PicMix App Review: Worth Joining? (An In-Depth Look)

PicMix Rating

I recommend you don’t waste your time on PicMix. You’ll never get the rewards you’ve supposedly earned. Instead, I suggest you invest your time on apps or sites that will really pay you.

PicMix is an app that claims you can earn simply by uploading photos. So if you love taking photos, you’re probably interested in joining to earn extra cash.

However, I strongly recommend you read this PicMix app review first so you will know if it is worth joining or not.

I have tested the app extensively to see how it works and let me just reveal right away that there are some very important details you need to know.

In this review, I will give you an in-depth inside look, so know exactly what to expect and can determine if you should use it to earn extra cash or not.

So, let’s go ahead and take a closer look at PicMix, shall we?

What is PicMix, and what does it offer?

PicMix is a photo collage-maker app that claims you can earn rewards by uploading photos.

Just to be clear, there’s another app named PicMix and that version is available for Android and iOS devices. That’s not what we will be reviewing.

The app tested has “Photo Collage Maker” attached to the app name. That’s how you can identify it. As for whether it is legit or not, it still remains to be seen. The best way to find out how good the app is is to examine the earning opportunity it offers.

And let me tell you right now that there are some things you need to know about how to supposedly earn from it. The video below explains exactly how the app works. You can also read the details after the video.

The earning opportunity – Using the app

The app says that for you to earn, you have to upload photos. However, that’s not exactly true.

As explained in the video, you will not be paid to upload photos. Instead, what will really happen is that you will supposedly earn rewards by watching video ads.

how to earn from picmix
You can supposedly earn just by using the app and claiming coins.

When you log in to the app, you will see a bar at the top that will keep loading as long as you do something inside the app. As mentioned, you don’t even have to upload a photo for the bar to load. You can just explore the app or play the games it features.

Once the bar is full, you’ll just have to press the chest icon (refer to the photo above) to claim your reward. This is where you will be able to supposedly earn rewards.

Once you click the chest, your reward will be revealed. You can claim the coins or double them, but no matter which option you choose, you’ll still have to watch a video ad.

And let me tell you right now that the ads you have to watch are very spammy. All the apps that will be shown in the ads involve some kind of get-rich-quick scheme, so I highly recommend you ignore those apps. Nothing good will come out of installing the apps shown in the ads.

After the video ad has finished playing, you can close it, and the coins will be credited to your account balance. That’s it. That’s all you need to do to supposedly earn rewards. From time to time, an icon will float, and if you press it, you can claim more coins.

You’ll have to go through the same process. You can claim the reward immediately or double it, but you’d still have to watch video ads.

Now, the surprising thing about PicMix is that it’s very generous with the rewards it gives you in the beginning. When I was testing the app, I was able to earn enough coins to redeem rewards in half an hour. This fact made me suspicious about the app, and I will explain why later.

However, the longer you keep claiming coins by watching video ads, the fewer coins you will get.

How do you get paid?

As explained above, you’ll earn coins every time you claim a treasure chest. Once you’ve earned enough coins, you can supposedly redeem various rewards like PayPal withdrawals, Amazon gift cards, and more.

cashout options of picmix
You can supposedly withdraw your earnings via PayPal or convert them to gift cards.

If you’ve noticed, I keep saying “supposedly” because what will happen is that you will not really be able to redeem any rewards from this app.

Let me explain what happens when you try to redeem a reward. For your reference, I chose the PayPal option when I tried redeeming a reward.

Once you’ve earned 5,000 coins, you can withdraw your earnings to your PayPal account. What’s surprising is that 5,000 coins are worth around $500, which is unrealistically high.

So when you withdraw your $500, what will happen is that you will be asked to wait three days before the order will be processed. Then, when you go back to the cashout section, you will see that PicMix will ask you to watch 30 videos before the order is processed, and you have to watch it within three days.

PicMix will also offer to waive that requirement if you pay $1. However, I strongly advise you not to do this because you will just be wasting your money. You will still not receive your earnings. They’ll just add another ridiculous requirement you need to meet.

This is not surprising because a lot of apps and sites that I’ve tested in the past do the same thing. You see, if an app or site adds a hidden requirement to withdraw your earnings, based on my experience, they really don’t intend to pay you.

It’s just their way of discouraging you from withdrawing your earnings, all the while, they’ve already earned money from you since you’ve been watching video ads. You see, that’s how these apps and sites earn. They get paid to get people to watch video ads, and they do it by offering unrealistic rewards.

So the bottom line is that you will never receive your earnings from PicMix. The app will just give you the illusion that you are earning a lot of rewards, but in the end, the rewards you’ve earned will be useless since you won’t be able to withdraw them.

That’s why I suggest you check out the top sites that pay via PayPal instead if you are looking for apps or sites that will pay you.

Red flags you need to be aware of

While I was testing the app, I encountered a few red flags that made me suspicious about whether it pays or not.

I will share these red flags with you so that you will be familiar with them and you can identify them in future apps or sites you will be interested in.

Red flag #1 – Very generous rewards

One huge red flag you need to look out for is when an app or site is very generous with the rewards they give you.

While this may sound like a good thing, it’s a very smart strategy. You see, this is how apps and sites hook you in.

If you feel like you are receiving a lot for doing little things, then you’ll automatically think that the app is worth it. So you will keep investing time to earn more. That’s just natural. However, as explained earlier, the result will be a disappointment because you will not receive the rewards you’ve supposedly earned.

It took a lot of years and experience encountering the same thing from other apps and sites before I was able to immediately spot this kind of red flag. You see, the general rule with online rewards sites and apps is that the reward will always match the amount of time and effort required to earn.

If an app or site will pay you a lot with little or no effort required, the first thing that should run through your mind is that there’s something fishy happening. After all, if something is too good to be true, it probably is, right?

Red flag #2 – Spammy ads

Over the years, the apps and sites that use the same system always end up promoting spammy ads. It’s probably because the developers of the apps promoted by the ads are also the only ones willing to pay. In other words, birds of the same feather flock together.

So, when you encounter a site or an app that keeps promoting suspicious offers, then it’s probably a good idea to stay away from these apps or sites.

Red flag #3 – Hidden requirements for cashout

Lastly, whenever an app or a site imposes an additional requirement when you cash out, the end result will always be bad. Based on my experience, apps, and sites that really pay you are always very transparent with how you can receive your earnings.

PicMix will impose additional requirements when you try to withdraw your earnings.

That’s the ethical way of doing business, in my opinion. You always let everyone know how you will get paid. If a site or an app adds a hidden requirement during cash out, the only reason they do that is to prevent you from withdrawing your supposed “earnings”.

You’ll just give up on trying to withdraw your earnings, or worse, you’ll lose money trying to withdraw them.

Final Verdict

PicMix is a photo collage-maker app that will supposedly reward you for uploading photos. It has a lot of red flags you need to be aware of.
