If you've been looking for ways to earn some extra money online, chances are you've encountered BizRate Rewards. This survey site claims to reward you for each survey you complete.
But is BizRate Rewards legit and worth your time?
Let me just reveal right away that, for all intents and purposes, BizRate Rewards is a legit site. It does what it claims to do.
So, does this mean it is a good idea to join their panel or not? Well, that will depend.
This BizRate Rewards review will help you figure out an answer to that question for YOU. It will show you all that you need to know so you can decide if BizRate Rewards is indeed a good fit for you or not.
So, let's get the ball rolling, shall we?
What is BizRate Rewards, and what does it offer?
BizRate Rewards is a survey site that rewards you for completing the surveys they offer.
It is a division of Bizrate Insights, a market research company that mainly deals with collecting customer feedback to help its clients make business decisions.
To understand the full potential of BizRate Rewards as a survey site, we need to take a closer look at how you will be able to earn from this site. That way, you will know what to expect if you ever decide to become a member.
So here is its earning opportunity.
The earning opportunity – Paid surveys
The only way for you to earn rewards from BizRate Rewards is by answering their paid surveys.
As you can see in the photo above, their process of earning rewards is pretty straightforward.
It starts with you having to complete your profile by answering a few questions about yourself. They do this to determine what type of surveys to send your way.
Once you've completed your profile, you can then expect to receive invitations to answer surveys.
But take note, the survey invitations won't be regular. According to their website, you can expect a maximum of two survey invites per week.
Once you receive an invite through email, you can then click the link and start answering the survey.
Normally though, you'd have to answer a few pre-qualifying questions before you can get to the actual survey. They do this to make sure you are indeed included in the demographic the survey is targeting.
They also do this to make sure you don't waste your time. Because if you don't qualify, you won't have to answer the actual survey. You can just move on to the next survey available to you.
Once you've completed the actual survey, BizRate Rewards will reward you with a certain number of points. Usually, the longer the survey, the more points you get.
The points you get can then be exchanged for any reward you want that is available in their rewards catalog (which I will discuss next).

How do you get paid?
If you are hoping to earn real money from BizRate Rewards, then you will be disappointed.
BizRate Rewards will only reward you with gift cards and vouchers. But for some, this can also be as good as real money, especially if you shop online quite often.
As you can see in the photo above, you will only be able to earn e-gift cards.
They don't say specifically what type of e-gift cards you get, but it seems there are several choices you can make. You can either go for Amazon, Home Depot, iTunes, Target, and Walmart e-gift cards.
This is expected because these are some of the biggest names in the online retail store industry. So, if you frequently shop on any of these sites, joining their panel can be a valid option for you.
Keep in mind, though, that you have to reach a minimum of 5,000 points to redeem an e-gift card of your choice.
That will be equivalent to $5. In my opinion, this is a pretty low payment threshold. This means you will be able to get your rewards pretty quickly.
How much money can you make?
As stated, you won't be able to earn real money from BizRate Rewards.
But if you consider gift cards and vouchers as real money, then the question of how much you can earn will depend on the number of invites you will get, the actual number of surveys you complete, and the number of points you get for completing a survey.
Two survey invites a week is not too bad, in my opinion, even though it is not as many as you can find on the top paying surveys sites, where you will sometimes be able to get 5-10 surveys per day.
But this, at the very least, ensures you get to earn points weekly, making it faster to hit the 5,000-point requirement.
The question now is, how many points will you get for each survey you complete?
It will vary from 5 points to 1,000 points per survey. Of course, this will depend on the length and subject of the survey.
However, in my experience, you seldom get the maximum number of points for a completed survey, so you can't expect to get to the 5,000-point threshold within just a week or two.
But overall, the fact that it will only require you 5,000 points or $5 to start redeeming rewards makes it a bit more appealing because you don't have to answer a lot of surveys just to get to that point. But then again, this will entirely depend on how many points you get for each survey.
Can you use it on mobile?
Being able to answer a survey on a mobile device can make you earn points more efficiently simply because you will be able to answer it anytime you want.
However, there is no mention on their website about a BizRate Rewards app you can download on your mobile phone to do so. And, there is no indication on their website about any app you can use.
But you will still be able to access their site on a mobile device if you use a mobile web browser.
The good thing is that their site is optimized for mobile use. You will be able to view all the content properly. You won't need to scroll left and right or zoom in and out just to read the content.
So, there's a huge probability that the surveys they offer are also optimized for mobile use. This makes it easier for you to accumulate points to get to the 5,000-point threshold faster.
Who can join BizRate Rewards?
Up to this point, everything about BizRate Rewards seems pretty straightforward. But here is where it gets a bit more complicated.
Typically, when you visit a survey site, you will be able to see a join or register button on their homepage.
But with BizRate Rewards, you won't be able to see that anywhere on their website. So, it means you won't be able to register on their website.
As you can see in the photo above, the only way for you to join their panel is if you answer a satisfaction survey from any affiliated online retailer of BizRate Insights.
You need to get an invitation for one of these surveys, and you can request an invitation like this on the BizRate website.
But that means you will not be able to start earning right away. First, you have to wait to receive the survey invitation and then take the time to fill out a survey without getting paid for it.
If you then qualify, you will get access to the actual paid surveys of BizRate.
This is quite a lot more complicated than most other survey sites.
They do mention on their website that only residents of the US can join their panel, so you also need to be aware of this.
However, there is no mention of the minimum age required. But I assume you'd have to be at least 18 years of age to join (which is the standard requirement in most survey sites).
Can you get support?
What I like about how BizRate Rewards provides support is how they present their FAQ section.
It is pretty comprehensive, well, except for the fact that they forgot to mention who those online retailers are (which is really a big deal, in my opinion).
Their FAQ section covers a lot of relevant topics. This, at least, lessens the questions you will be asking their support team.
They also have a contact page, so you can send them a message if you have further questions. They did not have a contact page when I first tested the site, so it's great to see they have added this option.
They also have a Facebook and Twitter page, but both haven't been active for quite some time now.´, so you should not expect to get any help on those pages.
Final Verdict
BizRate Rewards is a legit survey site that rewards you for completing their surveys. It does have its downside, though.
So, let's finish this review with a summary of its pros and cons to help you better decide if this is indeed a good fit for you.
Pros:
- Low payment threshold
- Plenty of gift cards to choose from
Cons:
- Won't reward you with real money
- Pretty hard to become a member
As you can see, the main disadvantage of BizRate Rewards is that you won't be able to earn real money. You can only get gift cards. The good thing is that there are plenty of gift cards to choose from.
So, if you like receiving gift cards, this can be a decent site to join because of the low payment threshold. That is, of course, if you ever manage to become a member of their panel.
If you are interested in survey sites that will allow you to earn real money regularly, I recommend you check out the top survey sites in your country.
This list has plenty of survey sites to choose from. Best of all, you will be able to find a site for you that will allow you to register without a problem, regardless of where you live.
If you have any comments, questions, or experiences with BizRate Rewards, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.
I did an intro surveyor them, & got 4 magazine subscriptions (free!) but a $2,00 per handling processing etc fee. I stopped at this page. I did get an email to join/activate n start soing surveys. So legit, huh?
Thanks for sharing your experiences about this.
I recently achieved (10,000) points, which entitled me to a $100.00 gift card. I then went through the process of redeeming my reward. Conveniently, it did not go through and all of a sudden I was charged back (350) points because one of the survey owners didn’t like my responses. So now I am (350) points short of redeeming for the $100, and for some bizarre reason, I can no longer take any surveys to even try to make up the lost points. So DO NOT waste your time taking these surveys if you are hoping to be compensated, because you won’t. Total fraud and rip off.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
This is an update to my previous post from 4/23/2023. This website is even worse than I thought. Nowhere on the website does it tell you what a point is equal to. I guess I should have checked this website first. After probably (9) hours completing (27) surveys, plus an additional (7-8) hours starting numerous surveys to be told either the survey was full or I did not qualify for the survey, and finally earing (10,000) points, I was finally awarded my compensation. It was a $10.00 gift card. So, just the surveys I did complete, I was paid $1.10 an hour or (.37) cents per survey. A (300) point survey may take (10-15) minutes. That (10-15) minutes would earn you (.003) cents. Woohoo!! Unless you simply enjoy taking surveys and are not interested in earning any compensation, go on to the next survey service.
