SurveySavvy Review – Is It Legit? (Yes, BUT Not Good for All)

SurveySavvy Rating

SurveySavvy has both pros and cons. In some countries, you can earn passively just by installing their software which is the biggest advantage of the site. But overall the earning potential is quite low.

SurveySavvy is a paid survey site that has been around for more than a decade.

But is SurveySavvy legit or a scam to stay away from?

Let me just put your mind to ease right away and reveal that SurveySavvy is legit, as you cane arn from it, as it claims.

However, now the question is, is it worth your time?

This is definitely something you need to consider, and it definitely has both pros and cons and is honestly not a good option for all.

This SurveySavvy review will take an in-depth look at what you can get and exactly what it offers so you can make an informed decision about whether it's for you or not.

So let's get started.

What is SurveySavvy, and what does it offer?

As mentioned above, SurveySavvy.com is a market research company that pays you to give feedback through surveys.

It is owned by the company Luth Research, LLC. Luth Research, LLC has actually been in the market research business for more than 30 years, and this shows it is a legit survey site with a reputable company behind it.

This does, however, not mean it will necessarily give great options for you as a member.

To better judge if SurveySavvy is a good survey site for you, let's take a look at the earning opportunities.

I have made a video that gives you a guided tour of SurveySavvy and gives you an inside look so you can see exactly what you get. You can also read all the details below the video:

Option 1 – SurveySavvy surveys

As you can probably already guess, the main source of your earnings on SurveySavvy will be by taking paid surveys.

As soon as you log in to their website, you will quickly see the available surveys that you can take.

You will quickly see the available surveys when you log in to the site.

It works just like any survey site. You take the survey and submit it. Once SurveySavvy deems that the submitted survey qualifies, you will receive the payment.

The amount you earned for taking the survey will be reflected in your account.

Keep in mind that you have to make sure your profile is updated so that you will have more chances of receiving a survey.

Overall, SurveySavvy does not have a huge number of available surveys.

But what makes it a bit more unique than other survey sites is that it has a software you can install called SavvyConnect, which potentially can help you qualify for more surveys.

But I will go into more details about this software below.

Option 2 – Earn passively with SavvyConnect

As mentioned above, SurveySavvy has a sotfware you can install that can potentially help you qualify for more surveys.

If you install this, you will get access to what they call their VIP surveys, but you can also use this software to earn in a different way.

This software is actually a tool that will collect data about your internet activities. It's in some ways similar to what Nielsen Computer & Mobile Panel uses.

And at the same time, SavvyConnect is also some kind of filter that helps SurveySavvy check whether you are qualified for the surveys that are available.

But for the more conservative users, this can be seen as an intrusion to their privacy.

But that doesn't necessarily mean it's a problem.

It depends on your preference, as your browsing history and other internet activities are actually information. Whether or not you are willing to share that with a third party is up to you (it will be shared anonymously, of course).

But to get the most out of SurveySavvy, it can help you to install it, but you do not have to install it to be able to take surveys.

Another advantage if you are willing to install SavvyConnect is that you can actually earn some passive money every month as you will earn just by having it installed. So, you get paid for sharing this data without having to do anything else.

But I will go more into detail about exactly how much you can earn later.

Option 3 – Referral program

You can also earn money from SurveySavvy through their referral program.

Their referral program actually has two tiers. The first tier is your direct referrals. These are the people that you've referred to the site.

The second tier is indirect referrals. These are the people that were referred to by your direct referrals.

The way their referral program works is that you will actually earn a piece of the earnings of your direct and indirect referrals.

This does not mean the friend you invited will earn less – this is paid out of the pockets of SurveySavvy as thanks to you for inviting someone else to the platform.

The member dashboard will display the progress of your referrals.

It is a nice passive income that keeps flowing as long as your referrals remain active on the site.

It is actually a nice touch and is probably one of the reasons why the site has lasted this long. In my opinion, sites with a good referral program will always attract more members.

However, they do not reveal how much you earn for inviting others. This is very strange because usually survey sites make it very clear what you can expect to earn.

But not having enough information about what they offer is a general problem about SurveySavvy, in my opinion.

How do you get paid?

If you are looking for ways to earn real money, this can be a good site for you. That's because SurveySavvy will only pay you real money.

There are no products, vouchers, or coupon rewards – just cash.

Everything you earn will be in dollars, which makes it easy to get an overview of your earnings.

If you want to cash out, you can just log in to your account and request your payment. They will then send you a check to the address that you used when you registered.

The good thing about this site is that it only requires that your account has at least $1 before you can request a payout. That's one good thing going for them.

You do have to remember that since the check will be mailed to your address, it will usually take some time for it to arrive. And it also takes SurveySavvy 4-12 weeks to even process the payment.

That's a VERY long wait. Unfortunately, you are stuck with that because there is no other way for you to get your payout. You can't link your Paypal or bank account to their website.

If you are looking for a more convenient way to receive your payout, you can check out the best sites that pay through PayPal.

Personally, I prefer when sites offer electronic methods – especially if you are an international user (not living in the US) this is important to consider before joining.

In some countries, you will have to pay a fee for exchanging a foreign check, or they might not even accept it. So make sure of how this works in your country before spending too much time earning on SurveySavvy.

How much money can you make?

Here is where the main issue of SurveySavvy is evident. Most of the surveys offered will only allow you to earn around $0.5 to $2 at most.

Let's paint a picture to make it clear for you. Let's say you get 6 surveys a month. If everything goes well, you stand to earn around $6 to $12 if you complete them.

A 6-survey month is actually not a very high number for a survey site, and you will only earn a maximum of $12. That's pretty low.

The good thing is that they do reward you with something if you get disqualified for a survey. You get a chance to be included in their monthly draw. There are some minor prizes in case you win.

If you choose not to install the SavvyConnect software, you won't get as many surveys. That will cause a dip in the possible earnings you can get.

But if you do install SavvyConnect, you can actually earn some passive money every month, and this is, in my opinion, the best earning potential on SurveySavvy.

By installing the software, you will earn $3 every month just for having it installed (this used to be $5, but they have. unfortunately lowered it). And you can do this on several devices. So, if you have a phone, a desktop, and a tablet, you can earn $12 per month without doing anything.

So, the biggest earning potential is if you are willing to install SavvyConnet. However, at the moment of updating this review, they only pay US users for installing this software.

So overall, the earning potential on SurveySavvy is not impressive.

Can you use it on mobile?

SurveySavvy does have one thing going for them. The mobile version of their website is gorgeous.

The color scheme is simple yet elegant. Plus, the site is responsive. You will see all the content properly – even on smaller screens.

You do have to use a mobile browser and not an app to log in.

Once you are logged in, the member dashboard looks exactly just like the member dashboard of the desktop version. You won't have a hard time adjusting to the navigation process of the website.

They do have an option to install SavvyConnect on your mobile device. But you have to sign up for SurveySavvy before you can download the SavvyConnect app.

The app works on both Android and iOS mobile devices.

Who can join SurveySavvy?

Another good thing about SurveySavvy is that it is available globally.

Once you register, they will ask you to choose from the countries listed. If your country is not listed among the choices, they will ask you to contact them.

You do have to be over 14 years of age in order to sign up for it. And you have to provide your correct address because this is what they will use to mail your check. So keep that in mind when registering.

Lastly, the sign-up process is free. You won't be asked to pay for anything.

Their registration process is actually pretty straightforward. It does have a section where you need to fill in a few details.

The address you provide will be used to mail the payout you request.

You need to provide the details in this part of the registration process because SurveySavvy will use it to qualify you for surveys.

One thing to note when registering on their website is that not all countries will provide equal opportunities. Some countries will have fewer available surveys.

This is because SurveySavvy works with its partner companies when providing surveys to members. If your country doesn't have a company associated with SurveySavvy, chances are, you will only qualify for a few surveys.

Also, as mentioned earlier, you cannot earn by installing SavvyConnect in all countries.

Can you get support?

SurveySavvy offers its members a way to contact them through its Contact Us page.

The Contact Us page consists of a search bar for frequently asked questions. It also has a contact form you can use to send them a message or inquiry.

A quick check on their Facebook page shows that they haven't been active for quite some time now.

I always use their social media sites to gauge how active they are in engaging with their members. It seems that they don't really put an effort to do that.

My suspicions were supported when I checked their TrustPilot page.

Although there were only a few comments on their TrustPilot page, which were all complaints, I might add, they never really replied to these complaints.

That just shows how much effort they put into reaching out to their members. In my opinion, if there are complaints about your site, you do your best to resolve them.

In this case, all I see is silence on their part. But hey, maybe they do it through their official mode of communication, which is through their contact form.

And on the website, you can actually also see a phone number you can use to contact them.

This is quite unusual for survey sites, so this might be a good way to get in touch with them if you should need help at some point.

Final Verdict

SurveySavvy is a site that offers real money rewards to you as a member.

Although they have been around for quite some time now, it still doesn't mean that becoming a member is a worthwhile endeavor.

To give you a clear picture, let's, therefore, finish this review by summing up its pros and cons.

pros

Pros:

  • Pays in cash
  • Low payout threshold
  • You can earn passive money by installing their software
cons

Cons:

  • Low rewards for surveys completed
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • No PayPal or bank account payout option
  • Support can be slow / non-responsive

The longevity of SurveySavvy doesn't really reflect how good this site is in terms of earning possibilities.

The rewards you get from completing the surveys are simply too low, in my opinion. There are many survey sites that provide far better rewards in real money.

Also, the option to receive your payout through your bank account or PayPal isn't available. This means you have to wait a long time before you can actually receive your money.

In my honest opinion, you are better off registering with one of the best survey sites in your country if you mainly want to earn by taking online surveys.

However, if you would like to use the SavvyConnect software, then it is quite easy money, as all you have to do is install the software (just remember that this option is not available in all countries).

I would just advise you to also join additional sites as Surveysavvy alone will not give you big opportunities, but as an extra site, it might be worth checking out.

If you have any comments, questions, or have any experiences with SurveySavvy yourself, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.

  1. Just an update on Savvyconnect – you now get paid $3 per device for which you install the software, it’s not $5 anymore.
