Option 1 – Playing Games

As mentioned, you can earn by playing the featured games of Playtime. This is the main way to earn from the app, so the bulk of your earnings will come from playing the featured games.

When you log in to the app, you will immediately see all the featured games available. Just keep in mind that the number of games available will depend on your location, so don’t be alarmed if you log in and don’t see any featured games. It just means there are currently no featured games in your country.

You’ll just have to check from time to time to see if there are games available. If there are games available, just click it, and it will take you to the game's app page. Simply install the game, and it will show up in Playtime’s list of games you’ve installed.

Now, the important thing to remember is to open the game through Playtime’s menu and not directly from your phone’s menu. That’s because it is the only way for Playtime to track how long you’ve been playing the game.

The app needs this piece of information because it will pay you per minute of playing the featured game. So, always open the game from Playtime’s menu if you want to earn the rewards.

Another thing you must remember is that the longer you keep playing a game, the smaller the reward you will earn. This is to be expected because that’s usually how this kind of app works. This system is meant to encourage users to try out different games instead of just sticking to one game.

That’s how Playtime earns – by getting people to install various games. That’s why if you want to maximize your earnings, you have to stop playing a game when you notice that the rewards you’ve earned have significantly dropped.

This is the main reason why Playtime is not something I would recommend to my friends. Its earning potential is just way too low, in my opinion.

Can you use it on a desktop?

If you can find it among the results, then that means it is available in your country. To join, you must install the app first. Then, when you open the app for the first time, you’ll receive a welcome bonus (refer to the photo below) of 3,600 coins.

What I found weird about Playtime is that it won’t really ask you to go through a sign-up process. You can immediately start playing once you open the app.

This means that your account will be limited to the device on which you installed the app. If you install Playtime on a different device, it will count as another account. And if you somehow uninstalled the app on your device, you would lose access to all your earnings, which is not a good thing, in my opinion.

This is why I always prefer an app or a website that will let you sign up; that means your account is transferable to different devices.

Can you get support?

If you have questions about the app or your account, you’ll have to contact the support team because the app doesn’t have a FAQ page or even a website you can check out. It doesn’t even have a Help or Contact page inside the app.
