of MileagePlus
- Won’t reward you with real money
- Support is not great because you can’t contact their support team
As you can see, there are more cons than there are pros. But what really turned me off from this survey site is not the fact that it is an exclusive survey panel for MileagePlus members.
It’s the fact that they did not fix their contact form. I always give high regard to sites that make sure their members will be able to contact them rather easily if they encounter any issues or have any questions.
This shows they do not hold a lot of value to the end-user experience, in my opinion.
But if you are already a MileagePlus member, it might still be worth joining Opinion Miles as a way to earn extra miles.
If you instead, are interested in survey sites that will allow you to earn real money and be able to contact their support team quite conveniently, I suggest you check out the top survey sites in your country.
The survey sites on this list are all known to provide decent earning potential. Plus, you will be able to find survey sites that won’t require you to be a member of a specific program in order to join their panel.
