The name of Quick Thoughts makes it sound very appealing at first. But since you are here, you are probably wondering if Quick Thoughts really is a quick way to make money or a scam?
Let me reveal right away that it is not a scam – that does however not mean that it is necessarily worth your time. As you can see from the headline of this review, I am not impressed with the opportunities. In this Quick Thoughts App review, I will go into all the details about why this is, and what you have to know before joining.
If you want to save time, you can also right away check out my most recommended survey sites.
What is Quick Thoughts app and what does it offer?
Quick Thoughts is an app that you can use to take paid surveys. It is a part of Survey Sampling International, which has been around since 1977. So there is an experienced and legit company behind it, which is a good sign and means that you do not have to worry about whether you will get your rewards or not.
But how good are the opportunities then on Quick Thoughts?
The app is specialized in surveys, and this is the only way you can make money here. I in general like sites that only offer surveys, as they are usually very easy to use. That also goes for Quick Thoughts. But I am not impressed by the amount of surveys and the way the app works. Here are a couple of things I find annoying about Quick Thoughts
Time consuming search:
The way you see what opportunities you have is by logging into the app. There you will see a button that says “Find a survey”. When you click that, the app will start looking for available surveys from partner sites. That is all fine, but as it is doing a new search every time, you very often have to fill out a lot of basic information about yourself before it even starts searching. That can be a bit annoying and time-consuming as it is more or less the same questions you have to answer every time.
Not optimized surveys:
You would think that all surveys that you can take through an app that is specialized in surveys would be optimized for mobile devices, right? Well, on Quick Thoughts I have found that is not the case. Some surveys I have been offered are not really meant for mobile devices and the writing is very small, and I had to zoom in and out a lot to do them. That is very annoying for a survey app, and takes up unnecessary time.
Overall, I would say that I am not impressed with the opportunities on Quick Thoughts. I really like using my phone for surveys, as it is a great way to take surveys on the go. But I have not yet found a survey app that gives really good opportunities. I find that survey websites that then maybe even also have an app are a lot better. That is why I in general prefer using survey sites that have apps, and not the pure survey apps. That does not mean Quick Thoughts will not give you any opportunities at all, and it can be worth considering. But before joining, you also have to consider if the rewards it offers are for you.
How do you get paid?
When you take a Quick Thoughts survey, you get paid in your local currency. That is nice, as it makes it easy to see exactly how much you make, compared to how it is on the survey sites or apps that use point systems.
You can however not get this money paid out in cash. That is very important to know before joining. If you want to get your earnings in cash, Quick Thoughts is not an app for you. Personally, I prefer survey sites that pay through PayPal, but other ways can also be great. It all depends on personal preferences.
Quick Thoughts pays in gift cards – or rather gift codes. That means that once you request a payout, you will receive an electronic code/gift card. What companies you can get the gift codes for depends on the country you live in. But usually there are only a couple to choose from. So before spending time taking surveys, make sure to check what the reward options are in your country, and that it is something you like.
You can request a payout once you have reached $10. Once you are a member, your rewards will never expire, so you do not have to worry about losing your earnings, if it takes you a long time to reach the payout threshold.
How much money can you make?
As you have probably already figured out, I am not impressed with the opportunities on Quick Thoughts. The rewards per survey are fine and similar to most other similar services, but there is just not enough opportunities.
It is important to mention that the amount of opportunities will vary from country to country, so it might be different for you. You can also choose to get notifications when there are new surveys available, which can be a way to be sure to take more surveys. But no matter what, you should not expect Quick Thoughts to make you very much money.
Who can join?
The Quick Thoughts app is available in many countries. It is available for download in the AppStore and Google Play.
The great thing is that it is even available in the local language and in the local currency. Not enough to make me change me mind about my overall impression of Quick Thoughts, but still something that can make it easier to use for some.
Can you get support?
If you should need any assistance when using Quick Thoughts, you can find a contact email in the app.
I have read several places online that people however think that the support is very slow and not very helpful. But from what I have seen, people usually have there issues resolved even though it might take a little long. I have not had the need to contact the support myself, so I cannot confirm if that is true.
But it is good to know that there is an option to reach out to support, if it should be necessary.
Final thoughts on Quick Thoughts
Let´s sum up the pros and cons of the Quick Thoughts app to get a better overview:
- Available in local languages
- Easy to use
- Reliable company behind it
- Not very many opportunities
- Not many reward options
- Annoying survey search function
- Surveys not always optimized for mobile devices
To sum it up: Quick Thoughts can make you a little extra money, but for me, the cons outweigh the pros heavily. I like taking surveys, but there are so many survey sites, so it does not make sense to spend too much time on apps or sites that are just average – and in my opinion Quick Thoughts is just average in the best case. More correctly I would say it is a little below average.
