iConsumer is a site that claims you can become a stockholder in their company simply by shopping.
It’s certainly a unique offer, but the question is, is iConsumer a scam, or is it legit?
I decided to test it to see what it offers, and I will share everything I have learned in this iConsumer review. After reading it, you will know exactly what it does and what to expect.
That way, you can make an informed decision about whether signing up for it is a good idea. So, without further ado, let’s go ahead and get this review started, shall we?
What is iConsumer, and what does it offer?
iConsumer is technically a cashback site where you’ll be able to earn by availing of the deals it offers. It is definitely a legit site since you will really receive cashback rewards from their deals.
But how does it work, exactly?
Well, the best way to find out is to examine the earning opportunities it offers. By doing so, you can get a clear picture of how to earn and whether it will be worth it. So, here’s how to earn from iConsumer.
Option 1 – Deals
The primary way to earn money is to take advantage of the deals it offers. These deals will allow you to get rebates once the purchase is completed. In short, you’ll earn a cashback reward after you purchase from one of their partner stores.

The idea is really simple. You log in to the member dashboard and immediately see all the available deals you can choose from. When I was doing my testing, there were more than 2,000 shops that offered deals, so there’s a wide array of deals you can choose from.
Each deal will tell you the percentage of the rebate you will receive. If you see a deal you are interested in, just click it, and it will open a new browser tab. You can read the full details of the deal by clicking the button labeled “Pause to read”.
If you fail to click the button after a few seconds, it will automatically redirect you to the online store that offered the deal. I highly recommend you click the button to read the full details first, so you will know exactly how you can earn the rebate promised.
Once you are ready to proceed, just click the “Go to Site Now” button, and it will take you to the online store. Then, just complete the purchase by following the steps provided on the cashback details page. Once the purchase is complete, you’ll need to wait a set period before the rebate is credited to your account.
The waiting period depends on the store you purchased from, but in my experience, it usually lasts around 60 to 90 days. This waiting period is usually called the refund period. If you return the purchased product and request a refund within the specified time, you will not receive the rebate.

Another way to avail of deals is through the iConsumer Google Chrome extension. As shown in the photo above, you can install iConsumer’s Google Chrome extension, which will recognize deals offered by stores.
If you use this extension, you don’t have to log in to the member dashboard of iConsumer to find deals. You simply go to the online store you want to shop from, and if it currently has deals for iConsumer members, the extension will recognize and apply them upon purchase.
You can consider it a faster way to avail of deals, since you don’t have to log in to the member dashboard to get them. Aside from the Chrome extension, iConsumer also has a mobile app you can use so you can avail of deals conveniently using your mobile device (I will talk about the mobile app in a later section).
Option 2 – Coupons
Technically speaking, this is not an earning opportunity because you won’t really be earning anything. Instead, you’ll essentially be saving money. But, as the saying goes, “money saved is money earned”, so you can consider this as a way to earn.

You can log in to the member dashboard and click the “Coupons” section to browse all the available coupons you can use. Most of these coupons are for free shipping, but some will give you discounts.
The process for using coupons is pretty much the same as availing of deals. You click a coupon you are interested in, then hit the “Pause to read” button to view the details. Then, when you are ready, you can go to the online store and complete the purchase, and the coupon code will be automatically applied.
The browser extension can also do this for you, so you don’t have to keep logging in to the member dashboard.
Option 3 – Referral Program
Lastly, you can earn from the site's referral program. All you have to do is invite people to join the site using your personalized invite link.

You can share your link via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or email. You can also just share your referral code. Just make sure to remind the person you invited to input the code during registration. When they register as a member using your code or link, they will become your referral.
Now, to earn from this opportunity, your referral must use the browser extension for at least 6 months. They don’t need to purchase anything for you to qualify for the rewards. Once they’ve done that, you'll earn at least 100 shares.
When your referral makes their first qualifying purchase, you’ll receive an additional 150 shares of stock plus $10 as long as they made the purchase within the first 90 days of being an iConsumer member.
It’s a decent way to earn additional rewards, but you will have to be very patient, and you need to make sure the people you invite are really interested in iConsumer. Otherwise, you won’t earn anything.

How do you get paid?
Now, here’s where iConsumer differs from most cashback sites. Normally, with other cashback sites, you can withdraw your cashback rewards via a payment gateway like PayPal or gift cards. But with iConsumer, the only thing you can do with your earnings is to convert them into shares of the company.
So, you’ll effectively become a company shareholder once you earn from it. Once you’ve earned at least $10 from the site, you can convert it to shares. The number of shares you will receive will depend on the monetary value of one share at the time of your conversion.
The value will change from time to time since that is the nature of stocks/shares, so don’t expect to receive a fixed number of shares. If you manage to reach the threshold, you can request that stock certificates for the shares you’ve earned.
This will serve as proof that you own the shares. Then, it’s up to you if you want to keep it or trade it for money.
As you can see, the payment method of iConsumer is a bit more complicated than other cashback sites. You have to be well-versed with shares and stocks if you are intent on earning from them.
If you prefer a simpler way to get paid, I recommend you check out the top sites that pay via PayPal.
How much money can you make?
The amount you can earn from iConsumer (or any cashback site, for that matter) will depend on the cashback rates offered and how often you shop from their partner stores.
As mentioned earlier, iConsumer has many partner stores, so there’s a high chance you'll find deals you're interested in. So, the main factor that will determine how much you will earn will be the site’s cashback rates.
From what I’ve observed, most of their cashback rates range from 2% to 10%, which is a decent rate, in my opinion. It’s not the most competitive rate out there, but it’s also not the worst.
That’s why I would say its earning potential is pretty decent. However, as explained above, iConsumer's payment structure isn’t as versatile as you might hope. If you are interested in owning shares of iConsumer, then, by all means, you should register as a member.
But if you are looking to earn cash, then you are better off joining other sites, in my opinion.
Can you use it on mobile?
As mentioned earlier, iConsumer has a mobile app you can use, so you can avail of deals conveniently using your mobile device. At least, that's how it was when I first tested the platform.
However, now, the app is no longer available on Google Play or the iOS App Store. So, you'll have to just make do with the web-based platform.
Fortunately, the web-based platform is optimized for mobile use, so you can still use it on your mobile phone.
Who can join iConsumer?
iConsumer is available more or less worldwide. You’ll be able to register as a member anywhere in the world. However, most of the deals being offered are for people who live in the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK.
So, if you don’t live in any of the countries mentioned above, you might not find this very useful for you.

To register as a member, you have to be at least 18 years of age. Then, you must fill out the registration form (refer to the photo above), or you can use your Facebook account to log in.
Once you’ve done that, you can log in to the site and complete your member profile. You’ll also be asked to provide your Social Security Number and Tax ID, which are required to issue your shares.
Can you get support?
If you have any questions about the site or your account, you can refer to the site’s Support page. It discusses most of the important topics you need to know about the site. They also have a knowledge base you can check out if you are unfamiliar with some terms the site uses.
If you have any questions that were not answered by their Help and knowledgebase page, you can get in touch with their support team by submitting a support ticket. You can do so by clicking the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of the website.
Overall, I would say the site has a decent support system for its members, as it offers a convenient way to communicate with the support team.
Final Verdict
iConsumer is a legit cashback site that lets you earn by using their deals and coupons. It has a couple of good features, but it also has a few disadvantages you need to know.
Let me end this review with a summary of its pros and cons to give you an overview of what the site offers. Then, you can decide whether this is a good fit for you or not.

Pros:
- Has a lot of partner stores
- Has a mobile app you can download

Cons:
- Only offers company stocks as a reward
- Long wait time to receive a reward
- Most deals are for specific countries
In my opinion, iConsumer is not a bad cashback site. But I would only recommend you join this site if you are interested in owning the company's stock. That’s because this is the only reward it offers.
Sure, you can convert the stocks to cash, but that would require additional steps that are a bit complicated, in my opinion. So, if you are mainly just interested in earning cash, then I would suggest you join other cashback sites.
Or better yet, I would recommend you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country. The sites on this list all have good earning potential, and you don’t have to spend a single dime to earn rewards.
