Super Charge is an app that claims you can earn money simply by charging your mobile phone.
I know that this offers sounds very tempting, but I urge you to pause for a bit and read this Super Charge review first.
I have tested the app to see how it works and also because I was curious to see if it really does what it claims to do.
In this review, I will reveal the full truth of what this app has to offer, so you will know if it is worth your time or not.
And let me tell you right now that there are a few things you really need to know before downloading this app.
So, let’s take a closer look at Super Charge, shall we?
Important update: Super Charge app has shut down!
Super Charge app has shut down. As you can see in my original review below, it is not a big loss, as it was a waste of time.

What is Super Charge, and what does it offer?
Super Charge is a mobile app that will supposedly allow you to earn by charging your mobile phone and participating in the other earning opportunities it offers. While earning might sound easy, there are a few things you need to know about this app.
And the first thing we need to discuss is how you are supposedly able to earn rewards from it so you can see how much time and effort is required to earn from it. So, here are the earning opportunities Super Charge offers.
Option 1 – Daily Tasks
When you log in to the app, you will immediately see all the available tasks you can do to supposedly earn rewards.

Most tasks involve charging your mobile phone or doing optimization tasks that you can supposedly do with the app.
As you can see in the photo above, you can collect rewards when you charge your phone. If you’ve done the task, all you have to do is press it on the daily task section to claim the reward.
When you do that, a video ad will pop up, and you have to finish watching it to claim the reward. Once the video is done playing, you can close it to collect the reward. When you click the claim button, another video ad will pop up, and most likely, it will be the same video ad that you saw earlier (at least, that’s what happened when I was testing the app).
Again, you have to finish watching the ad to complete the claim. Now, as for the optimization tasks, I’m actually not sure if the app truly does optimize your device so that your battery will last longer because I don’t trust 3rd party apps that offer that kind of thing, so I can’t really comment on that aspect of the app.
The one thing I noticed when I was testing the app was that the rewards you will receive are actually quite significant (I received $120 for watching just one video ad).
In fact, I was able to hit the payout threshold by just watching a few videos, and it only took me around 10 minutes to do it. I found this quite odd and worrisome. Later, I will explain the implication of this.
Option 2 – Daily Check In
Another way you can earn rewards is by checking in daily. When you log in to the app for the first time each day, you will see something similar to the photo shown below.

To claim the reward, just press the claim button (refer to the photo above). Again, another video ad will appear when you press the button. In fact, you will always encounter video ads when you press something inside the app, which is one of the major drawbacks of the app.
You can only claim the daily check-in reward once, but you have the option to increase the reward by watching another video ad.

How do you get paid?
You will earn a certain amount from the earning opportunities of Super Charge, and it will be credited to your account.
Once you’ve reached the threshold of $500, which is ridiculously high, I might add, you can withdraw your earnings to your PayPal or Cash App account.

However, what the app doesn’t tell you is that as soon as you cash out, there will be an additional requirement you need to meet to withdraw your earnings. In Super Charge’s case, you will need to complete missions for the transaction to be completed.
However, when I went back to the main page of the app, I never saw any missions to work on. This is a huge red flag for me, and I will explain why later. This is also not surprising because I have encountered this kind of thing before from a lot of apps and sites.
So I was not surprised when I saw the additional requirement when I tried to cash out because the apps and sites I’ve encountered that do the same thing all have one thing in common.
They will never allow you to withdraw your earnings. Even if you manage to clear the additional requirement, the app will just add another hurdle you need to clear to receive your earnings.
Super Charge, in my opinion, is no different from all those apps and sites. That is why you shouldn’t expect to receive your earnings from this app. You should, instead, check out the best sites that pay via PayPal if you are looking for apps and sites that will really pay you.
Red flags you need to be aware of
In all honesty, I encountered quite a few red flags when I was testing Super Charge. I will elaborate on each red flag I encountered, so you will understand why it is a red flag, and you will be able to spot these red flags from apps and sites you will encounter in the future.
Red flag #1 – Spammy ads
As mentioned earlier, every time you press something inside the app, a video ad will appear. While video ads aren’t unusual in apps like this, the fact that you will often be taken in a loop of watching the same video ad several times in succession is what truly bothers me.
This is what happened when I was testing Super Charge. I consider this quite an unethical move from the app developers because, as you can probably tell, this is how they earn money.
They earn by getting people to watch the ads. So, making people watch the same ad over and over again in succession just gives a greedy vibe.
Plus, you can’t skip the ads because you won’t be able to proceed to the next step. Using this app will really test your patience, in my opinion.
Red flag #2 – Extremely generous rewards
Every time I encounter an app or a site that offers extremely generous rewards, I think to myself that there must be a catch. And in Super Charge’s case, it gives the impression that you are actually earning good money with no effort.
It’s like the app is handing out free money, which is never a good sign. You see, if the app really pays you hundreds of dollars for simply charging your phone, then they will go bankrupt in just a matter of hours.
As I’ve explained earlier, I managed to hit the payout threshold of $500 in just a matter of minutes. That never happens in legit apps, and the only reason why they do this is to hook you in so that you keep using the app, and they keep getting paid for the video ads you watch.
This leads me to the next red flag.
Red flag #3 – Additional requirements when cashing out
As explained earlier, you will be presented with additional requirements when you attempt to cash out the money you’ve supposedly earned.

The problem is that even if you manage to complete the additional requirement, the app will just add another one. In the end, you will just end up pissed and lose interest in claiming your rewards.
This, in my opinion, is also the main reason why Super Charge hands out rewards generously. They do it to keep you glued to the app, but they never intend to pay you.
And as I’ve mentioned earlier, they are not the first ones to do this kind of thing. All of the apps and sites that I’ve encountered before that have hidden requirements when cashing out will never allow you to receive your earnings.
Final Thoughts
Super Charge is an app where you can supposedly earn just by charging your mobile phone. However, as explained above, you will never receive your earnings.
To conclude this review, let me summarize the app’s pros and cons to give you an overview of what Super Charge really offers. Then, you’ll understand why I would not recommend you waste your time on this app.

Pros:
- N/A

Cons:
- Very high payout threshold
- Has hidden requirements for cashing out
- The app is very spammy
- You will not get paid
Just to be clear, I do not recommend you waste your time on this app. Super Charge is not worth your time because you will never receive your earnings. Plus, the app will really test your patience because every time you click something, you will be bombarded with video ads.
