If you are a Facebook user and are looking for a way to earn extra cash, there’s an app called Facebook Viewpoints that claims you will be rewarded for helping improve the technology that powers apps and services you use every day.
It’s definitely an enticing offer, but I would suggest you read this Facebook Viewpoints review before you download the app so you’ll know if their claim is a scam or if it is really legit. I have personally tested the app, so I can share with you what I think about the platform.
I will also explain everything the app has to offer so you will get an honest inside look and you will know exactly what to expect from it. Then, you can decide if it is a good fit for you or not.
What is Facebook Viewpoints and what does it offer?
Facebook Viewpoints is essentially a Get-Paid-To app made by Facebook to reward its users for their opinions. It’s actually called Meta Viewpoints now since Facebook has changed its name to Meta. But for consistency purposes, I will keep referring to it as Facebook Viewpoints in this review.
As for its legitimacy, yes, it is indeed a legit app since it will really reward you for participating in the earning opportunities it offers. Here’s a short video explaining what the app does.
Now, in order to fully understand how this app works, we have to take a closer look at the earning opportunities it offers.
By doing so, you should have a clear idea of what you need to do to earn from this app. So, here’s how to earn from Facebook Viewpoints.
Option 1 – Programs
The primary way of earning rewards from Facebook Viewpoints is by participating in their programs. It’s really just what other GPT platforms call paid offers.
You will be notified if there are programs available via email or push notifications from the app. You can also just log in to the app and you will immediately see all the available programs you can work on.
These programs will usually ask you to complete a short task (paid offer) that will involve answering a survey or other research activities (I personally never tried the latter). From time to time, a program will also ask you to test out a product or even another mobile app.
To learn more about what a program will ask you to do, just press it to view the full details.
Now, this is important. Make sure to understand what each program is asking you to do and make sure you follow all the steps provided because if you miss even just one step, you will not be able to complete the program and you won’t receive the reward promised.
Every time you complete a program, you will receive a certain number of points and it will be credited to your Facebook Viewpoints account balance. Later on, I will discuss what you can do with the points you’ve earned.
Option 2 – Study program
The other way to earn from Facebook Viewpoints is through their Study Program. Actually, this opportunity will still come from the programs the app offers but I decided to separate it since it will involve the use of another app.
To participate in their Study Program, you have to be invited by Facebook Viewpoints. The invite will appear as one of their programs. When you accept it, you will be asked to download the Study from the Facebook app.
This opportunity is actually a passive form of earning. You see, when you participate in their Study Program, all you have to do is install the app on your mobile device. Then, it will just gather information in the background.
You don’t have to worry though since it will not gather any sensitive information (at least that’s what the app claims). The app only gathers data regarding the other mobile apps installed on your device.
Then, you will receive 500 points every week you are using the app until the duration of the Study Program or until you decide to opt out of it. The reward points will be credited to your Facebook Viewpoints.
How do you get paid?
As explained above, you will earn a certain number of points for every program you participate in and successfully complete. But what can you do with the points you’ve earned?
Well, once you’ve earned at 1,000 points, you can redeem a $3 reward via PayPal or Perks WW. These are the payment options offered by the app and $3 is the only denomination option you can choose.
Just keep in mind that the points you’ve earned will have an expiration date. All your points will expire 5 years from the date you last earned any points. It’s a long expiration and you probably won’t be affected by it, but I would still recommend you withdraw your earnings every time you reach the threshold.
Their payment system is relatively simple and I like the fact that they offer payment via PayPal since that’s one of the most convenient payment methods offered today, in my opinion. If you are interested in more platforms that offer a convenient payment method, I would recommend you also check out the top sites that pay via PayPal.
How much money can you make?
The amount you can earn from Facebook Viewpoints will mostly depend on how often you can complete programs. And unfortunately, you will have no control over how many programs will be made available to you.
There’s really no fixed number of points you can earn from every program. Some programs will reward you with 100 points and some will reward you with less. It will all depend on the type of program that you will be offered.
And based on my experience, there really isn’t a lot of programs available. So, even though Facebook Viewpoints has a low payout threshold, it will still take some time before you will be able to withdraw your earnings because of the limited earning opportunities available.
Unless you get invited to participate in their Study Program, you will not be able to earn rewards from this app regularly. That’s why overall, I would say the earning potential of Facebook Viewpoints is quite low since there aren’t a lot of opportunities to earn.
Can you use it on a desktop?
Facebook Viewpoints is a mobile-only platform. So, to answer the question above, no, you can’t. You will really need to use a mobile device to earn from Facebook Viewpoints.
Now, as for their app, it is available for download on both Android and iOS devices. So, it has good compatibility, in my opinion. The app is also very easy to use. You will easily get used to using it. Plus, you won’t encounter any annoying pop-up ads.
Overall, the user experience it offers is quite good, which is all you can really ask for from a mobile app, in my opinion.
Who can join Facebook Viewpoints?
Facebook Viewpoints is available in select countries.
However, they don’t really specify which countries it is available in. So, the only real way you can tell if it is available in your country is if it is available in your app store. If it isn’t, then your country is not included in the list.
As shown in the photo above, you can register as a member of their platform in two different ways. First, you can use your mobile number to sign up. If you do, the app will send a confirmation code to the number you’ve provided to complete the registration.
The other method, and the easier of the two, in my opinion, is you use your Facebook account to log in. When you do this, you just have to confirm the information linked to your Facebook account to finish the sign-up process. Once you’ve done that, you can now log in to the app and start earning.
You do have to take note that your location will matter. That’s because there will be more programs offered if you live in certain countries like the US, Canada, or the UK compared to other countries.
There will be countries where programs will be few and far between. That’s why it will mainly be profitable for people who live in tier-1 countries.
Can you get support?
If you have any questions about the app or your account, or if you encounter any issues while using the app, you can refer to their Help Center first which can be accessed using their app or from their website. It covers most of the basic topics you need to know about the app.
In case you can’t find the answers you are looking for, unfortunately, their app doesn’t have a contact form or email address you can use to get in touch with their support team. Instead, you can use the Facebook Help Center to get in touch with a support representative from Facebook.
But, in my experience, Facebook support is very hard to get through to. So, you should not necessarily expect to get much help. That’s, I would say it doesn’t offer good support since the Facebook support system is not very great, in my experience.
Facebook Viewpoints is a legit GPT app that will pay you for participating in the earning opportunities it offers. It has a couple of good features to offer, but it also has some limitations you will want to consider.
Let me wrap up this review with a summary of its pros and cons so you can get an overview of what the app has to offer. Then, you can decide if this is a good fit for you or not.
- Offers payment via PayPal
- Their app is user-friendly
- Limited earning opportunities offered
- It’s hard to get in touch with their support team
In my opinion, Facebook Viewpoints is not a great primary app to earn from. The reason why I say this is, you won’t be able to earn rewards regularly from this app since there aren’t a lot of opportunities to earn.
This makes their low payout threshold a bit useless, in my opinion, since it will still take some time before you will be able to hit it and withdraw your earnings. That’s why I would only recommend you join this app if you really need an additional app to earn from.
Just make sure to set your expectations properly because you won’t really earn a lot from this app. Now, if you are looking for better ways to earn extra cash, I would recommend you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead.
The sites and apps on this list all have good earning potential and they all offer opportunities where you can earn rewards on a regular basis. Plus, you will definitely be able to find a site you can join regardless of where you live.
