ShrtFly is a link-shortener website that claims you can earn money just by shortening links.

I’ve encountered a lot of websites that make the same claim over the years, and most of them don’t really pan out.

So the question is, is ShrtFly legit or just a scam? And if it is legit, is it really worth it?

I have tested the site to see how it works and to see if it does offer a good way to earn extra cash.

In this ShrtFly review, I will show you the real truth of what the site has to offer so you will know exactly what to expect before you even sign up. Then, you can decide for yourself if it is worth using or not.

What is ShrtFly, and what does it offer?

As mentioned above, ShrtFly is a link-shortener website that will pay you when the shortened links are viewed by visitors.

It can potentially be a way to earn. However, this does not necessarily mean it is worth your time.

To find out if you should use it, you must first understand how the site works. And the best way to do that is to examine the earning opportunities it offers. That way, you’ll have a clear idea of how much time and effort is required to earn.

Plus, you’ll also have an idea of the overall experience of the person who will click your link, which is also important to understand to get an idea of the long-term earning potential.

The earning opportunity – Shortening Links

To earn from ShrtFly, you’ll have to shorten links. It can be any link you want, but ideally, the link must be from your website, blog, or something you want to promote.

That way, you will not only earn from ShrtFly but also benefit from the traffic you can potentially drive to the link.

However, you won’t really get paid to shorten your links. Instead, you will get paid every time a person clicks your link and visits the page you linked to. So it’s not enough to just shorten your links. You also have to promote the shortened link to get traffic.

The way ShrtFly works is when you manage to get at least 1,000 views to the page you shortened, you’ll receive a certain amount depending on the country the views came from. While this may sound easy, it’s actually more complicated than it sounds.

You see, getting traffic will require a lot of effort on your end. You’ll have to share your links on websites and platforms to get views. But sharing these links on platforms and websites also presents its own problem, and later on, I will explain what this problem is.

As for what the user sees when they click the link you shortened, that’s a different story. You might think that when a person clicks your link, they will be immediately taken to the page you shortened. However, that’s not really the case.

Instead, what will happen is that they’ll be taken to a confirmation page that also contains a few ads. This page will ask them to verify if they are human by clicking a button. But when they click the button, nothing will really happen. They’ll just be sent back to the same page.

They’ll have to click the button several times before they can proceed to the next step. And while they are clicking this button, spammy pop-up ads will appear. If they manage to get past this step, they’ll be taken to another page that will ask them to wait for the progress bar to finish. When it finishes, they’ll have to click another button to get to the destination link.

But again, they’ll have to click the button several times before they can actually get to the destination link. And again, when clicking this button, pop-up ads will appear. So the overall experience of trying to get to the destination link is actually very frustrating. It will certainly test the patience of the person who clicked the link.

I won’t be surprised if the person just closes the page after a few clicks. This is one of the main problems of this earning opportunity. It doesn’t really provide a good experience.

Most of the time, people will just give up on trying to view the destination page. And when that happens, you will not earn anything since the person was never taken to the destination page.

That’s why I would say it’s really quite hard to earn from this earning opportunity, in my opinion.

How do you get paid?

Now, as mentioned above, you’ll only get paid once you get 1,000 views for the link you shortened. And as explained earlier, the amount you will receive will depend on the country/source of the traffic.

As shown in the photo above, the highest-paying countries are Greenland, Brunei, and the US. But, in my opinion, the amount they pay, which is $8 (for the countries mentioned above), is actually quite a low rate for 1,000 views. You’ll potentially earn more if this is the amount of traffic you will get for your website.

Once you’ve earned from your shortened links, you’ll be able to withdraw your earnings in various ways. This, in my opinion, is the one good thing about the site.

As you can see in the photo above, you will be able to withdraw your earnings via PayPal if you’ve earned at least $5. You can also withdraw your earnings via Paytm, UPI, and Payeer if you’ve earned the same amount.

For the other payment methods like Payoneer and wire transfer, the threshold will be very high ($500), so your best option is to get paid via PayPal, in my opinion. Overall, I would say the payment system of ShrtFly is relatively straightforward.

Things you need to consider about ShrtFly

Now that you know how the site works and you will get paid let’s discuss what you need to consider about this site before deciding if you should use it or not.

And let me tell you right now that there are a couple of things that you really need to think about.

#1 – User Experience

As explained earlier, ShrtFly doesn’t give the best experience for the people who will click your link. You, on the other hand, will find it very easy. After all, all you have to do is press the button to shorten your link and then share it to other platforms.

But for people who will click your link, they’ll have to go through a lot of annoying things like spammy ads and repetitive actions before they can actually view the destination link. This will cause people to distrust the links you share, which will eventually lead to you not being able to earn from ShrtFly.

You might be able to get a few views in the beginning, but in the long run, people will avoid clicking your links because they know that all they will see are spammy ads and annoying pages. That’s why I would say it is not a viable long-term way to earn extra cash.

#2 – Platforms to Share Links

The other problem that will arise from using ShrtFly is that you’ll find it hard to find platforms where you can share your shortened links. If you share it on social media platforms, you’ll just end up getting banned because people will report you for sharing spammy sites. This is true even if you just comment on the shortened link instead of sharing it on your profile.

You see, social media platforms don’t allow sharing this kind of link. This is cause for immediate banning, and believe me, these platforms will be able to detect your links. Plus, people will also report you for sharing spammy links.

You might find forums that will allow you to share your shortened link in the beginning, but later on, the moderators will be able to see that the links you share contain spam. So they will ban your account again.

The list of sites you will be able to share your shortened links will grow shorter and shorter in the long run. Thus, the end result will be that you’ll spend more time looking for websites or platforms you can share your shortened links which will not be a good use of your time.

ShrtFly is a link-shortening website that will allow you to earn by sharing your shortened links and getting traffic. It doesn’t offer a lot of decent features, and it has several drawbacks you need to keep in mind.

Let me finish this review by summarizing its pros and cons so you can see a clear overview of what the site has to offer. Then, you can decide if you should go for it or not.

In my opinion, ShrtFly is not a site worth joining. It doesn’t pay well, and it doesn’t offer a sustainable way to earn extra money, in my opinion.

You’ll find it hard to find sites and platforms to share your shortened links in the long run because if you share these shortened links, there’s a high chance your account will get banned.
