Gauge Research Review – Worth It? (What You NEED to Know)

Gauge Research Rating

Gauge Research is not a bad survey app. Its main downside is that it doesn’t offer a lot of opportunities to earn, so it’s not something you can reliably earn from.

Gauge Research is a mobile app that claims to let you earn by sharing your feedback and opinions.

In my opinion, it’s a simple and appealing claim, but the question is, is it worth it?

Well, that’s what you will find out in this Gauge Research review because it will talk about what the app offers. Then, you’ll know exactly what to expect from it before you even hit the install button.

So, let’s go ahead and take a look at Gauge Research, shall we?

What is Guage Research, and what does it offer?

Gauge Research is a legit survey app that will let you earn by answering surveys. Now, the first thing that we must do to find out if it is worth it is to understand how it works.

The only way to do so is to examine the earning opportunities it offers so you will have a good idea of how much time and effort is needed to earn from it. So, here’s how to earn from Gauge Research.

Option 1 – Paid Surveys

The main way to earn from Gauge Research is by answering paid surveys. When you sign up as a member, you can opt-in to receive notifications via email or SMS if there are surveys available for you to answer.

You must answer surveys to earn rewards.

If there is an available survey, just log in to the app, and you will see a red notification in the Surveys section (refer to the photo above). Now, what you need to remember is that most surveys that will be sent your way are already pre-screened, which means you are already eligible to take the surveys.

You don’t have to go through a qualifying process like on most other survey sites or apps. While this may sound like a good thing, one big disadvantage it presents is that the number of surveys will be few and far between, which means it’s not a great way to earn regularly.

After you complete a survey, you’ll receive the stated reward, which will be a specific amount. Later, I will discuss how their payout system works.

Most surveys only take around 5 to 10 minutes to finish, but some surveys take longer to complete. These are the higher-paying surveys, so you may want to prioritize them, in my opinion, since you can earn more from them.

Option 2 – Research Opportunities

This earning opportunity is not guaranteed, but I decided to include it anyway because you can potentially earn a significant amount from it.

In some cases, Gauge Research will reach out with opportunities to go deeper with brands or organizations that need more specific feedback.

This opportunity can be in the form of 1-on-1 interviews, focus groups, or other forms of research opportunities. They’ll basically ask you to participate in one in exchange for more significant rewards (you can potentially earn $100 or more).

Although I can’t really say more about it because I never got the opportunity to participate in one while testing the app, it’s something you need to know in case they invite you to one.

Option 3 – Referral Program

Lastly, if you’ve been a member long enough and have answered quite a few surveys, the referral program will be made available to you so you can earn additional rewards. It’s not quite clear how their referral program works, but the idea is to invite people to join the app by sharing your referral link.

Then, when they click the link and install the app, they must complete the registration. Once they’ve done that, they’ll become your referral. You’ll then receive a $5 reward for every successful referral you get.

What’s not quite clear is how they define a “successful referral”. In my experience, referral programs usually have additional requirements to be considered a successful referral. Usually, your referrals must complete a survey or make a payout to be considered a successful referral.

All will be made clear to you once this opportunity is unlocked, so you just have to be patient.

How do you get paid?

For every survey you complete, you will earn a specified amount, and it will be credited to your Gauge Research account balance. Then, once you’ve earned at least $5, you can withdraw your earnings via PayPal or redeem a gift card of your choice.

All of this will be done through a platform called Tremendous. While it involves an additional step, it’s still simple enough, in my opinion, and you’ll get used to it after a couple of tries.

So, overall, I would say its payout system is relatively straightforward. I like the fact that it offers PayPal as a payout method since it is one of the more convenient options available. If you are interested in more sites that use a convenient payout method, I suggest you also check out the top sites that pay via PayPal.

How much money can you make?

Gauge Research actually pays a decent rate per survey. You can earn around $1 to $5 per survey you complete. These are the surveys that will only take less than 10 minutes to complete. For surveys that take longer, you can earn more than $10.

For research opportunities that take a significant amount of time to complete, you can earn more than $100. However, even though it pays quite well, I would still say its earning potential is not that great because there aren’t a lot of surveys available.

So, it will still take quite some time before you can earn a significant amount from it. That’s why I wouldn’t consider it a great source of extra income, in my opinion.

Can you use it on a desktop?

Gauge Research is a mobile-only platform, so you will need a mobile device to earn from it. As for the app, it used to have an Android version, but as of writing this review, the iOS version is the only downloadable version. So, if you are an Android user, this is not for you. I suggest you check out the best money-making apps for Android instead.

The app will only work with iOS devices.

The app is quite user-friendly, so you can easily navigate it. You also won’t encounter any annoying pop-up ads while using it, which is why I would say the overall user experience it provides is quite decent.

Who can join Gauge Research?

Technically speaking, Gauge Research is available worldwide, so you can sign up as a member anywhere in the world. However, most of the opportunities are for people who live in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. So, if you live somewhere else, you might find it hard to find opportunities to earn.

To sign up, you must first install the app. Then, when you open the app for the first time, you’ll be asked to go through the registration process. You can sign up using your Apple account or your email address. After you are done signing up, you can log in to the app and set up your profile.

As mentioned earlier, you can set Gauge Research to notify you via email or SMS (or both) if there are available surveys for you. This makes it a bit more convenient because you don’t have to keep logging in to the app just to check if there are opportunities to earn.

Once your profile is set, all you have to do is wait for a survey to be available.

Can you get support?

If you have questions about the app, you can check out the Help section of the website. It discusses most of the common topics you need to know about Gauge Research. If you can’t find the answers you need, you can submit a support ticket through the Help page as well.

Overall, I would say it provides a convenient way for you to ask for help, which is all you can ask for from a survey app, in my opinion.

Final Verdict

Gauge Research is a legit survey app that will let you earn by answering surveys. It has a couple of good features, but it also has some limitations you may want to consider.

Let me summarize its pros and cons to end this review so that you can see a clear overview of what it offers. Then, you can decide if it is worth it or not.

pros

Pros:

  • The app is user-friendly

cons

Cons:

Gauge Research is not a bad survey app, in my opinion. Its main downside is that it doesn’t offer a lot of opportunities to earn, so it’s not something you can reliably earn from.

To be fair, it does pay a decent amount per survey. So, if you live in the US, UK, Canada, or Australia, I recommend you use it if you need an additional survey app to earn from. It can serve as a secondary app to earn from. Just make sure to set your expectations properly in terms of earning potential.
