Happy Tap is a mobile app that promises you can earn money easily by playing games. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve seen apps make this claim over the years. So, I know, based on my experience, that not all apps like Happy Tap are legit and worth it.
The question now is, is Happy Tap worth it? This Happy Tap app review will show you the results of my testing of the app because I was also curious about it when I first encountered it.
Then, you’ll know exactly what to expect from it before you even install it. This is the best way to find out if Happy Tap is worth it or not.
What is Happy Tap, and what does it offer?
Happy Tap is a mobile app that will reward you for playing mobile games. But let me tell you right now that there are a few things you need to know about this app. Plus, it is only available to Android users. If you are an iOS user, then this app is not for you. The earning opportunity – Playing games
The only way to earn from Happy Tap is by playing the mobile games it features. When you log in to the app, you will immediately see all the available mobile games you can play.
The premise is relatively simple. You download the game Happy Tap features, and you play it. Then, you’ll receive coins for every minute you play the game. And I do have to say that you’ll receive a generous number of coins for playing. Later, I will discuss what this means.
While using the app, you’ll encounter several pop-up ads, which can be quite annoying to deal with, in my opinion.
Now, the longer you keep playing the game, the fewer coins you will receive. This is normal because apps like Happy Tap need to motivate you to play different games so that they can earn more.
You see, apart from the ads shown, the other way for apps like Happy Tap to earn is by getting people to download and install a game. So, the more different games you play, the more Happy Tap will earn. So, when you notice that you are earning fewer and fewer coins, it’s time to move on to the next featured game to maximize your supposed earnings.
That’s how the earning opportunity of Happy Tap works. In the next section, I will discuss how you will supposedly get paid.

How do you get paid?
As explained above, you’ll earn coins from playing the featured games. But what can you do with the coins you’ve earned, exactly? Well, supposedly, you will be able to withdraw your earnings via PayPal or redeem various gift cards depending on where you live.
I say “supposedly” because there’s a bit of an issue when you try to withdraw your earnings. You see, when it’s time to withdraw, what will happen is that Happy Tap will say that you must meet a certain requirement before you will be able to withdraw your earnings.
Most of the time, it will ask you to download and install another mobile app. But if you do this, then Happy Tap will tell you that the reward will be credited after a certain period, and a countdown will appear on the Happy Tap wallet page.
This is a huge red flag, in my opinion. Based on my experience, when an app or site does this, it usually means the app doesn’t really intend to pay you. More often than not, when the countdown ends, you’ll just encounter another stipulation you need to follow to withdraw your earnings.
You see, I’ve had bad experiences with apps and sites that always make it hard for you to withdraw your earnings. Normally, great Get-Paid-To and survey sites will just let you withdraw your earnings easily as soon as you hit the threshold.
That’s why if you need to jump through hoops just to withdraw your earnings, then don’t expect to ever get paid, based on my experience. So, I would suggest you check out the top sites that pay via PayPal instead. The sites and apps on this list will let you withdraw your earnings easily when you reach the payout threshold.
How much money can you make?
I’ve mentioned earlier that Happy Tap appears to be very generous with the rewards it hands out. So, you might think that you’ll be able to earn good money from it. But as explained above, you will have to go through a lot of trouble just to withdraw your earnings.
And personally, I dislike apps and sites like this because they never intend to pay you. They’ll just keep adding hurdles you need to clear until you give up and move on. But even if they eventually pay you, you’ll just waste a lot of time (and sometimes, even money because some apps will ask you to spend a certain amount to withdraw your earnings) trying to get what you should be able to get easily from legit apps and sites.
This is the main reason why I would not recommend you download Happy Tap. The earning potential of this app is next to zero, in my opinion.
Red flags you need to be aware of
As you can see, Happy Tap has certain red flags you need to be aware of. I will list them down so that you’ll have a good idea of what these red flags are. That way, you’ll be able to easily spot them on other apps and sites the next time around.
Red Flag #1 – Very Generous Rewards
As mentioned earlier, Happy Tap does appear to be very generous with the rewards they hand out. In fact, when I tested the app, I even received a $100 joining bonus, which really alarmed me. This, in my opinion, is not sustainable.
The app would go bankrupt in just a matter of days if it really paid you the amount you’ve supposedly earned. Based on my experience, when an app makes it look like you are earning a lot of money, there is always a catch, which leads me to the next red flag.
Red Flag #2 – Additional Requirements to Withdraw Earnings
When an app or site is very generous with the rewards they hand out, it also usually means one thing. When it’s time to withdraw, you’ll be asked to meet certain requirements before you can withdraw your earnings.
Plus, the requirements will not be revealed right away, so you’ll be blindsided when it’s time to withdraw your earnings. Then, if you can meet the requirements the app asks of you, they’ll just add another hurdle you need to clear to withdraw your earnings.
It just keeps going until you eventually get tired of trying to withdraw your earnings. This is what happened when I tested Happy Tap. Personally, I was expecting this to happen because I encountered this on a lot of apps I have tested before. So, I wasn’t surprised by it.
Red Flag #3 – Early Access Mode
Lastly, if you search for Happy Tap on Google Play, you will see that the app is set to “Early Access”, which is a bit weird because it already has more than a million downloads and it has been around for quite some time.
But the main reason why it is set to “Early Access” by the developer is that no one can leave a review about it. This is a trick that developers use to block negative feedback about an app. If users were able to post a review about Happy Tap, then I guarantee you that all you would see would be complaints that people never received their earnings.
So, every time you encounter an earning app that is set to “Early Access”, you must be immediately wary of it.
You need to look out for warning signs that usually come with an “Early Access” app, like receiving unrealistic rewards and hidden requirements to withdraw earnings – if you spot these signs, you should stay away from it.
Final Verdict
Happy Tap is an app that supposedly lets you earn by playing mobile games. But as you can see, there are actually a few red flags you need to know about this app.
I will summarize the pros and cons of Happy Tap so you can get a clear overview of what it actually offers. Then, you will be able to understand why it’s not something I would recommend you go for.
Pros:
- Offers a passive way of earning extra cash
- Payment via PayPal is available
- Available globally
Cons:
- Limited earning opportunities
- High payout threshold
- The app consumes more battery charge, so you will have to charge your device more than you're used to
- You have to install the app manually
As mentioned above, I do not recommend you download Happy Tap. You will only be wasting your time because it doesn’t intend to pay you. You are better off spending your time on apps and sites that will really pay you.
For a list of these sites and apps, I suggest you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead. The sites and apps on this list all have good earning potential, so you will be able to earn a good amount in no time.
Plus, all the options are very transparent with how you will be able to withdraw your earnings.

Get paid $1.10 to my PayPal I have about $3,800 pending or in query or on account down numbers are counting down and fairly quick it’s only been 3 days to wait from $8,000 down to 2300 but you say it won’t pay out think I’ll give it a couple of days to see if they actually pay but it had a side scratch it that you pushing you got to scratch off see if you win and it paid me $1.10 and it went to my PayPal the second they sent it but have not got anything else out of it I’ve been playing for about 3 days and have like I said about $8,000 owed to me like you said there’s no way they could pay that kind of money they’d be broken a day although you do have to watch an ad every time you do anything move change page move one move one thing that wins one thing that loses every second you touch the screen it goes to another ad but was able to reach the thresholds they gave me by had to be another 20 minutes or had to be another thousand point there had to be was able to do those thresholds easily but still waiting to see if I ever get any money not sure why it paid the dollar and 10 cents crazy
Probably paid you then $1 to make you believe it actually pays to keep you using the app. But it is a complete waste of time. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
