PrizeGrab Review: Legit or a Scam? (An Inside Look)

PrizeGrab Rating

PrizeGrab can be a way to win big prizes IF you are very lucky. But you are not guaranteed to ever win anything, and if you are looking for a way to earn extra cash online, your time will be better spent on sites that offer guaranteed ways to earn, in my opinion.

PrizeGrab is a site that claims you can win cool prizes and even cash just by joining.

I know it sounds tempting, but the question is, is it legit or a scam?

It’s a valid concern especially since I would consider this a “too good to be true” claim.

In this PrizeGrab review, I will also address that concern and a few other things. You will get an inside look and learn all about what PrizeGrab has to offer, so you will know exactly what to expect before you even hit the sign-up button.

And let me just tell you right now that there are definitely a few things you need to know before you sign up for this site. So let’s go ahead and take a closer look at PrizeGrab, shall we?

What is PrizeGrab, and what does it offer?

PrizeGrab is a sweepstakes site that will allow you to win cash and other prizes. I would categorize it as a legit site since you can really win a prize from it. However, this doesn’t mean that you should hit the sign-up button immediately.

To figure out if it is worth it, you must first understand how PrizeGrab works. And the best way to do that is to examine the opportunity it offers so you will have a clear idea of what you need to do to potentially win prizes.

I have therefore made a video that gives you an inside look and shows exactly how you can earn from PrizeGrab. You can also read all the details below the video.

So here’s how the site works.

The earning opportunity – Sweepstakes

Let me just make it clear that there’s no guarantee you will win if you join PrizeGrab. It will still all boil down to luck if you get chosen as a winner of any of their sweepstakes draws.

how to join prizegrab
To join the sweepstakes, you can use your Facebook account or email address.

To join, all you have to do is click the “Enter” button, and you will see something similar to the photo above. You will be given the option to join the sweepstakes draw using your Facebook account or your email address.

After you choose the method to join, you’ll be asked to verify your registration. Just check the spam folder of your email inbox because that’s usually where the email from PrizeGrab goes to, in my experience. When you see the email, just click the button to complete your registration.

Once you’ve done this, you’ll be taken to the page where you can complete your profile. During this step, you will have to answer a set of surveys that are actually designed to promote various offers. While answering the questions, you will be given opportunities to join other prize draws.

These prize draws offer smaller prizes, so it’s up to you if you want to join. This is quite a lengthy process and during this step, you will be bombarded with a lot of prize draw offers, so I suggest you be careful when choosing which prize draws to join.

You have to keep in mind that if you decide to join a prize draw, you will essentially be giving your email address to the site or company hosting the prize draw. This means they have your email address, and they can send all the offers they want to you.

prizegrab opportunity
You can join other sweepstakes that offer smaller rewards.

When you finally finish this step, you’ll be presented with other PrizeGrab sweepstakes that are currently running (refer to the photo above). Usually, these sweepstakes offer smaller prizes, and you do have to go through the same procedure again, which can be quite annoying, in my opinion.

This is basically what happens every time you decide to join a sweepstakes draw from PrizeGrab. Sometime during this step, you’ll be asked to provide your shipping address.

how to get paid by prizegrab
You have to provide your address so PrizeGrab can ship your prize if you win a prize draw.

You need to provide your real address during this step because in case you win a prize, this is the address that PrizeGrab will use to ship your prize. If you get chosen as the winner of the prize draw, you’ll receive an email from PrizeGrab that contains the instructions to claim your prize.

That’s all there is to it. It’s a very simple process, but it’s actually quite annoying to deal with, in my opinion, because, as mentioned earlier, you will be bombarded with other offers. Plus, a lot of users also reported that they always get emails about various offers, which can be annoying to deal with, as well.

The prizes you can win will usually be cash ranging from $100 to even $30,000, which is actually quite a significant amount. Some prize draws will also have a limit to how many entries you can get. You see, for some prize draws, you will be able to gain additional entries by performing some tasks like answering a survey.

You also have to remember that the odds of winning can fluctuate based on the prize value and duration of the prize draw, so it’s quite hard to expect to win even one prize draw from this site, in my opinion. Therein lies the problem. This is really not an opportunity that offers a guarantee that you can win anything.

If you prefer to earn something for the time you spend answering surveys or filling out forms, you are better off joining a survey site, in my opinion.

Plus, a thing to note with some of the offers of PrizeGrab, they can be misleading. They might sound like you’ll be able to earn cash right away, but all they ever do is allow you to join a prize draw, so make sure to keep an eye out for those things if you decide to join this site.

How do you get paid?

As explained above, PrizeGrab doesn’t offer any guaranteed ways for you to earn money. But if you get chosen as a winner, you will receive instructions on how to claim your prize through the email the site will send to you.

I personally can’t attest to how you can claim your prize since I never won from this site while I was testing it. The one thing I can guarantee, though, is that you don’t have to pay any fee for PrizeGrab to send your prize. It will all be free of charge, which is the one good thing I found out about this site, in my opinion.

If you prefer something that offers a guaranteed way for you to earn, I recommend you check out the top sites that pay via PayPal instead.

How much money can you win?

As mentioned earlier, you can potentially win up to $30,000 from the sweepstakes draws that PrizeGrab offers. But whether you can actually win or not will really depend on luck, in my opinion.

I personally don’t like a site like this because it doesn’t offer any guarantee you will get something for the time you spend on it. As I’ve explained earlier, it sounds so easy to join a prize draw, but it will actually take up a few minutes of your time because you’ll have to answer surveys or view offers that are really not worth it, in my opinion.

You are better off spending that time on a site that offers a guaranteed way for you to earn. But that’s just my personal opinion. If you don’t mind spending a few minutes every day to fill out forms or answer surveys to have a chance at potentially winning money, then that’s your preference.

Can you use it on mobile?

PrizeGrab doesn’t have a mobile app you can download, but you can access the website from a mobile device using a mobile web browser. The site is optimized for mobile use, so you will be able to join sweepstakes draws conveniently using your mobile device.

Although I do have to warn you that the site does have a lot of pop-up ads. While I was testing the site using my computer, my browser kept on notifying me that it had blocked a pop-up ad, so you might have to deal with several pop-up ads while browsing the site using a mobile device.

Who can join PrizeGrab?

PrizeGrab is only available in the US, Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and other U.S. territories. You also have to be at least 18 years of age to join any prize draw.

To join, as explained earlier, you can use your Facebook account or email address. After you’ve selected the sign-up mode, the site will send you a confirmation email. Just check your spam folder since PrizeGrab’s email will most likely be marked as spam.

Click the confirm button in the email to confirm your registration. After you’ve done this, you will have to complete your profile and answer several survey questions which are also just offers for other prize draws/sweepstakes.

Can you get support?

PrizeGrab has a FAQ section that you can check out if you have any questions about the site. It discusses most of the basic topics you need to know about PrizeGrab.

If you can’t find the answers you are looking for, you can get in touch with its support department instead. You can do so by clicking on the Contact link found at the bottom of the homepage. Simply fill out all the necessary fields and hit submit.

Overall, I would say PrizeGrab does provide the minimum required support to its members since it offers an easy way for you to communicate with its support department.

Final Verdict

PrizeGrab is a sweepstakes site that will allow you to potentially win a decent amount of cash and other prizes. There are a lot of things you need to be aware of with this site.

Let me conclude this review by summarizing its pros and cons so you can get a clear overview of what it has to offer. Then you can decide if it is truly worth it or not.

pros

Pros:

  • You can potentially win big prizes
cons

Cons:

  • Doesn’t offer a guaranteed way to earn
  • Some offers are a bit misleading
  • Very slim chance of winning a prize

In my opinion, PrizeGrab is not worth your time. If you are looking for a way to earn extra cash online, your time will be better spent on sites that offer guaranteed ways to earn. Although it won’t cost you anything to join any prize draw from this site, all you’ll ever get from PrizeGrab is a chance to win a prize, which rarely ever happens, in my opinion.

That’s why it would be much better to invest your time in something that will allow you to earn money for sure. For a list of great sites to join, I recommend you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead.

The sites on this list all offer good earning potential, and they all offer guaranteed ways to earn. Plus, you will definitely find a site you can join regardless of where you live.

  1. PrizeGrab is extremely annoying! Several days ago I filled out five surveys that asked the same questions. I answered “no” to most of the questions, and still received sales emails, texts and calls. I found out immediately that what I did was a big mistake. I spent all day today unsubscribing to all of the emails. Now, I am getting constant pop-ups on my computer from prizegrab.com asking if I want samples, gift cards or to win prizes, etc.

    • I have the software Malwarebytes that “blocks” a lot of pop-ups & ads, you try it. Its expensive though. But no more than Norton Premium 360. I paid around $100 for mine! My bank site offered it, too me!

      • Just be aware that if you use ad blockers on survey sites or GPT sites they can, in most cases, not track the surveys and offers you complete and then you will not get paid for them. Just something to consider before installing something like that or at least be aware when you need to turn it of.

  2. At, first I thought Prize Grab was a scam. But since I’ve re-joined with this email address I’ve “won” two different prizes so far. One was the $12 daily check and the other was the $250 Darden Restaurant Gift Card but later offered to exchange the gift card for an $250 check because out of the 6 restaurants that should take this gift card were not in my zip code. But I had joined before with Prize Grab had over 330,880 points but when my other email account got “hacked” I lost my points & creditabilty I had to forfiet my account status. But “how” use Prize Grab now is I generally submit my entries to several different prizes ranging from 8 weeks to 8 months. If I don’t “win” on my choices I quit entering to them altogether! I feel I’ll try & try but let’s face it if I can’t even win the FL lottery I have a chance at winning something from Prize Grab.
