Clawee Review – Legit & Worth It? (All Details Revealed)

Do you love claw machine games you can play in the arcade? Well, you no longer have to go to a specific location to play those games – there’s a mobile app that claims you can do the same thing from your phone.

This app is called Clawee, and it claims you’ll be able to win cool prizes for playing the game.

But is Clawee legit, though? Or is it just another scam you need to stay away from?  

I decided to try it out for myself to see if it really is possible to win a prize for playing the game.

The earning opportunity – Claw game

Now, you might be expecting that this game is just a digital version of the claw machine you usually see in arcades or malls. But in reality, what you will be doing is like playing the claw game remotely.

As you can see in the photo above, you will really be dealing with an actual claw machine game. The difference is that you will be controlling it remotely using the app.

To start playing, just log in to the game and choose the machine you want to play. The machines will be listed according to the prize you can win, and each machine will cost a certain number of coins to play. You do have to wait in line if other members are playing the same game.

When this happens, you’ll be notified when it is your turn. Then, once it’s your turn, all you have to do is press the play button to start the game. You’ll have to hold the arrow button to move the claw from one side to the other. If you want the claw to stop, you just have to release the button, then the claw will drop and attempt to grab the prize.

If the claw manages to grab the prize, it will drop it in the claim area, and all you have to do is press the claim button to receive the prize.

Now, this is what the app won’t tell you immediately. Your first game will be free because you will receive free coins (200 coins when I was testing it) that you can use to pay for your first game. But, once you’ve used up your free coins, you will have to buy coins from their store to play more claw games.

As shown in the photo above, you’ll have to spend some money to buy coins. The currency that will be indicated in the Clawee store will be the currency of the country you live in.

While it is a fun game because you can win prizes, it will cost you money to keep playing. Plus, there are other expenses you need to consider, and I will discuss them later.

Most of the prizes you can win from Clawee are various plushies, keychains, and school supplies. You won’t win any money, though, so if that’s what you are looking for, then you will be disappointed.

How do you get paid?

As mentioned earlier, all you can win from this game are a bunch of accessories (plushies and key chains mostly). You won’t earn any money.

Once you’ve won a prize, you can ask Clawee to ship it to your address. Keep in mind that the shipping is not free. You’ll have to pay for it. That’s why it would be best only to do this when you’ve won several prizes since it will be more cost-efficient, shipping-wise.

Now, as I’ve mentioned earlier, there are hidden expenses you need to consider when claiming the prizes you’ve won. Clawee is based in Tel Aviv, Israel. So, your prizes will be shipped from Israel to your country.

You see, the thing you need to consider is that the package will go through customs, and when that happens, there will sometimes be a fee to claim your package, depending on the country you live in.

So, aside from the shipping fee you will pay, you might have to deal with customs fees, which will increase the expenses to get the relatively cheap prizes you’ve won.

In my opinion, it will cost significantly less if you just bought the item in your country. That way, you won’t have to pay a shipping and potential customs fee. The prizes are also relatively generic, so you will most likely find them in your country.

How much money can you make?

As explained above, technically speaking, you won’t earn any money from this app. The prizes you can win also aren’t worth much. You can maybe buy the prizes from a store in your country for around $5 to $10 at most (that would be my best guess).

Then, you’d have to pay for Clawee shipping and potentially other fees, which can cost more than $15, depending on the country you live in. You also have to factor in the money you’ve spent to play the game because, as explained earlier, playing the game isn’t free. You’ll have to buy the coins used for playing.

Clawee does have a membership package that takes care of the shipping fee, but that will cost around $8 to $10 per month. That, in my opinion, is still not worth it, even though you will be able to save money on shipping.

Overall, I would say the earning potential of this app is simply very low. If you like the prizes it offers, you can just look for them in your local store. I’m sure you will be able to find one that is similar (or even better) for a fraction of the cost.

Can you use it on a desktop?

Clawee is a mobile-only platform, so you’ll need to use a mobile device to play it.

The app is available for download from both Android and iOS app stores. It is also very user-friendly, so you will easily get used to how it works.

You also won’t encounter any annoying pop-up ads while playing the game. While you may encounter glitches from time to time when playing the game, the overall user experience it offers is relatively positive, in my opinion.

Who can join Clawee?

Clawee is available more or less worldwide, so you can download and play the game wherever you are in the world.

To register, you first have to install the app. Then, you can choose to sign up using your Google or Facebook account. You can also just provide your own login details.

Then, once you are done with the registration process, you can log in to the app and start playing. As I’ve mentioned earlier, you’ll receive bonus coins for joining. This is the only freebie you will ever get from Clawee, and it will allow you to play one game for free.

In my opinion, Clawee is an app that is simply not worth using, even though it can be fun. You’ll end up spending a significant amount of money just to get the prizes you’ve won. It also doesn’t help that you’ll have to spend money to play the game.

The prizes you can win are also very generic and can usually be found in your local store, so you are better off just buying them instead of spending money to win them in the app.
