It is to be expected because online tutoring websites usually require you to use a computer, a webcam, and a headset to conduct tutoring sessions. Aside from that, as mentioned earlier, you’ll need a quiet room to work on.

Who can join PrepNow?

Now, here’s the important part you need to know about PrepNow. As mentioned earlier, it is very strict with who it accepts as a tutor.

As shown in the photo above, you must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university. You also have to have at least two years’ experience working as a tutor. Plus, you must also need either a composite 28 on the ACT or a 650 on the SAT Math and SAT Verbal/CR.

Those are very specific requirements, which means not everyone will be able to qualify as a PrepNow tutor. If you are eligible to join, you must go through the application process.

If the site deems you eligible to become one of its tutors, they will get in touch with you within 1 to 2 business days for the next step, which will be an online interview.
