Hintsters Review – Should You Join? (Learn the Truth)

Hintsters claims you can earn rewards simply by answering surveys and making reviews of products and services.

It sounds simple enough, right? But is Hinster legit and a way to earn or a scam to stay away from?

I have signed up as a member myself, tested it thoroughly, and compared it to the hundreds of other free ways to make money online I have tested.

In this Hinster review, I will share all my experiences with you so you will know exactly how it works and what to expect. Then, you can see if this will be the right opportunity for you or not.

What is Hintsters, and what does it offer?

Hintsters, as mentioned above, is a survey site that will reward you for answering surveys. And yes, it is a legit site since you can earn from answering surveys and participating in the other earning opportunities the site offers.

Option 1 – Paid Surveys

One way to earn rewards from Hintsters is by answering their paid surveys. From time to time, you will be invited to participate in surveys. You will receive an email notification if surveys are available.

You can also log in to the site and just view all the available surveys (refer to the photo above). Every survey invite will show you the estimated time it will take to complete the survey, as well as the reward you will receive for completing it.

And just like any other survey on a survey site, when you answer a survey, you will first have to go through the qualifying process. So, the first questions you will answer aren’t the questions for the survey.

They are just questions to determine your eligibility for the survey. If you pass the qualification process, you get to answer the actual survey. It’s a bit time-consuming since you won’t earn anything from this, but you still have to go through this process to complete a survey. So, you have to power through it.

When you’ve completed a survey, you will receive the reward promised. It will be credited to your Hintsters account.  

Earning from surveys is relatively straightforward, and if you decide to join Hintsters after reading this review, I would suggest you answer every survey you receive because you won’t receive that many.  

Option 2 – Reviews

The other way to earn from Hintsters is by reviewing apps, TV shows, books, movies, hotels, and restaurants.

When you log in to the member dashboard of Hintsters, you just have to click the Reviews option, and you will see something similar to the photo below.

The important thing to consider here is that the amount you can earn from reviews will mostly depend on how well you’ve written your review. Ideally, you should only review products or services that you have personally tried. That’s the ethical thing to do – and you should always make sure to only use ethical ways to earn online, in my opinion.

Usually, you will be rewarded for the quality of your review and the positive feedback you receive from other members of Hintsters. So, if you want to earn more from your reviews, you have to make sure you highlight all the positive and negative things about the product or service and how it compares to others.

You can also include tips to help others to have a great experience. All of that boils down to you personally experiencing the product or service. It’s really hard to fake a review, in my opinion. That’s why I would highly suggest you only write a review if you’ve tried the product or service.

Unfortunately, Hintsters doesn’t provide any breakdown of how they reward members for the reviews they provide. So, I can’t tell you exactly how much you can earn from every review you make.

How do you get paid?

As mentioned above, for every survey or review you complete, you will earn a certain amount, which will be credited to your Hintsters account balance. You can then withdraw your earnings via PayPal once you’ve earned $25.

Unfortunately, this is the only payment option they offer. Personally, though, I don’t have a problem with them offering only one way for you to withdraw your earnings because PayPal is one of the most convenient payment gateways available today, in my opinion.

The one problem I found with Hintsters’ payment system is their high payout threshold. $25 is quite hard to reach, considering there are limited earning opportunities. So, you’ll need to be very patient with this site since you’ll have to wait a while before you can hit their threshold.

If you prefer a site that has a low payout threshold, I would suggest you check out the fastest paying sites instead.

How much money can you make?

The amount you can earn from a survey site like Hintsters will mostly depend on how many surveys you can complete. Their other earning opportunity, which is reviews, is something you can’t count on unless you plan to submit fake reviews, which is unethical.

The reason why I say their reviews can’t be counted on is that you don’t have the opportunity to try out all the products and services that are up for review all the time. If you do the ethical thing, you might be able to write a review once or twice a month at most.

That’s why the bulk of your earnings will come from the paid surveys. The amount you can usually earn from a survey will give you a maximum of $1 to $1.5, which isn’t a bad rate, but it’s also not that good either.

So, it will take quite a long time to reach their payout threshold since there aren’t a lot of surveys available, and the site doesn’t pay that well. That’s why I would say the earning potential of Hintsters is very low.

Can you use it on mobile?

Hintsters doesn’t have a mobile app you can download. But, their site is optimized for mobile use. So, you can conveniently work on the site even from a mobile device.

However, you will encounter pop-up ads quite a lot. In fact, even on a computer, the site is annoying to use because of all the pop-up ads, in my opinion.

This ruins the overall user experience and this is something you just need to be aware of.

Who can join Hintsters?

Hintsters is available more or less worldwide. This is the one good thing I can say about the site. You will be able to register as a member regardless of where you live.

To sign up as a member, you just have to fill out their registration form. Then, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Simply click the link in the email to complete your registration.

Once you’ve done that, you will receive $5 as a sign-up bonus. This is a good head start, especially since their payout threshold is quite high. So, you’ll receive a nice boost in the beginning.

Can you get support?

If you can’t find what you’re looking for on their FAQ page, you can just submit your inquiry to their support team through the contact form on their Contact Us page.

Overall, I would say the site offers a decent support system for its members since it offers a convenient way for you to communicate with its support team.

Final Verdict

Hintsters is a legit survey site that will allow you to earn by answering surveys and writing reviews for products and services. It offers a couple of good features, but it has some limitations you need to consider.

Let me wrap up this review with a summary of its pros and cons to give you an overview of what the site has to offer. Then, you can decide if you should really join this site or not.

In my opinion, Hintsters isn’t really a great survey to join. It has a high payout threshold but there aren’t a lot of ways to earn, which is a bad combination. You will have to be very patient because it will take quite some time before you will be able to reach the threshold and withdraw your earnings.
