Now, the question is, should you use it?
I examined the site to see how it works and how it compares with other sites that offer virtual assistant jobs.
In this Time Etc review, I will reveal the truth of what it has to offer so you can figure out if it is worth joining or not. So, let’s go ahead and take a closer look at this website, shall we?
What is Time etc, and what does it offer?
Time etc is a website that offers virtual assistant services for its clients and paid work for virtual assistants as well. But for the purposes of this review, I will only focus on how virtual assistants can earn from it.
And yes, it is indeed a legit site because you will really get paid to complete jobs. But the question is, is it worth your time?
To answer this question, you must first understand how the site works and the only way to do that is to examine the earning opportunity it offers.
So, here’s how to earn from Time Etc.
The earning opportunity – Jobs
The only way to earn from Time etc is to work on virtual assistant jobs. Once you become a virtual assistant, you will be matched with potential clients for jobs that you can earn from.
You will see the job offers on the member dashboard. The offer will tell you how much you will earn and the type of job you have to do.
The jobs that will be offered to you will be in accordance with the skills you indicated when you applied for a virtual assistant position for Time etc (I will discuss more on this later). The photo below shows the potential jobs you can work on.
The common jobs you can find on Time etc are schedule management, data entry, research, writing, inbox management, social media marketing and management, and more. Again, you will only be offered jobs that will fit the skills you’ve indicated during the application process.
If you decide to accept a job, expect that you will have to use some kind of time-tracking software because Time Etc pays by the hour. I personally wasn’t able to test the exact workflow process of Time etc, so I can’t comment on how they can track your working hours.
But based on my experience, if a company pays by the hour, they will usually require you to use a time-tracking program. Now, when accepting jobs, you will have to indicate what time you are willing to work.
However, some jobs will require you to work at a certain time. It’s up to you if you want to accept those jobs or not. So, you will still be totally in control of when you want to work.
When you complete a job, you will receive the payment, and it will be credited to your Time etc account. In the next section, I will discuss how you will get paid.

How do you get paid?
Every time you complete a job, you will earn a certain amount depending on how many hours you’ve worked. But how will you be able to withdraw your earnings?
The good news is that Time etc offers a convenient payment method. They will pay you via PayPal. Unfortunately, the website doesn’t indicate when you will get paid. Based on my experience, sites like this usually pay monthly. So, expect to receive your earnings after every month.
Aside from that, you also don’t need to reach a threshold to withdraw your earnings. Time etc will deposit your earnings into your PayPal account regardless of how much you’ve earned (as long as you’ve earned of course).
What I’m sure about though, is that there will be a PayPal fee involved when Time Etc deposits your earnings to your account. The site just doesn’t tell you how much it will be.

How much money can you make?
While you might think the hourly rate of $13 to $17 that Time etc offers is an excellent rate, you have to consider that it will only accept virtual assistants with at least five years of experience. Now, why does this matter, though?
Well, to put it simply, this rate is quite low for virtual assistants with that kind of experience, in my opinion. It might be a decent rate for virtual assistants who are just starting, but experienced virtual assistants can demand a higher hourly rate (normally around $20 or more per hour).
So, you could say that you will be paid less than you are supposed to be if you work for Time Etc. That’s why I would say the earning potential of Time etc is relatively low.
Can you use it on mobile?
Time etc doesn’t have a mobile app you can download, but you will be able to access the website from a mobile device conveniently using a mobile web browser since the site is optimized for mobile use.
However, I don’t see the need to do this because all of the work that needs to be done will involve using a computer.
That’s why I would only recommend you use Time etc, on a laptop or desktop since you don’t have to keep logging in to it. You can just use it when you are in front of your computer and ready to work.
Who can join Time etc?
Time etc is only for virtual assistants living in the US or the UK. If you live somewhere else, then this opportunity is not for you.
To apply as a virtual assistant, you have to be at least 18 years of age. Just go to the application page of the website and fill out the form. Then, you’ll have to answer several questions.
These questions are the sort of questions you will encounter when you are applying for a job. It will take a few minutes to complete it and once you are done, you will see something similar to the photo above.
As you can see, you’ll have to wait at least five days before you will hear back from them. Plus, there’s no guarantee Time Etc will accept your application.
As mentioned earlier, you will need to be an experienced virtual assistant (at least 5 to 8 years of experience) to be considered for the position. During the application process, you will also have to indicate the skills and jobs you are willing to do.
This is an important aspect of the application process because this will determine the type of jobs that will be offered to you. So, make sure to carefully consider the skills you indicate and the jobs you are willing to do.
And as shown in the photo above, if your application is accepted, you’ll have to go through a video interview before you will be finally accepted as a Time Etc virtual assistant. Once you get accepted, Time Etc will also do a background check on you. And based on my experience, this kind of thing will also involve some kind of fee.
The entire application process is quite long, so this is not a site you should expect to earn from immediately. It’s also not a site that is a good fit for everyone. You should only apply if you have the experience to back up your application process.
Otherwise, you will just be wasting your time.
Can you get support?
As I’ve mentioned earlier, the site severely lacks useful information for virtual assistants who are interested in joining the platform. So, chances are, if you have any questions about the site or your account, you will have to get in touch with their support team to get the answer you need.
You can do so by emailing them at hello@timeetc.com. The good thing, though, is that based on feedback from members, Time Etc’s support team is very responsive and helpful, so you should be able to resolve your inquiries or issues easily.
Overall, I would say Time Etc offers decent support for its virtual assistants because it offers a convenient way for you to get in touch with its support team. That being said, I wish the website would provide more useful information about being a Time etc virtual assistant. That way, applicants will have a good idea of what to expect if they get accepted.

Time etc is a legit site that will allow you to earn extra cash by working on virtual assistant jobs. It has a couple of decent features, but it also has some limitations you need to consider.
