BrandBee Review – Is it Legit? (Details Explained)

BrandBee (previously Mobile Performance Meter) is a mobile app that claims you can earn rewards by sharing your opinion. Over the years, I have encountered hundreds of apps that make the same claim, so I know by experience that not all of them are legit or worth it.

Now, the question is, is this app legit or just another scam?

What is BrandBee, and what does it offer?

BrandBee is a survey app that rewards you for completing surveys. It used to be called Mobile Performance Meter, and I have previously reviewed that. But I decided to write this new review because the new version is, in my opinion, a completely different app.

And yes, it is indeed a legit app since you can really earn rewards from it. However, that doesn’t mean it is worth your time. To figure out if you should install this app, you must first understand how it works. The best way to do that is to examine the earning opportunities it offers, so you will know how much time and effort you need to invest to earn rewards from it.

So, here’s how to earn from BrandBee.

Option 1 – Paid Surveys

One way to earn from BrandBee is to answer surveys. This opportunity was also available in the old version, but only as a secondary earning option. But with the latest version, it has become more of the primary way to earn from the app.

If you have joined survey apps before, then this opportunity will be very familiar to you because it works the same way as the surveys you can find on other survey apps. You choose the survey you want to answer and click it.

Then, you answer a few qualifying questions so that BrandBee can find out if you belong to the group the survey is meant for. If you qualify, you get to answer the actual survey. If you don’t qualify, you just move on to the next available survey.

You will receive a certain number of coins after completing a survey. Later, I will discuss what you can do with the coins you‘ve earned.

When I tested the app, there weren't many surveys available (about 5 to 6 per day), so it’s quite hard to earn regularly from this opportunity.

Option 2 – Magic Receipt

BrandBee has introduced a new earning opportunity called Magic Receipt, which rewards you for scanning your physical receipts. When your receipts contain qualifying items, you’ll receive points that can be converted into rewards.

To earn from this reward, you'll have to go to the Magic Receipts section, select a deal you are interested in, and then buy it from a physical store. Each deal will outline the product details, required purchase quantities, and participating stores. So, make sure to check the details before you go out and buy the product.

After buying the product, take a photo of the receipt using the app and upload it. Make sure to take a clear photo because your submission will be rejected if the images you submit are blurry. It happened to me once when I was testing the app.

After submitting the image, just wait for BrandBee to review it. If everything is in order, you will receive the reward, which will be in the form of coins. It's a fairly simple process, but you must always make sure you submit a new receipt.

The website is not quite clear on how old a receipt should be to be qualified, but based on my experience, it should not be more than 7 days old. At least, that's how it usually works with other platforms that offer the same kind of opportunity.

Option 3 – Cashback Offers

Another way to earn from BrandBee is through its cashback offers. In case you are not familiar with this opportunity, let me explain how it works.

The idea is to buy an item from a store that offers cash back. To start, just log in to the app, go to the Cashback section, and see if there are offers that you will be interested in. When I tested the app, there were cashback offers from popular online retailers like Macy’s, Amazon, Best Buy, and more.

However, the cashback rates were quite low, in my opinion, during my testing. So, you won’t earn a lot from this opportunity. Before you avail yourself of an offer, make sure to read the conditions you need to meet to receive the reward.

After you complete the purchase and you’ve followed all the instructions, you will be eligible to receive the cashback reward. However, this will not be credited to your BrandBee account balance immediately.

That’s because the store must wait for the refund period to clear before it awards any cashback rewards to BrandBee. So, this opportunity is not something you can immediately earn from.

Option 4 – Playing Games

You can also earn rewards by playing games. This is a recent addition to the earning opportunities BrandBee offers.

The idea is to choose an offerwall to see the games you can play. Some offerwalls are time-based, while others are task-based. Time-based offerwalls will reward you for playing a game for a certain duration. However, you must keep in mind that this system has diminishing returns, which means you will earn less the longer you keep playing a certain game.

This is to incentivize people to try various games. For task-based offerwalls, you'll earn rewards by completing certain tasks in the game. Most of the time, you'll be asked to reach a certain level in the game to earn the reward. Sometimes, you'll also see tasks that will ask you to make in-app purchases.

These tasks usually offer significantly higher rewards, but you must be careful which ones you should complete, because some of them are not worth it, based on my experience. When I was testing this opportunity, there were a good number of offerwalls available, so you won't run out of ways to earn.

Aside from that, the bulk of my earnings from this app, when I was testing it, came from this opportunity. Plus, in some offerwalls, you can also earn free offers that will ask you to watch videos. They don't typically offer high rewards, so you shouldn't prioritize them, in my opinion.

How do you get paid?

The earning opportunities BrandBee offers will reward you with coins. Now, the question is, what can you do with the coins you’ve earned? Well, as you can see in the photo below, you can use them to redeem various gift cards or PayPal cash, which is a recent addition.

You can redeem a gift card for Amazon, Best Buy, Macy’s, and more. The number of coins required to redeem a gift card will depend on the type of gift card you redeem. Some gift cards will only require you to earn 300 coins. These are worth $3. Other gift cards will require more coins (around 1,000 to 2,500 coins).

I checked out the PayPal option, and the minimum amount you can redeem is $3 (300 coins). This means the conversion rate will be 100 coins equals $1, so it’s quite easy to figure out how much you’ve earned.

Overall, the payment system of BrandBee is relatively straightforward. I do like the fact that it now offers cash rewards. So, if you are looking for more sites and apps that pay in cash, I suggest you check out the top sites that pay via PayPal as well.

How much money can you make?

I will say right now that you will not earn a lot from BrandBee. The good thing, though, is that it has added a couple of new earning opportunities. But, as mentioned earlier, there are only a few surveys available at any given time. Plus, you actually have to qualify before you can earn from a survey.

There are also not a lot of cashback offers available, so you will most likely not find any interesting offers. Plus, the cashback rates offered are also not that great. But even though there are more earning opportunities now, it still won’t be enough to significantly increase your earnings, in my opinion.

As for the number of coins you can earn per survey, you will only earn around 30 to 50 coins per survey. If you convert that to cash, that will only be worth $0.30 to $0.50 per survey. That is why I would say BrandBee's earning potential is very low.

The older version had better earning potential, in my opinion, because it would, at least, let you earn passively, which can significantly impact the amount you can earn per month.

Can you use it on a desktop?

BrandBee is a mobile-only platform, so you will need to use a mobile device to earn from it. It used to be only available to Android users. However, it now has an iOS version as well, so iOS users can earn using their phone, too.

The app is relatively user-friendly, so you should not have any problems navigating it. Plus, you won’t encounter any annoying pop-up ads while using it. The overall user experience it provides is generally pleasant, in my opinion.

Who can join BrandBee?

BrandBee doesn’t list which countries it is available in, but from what I can see, it is only available in a few, like the US and possibly Canada. The best way to find out if it is available in your country is to search for it on Google Play.

If you can find it among the results, it is available in your country. To sign up, you must install the app first. Then, when you open the app for the first time, it will ask you how you want to log in. For this, you can use your Google or Facebook account to sign up.

Now, if you were a member of Mobile Performance Member, you’d unfortunately have to sign up again because your old account will not be carried over to the new BrandBee platform.

Can you get support?

BrandBee is a legit survey app that will let you earn from paid surveys and cashback offers. It has a couple of decent features, but it also has certain limitations you need to be aware of.

In my opinion, BrandBee is not a bad app. It has significantly improved since its first iteration, because there are now a decent number of earning opportunities available. So, there's a good chance you can earn regularly from it.

However, I would only recommend you join it if you need an additional app to earn from. Just make sure to temper your expectations a bit in terms of its earning potential.
