Sky Miner is an app that claims you can mine crypto without investing in expensive hardware for crypto mining.
Now, the big question is, is it legit or just a scam to stay away from?
Well, that’s what we are about to find out in this Sky Miner app review. It will give you an inside look at what the app really offers, so you will know exactly what to expect from it before you even join.
And let me tell you right now; there are a couple of things you need to know about this app before you install it. So, let’s get started.
What is Sky Miner, and what does it offer?
Sky Miner is a cloud-mining app that will let you mine Bitcoin with just a push of a button. Now, to find out how well you can earn from it, you must first understand how it works. To do that, we must take a look at the earning opportunities it offers so you will have a clear idea of how much time and effort is needed to earn from it.
So, here’s how you can supposedly earn from Sky Miner.
Option 1 – Mining
The primary way to earn from Sky Miner is by mining. As mentioned, you don’t have to set up a crypto mining rig to mine Bitcoin from it. All you have to do is log in to the app, press a button, and the app will mine Bitcoin for you. This process is called Cloud Mining.

When starting, you will mine Bitcoin at a certain rate per second. You have the option to increase this rate by purchasing a mining plan from the app. However, I urge you not to do this, and later, you will know why.
After you press the mine button, the app will continue mining at the specified rate for a day. However, I do have to tell you that it will drain the battery of your device quicker because it will be running in the background.
Once it stops, you must press the button again to continue mining. That’s all there is to it. It looks like an effortless way to earn free Bitcoin. But as mentioned earlier, there is something very important you need to know about this app, which I will discuss later.
Option 2 – Referral Program
You can also earn by inviting people to use the app through its referral program. Once you become a member, you will have a referral code you can use to share with people you want to invite.

Then, when the person you invited installs the app and registers, they must input your referral code. When they do that, they will become your referral. As a reward, you will receive a commission every time your referral earns from the app. It’s not quite clear what the commission rate is, and to be honest, I didn’t bother finding out because this app is not something I would promote to my friends.

How do you get paid?
Since it is a crypto mining tool, then you will need to have a crypto wallet to withdraw the crypto you’ve mined from it. The app doesn’t have any option to convert the crypto you’ve mined into cash, so you’ll have to transfer your earnings to a 3rd party crypto wallet.
However, this is where the problem with this app starts. When you attempt to withdraw your earnings, it will ask you to buy a mining plan.

While the plans may look like a good idea because you can, in theory, earn more if you have one, the problem is that even if you have already bought one, the app will still not let you withdraw your earnings. It will just ask you to pay another fee to withdraw your earnings.
This, in my opinion, is a huge red flag. Apps or sites that will ask you to pay a fee before you can withdraw your earnings are something to be careful about, in my opinion. You see, great apps or sites will always let you withdraw your earnings for free. They may charge a small service fee, but that’s about it.
You will still receive your earnings. Plus, I always get suspicious about apps or sites that will ask you to meet a certain requirement before you can withdraw your earnings. I tend to stay away from those apps and sites.
This is why I don’t recommend using it. You will not earn any free crypto from it. And the worst scenario is that you end up losing money because you bought a mining plan. That is why if you are looking to earn free Bitcoin, I suggest you check out the best sites to earn free Bitcoin instead.
These sites will let you convert your earnings to Bitcoin and withdraw them without spending money.
Red flags you need to be aware of
As you can see, the app has a huge red flag you need to be aware of. However, when I tested the app, I also found a couple of other red flags that you should know.
I will elaborate on them so you will be familiar with these red flags and easily spot them on other apps or sites you try in the future.
Red Flag #1 – Not transparent with how to withdraw earnings
As explained above, the app will ask you to purchase a mining plan to withdraw your earnings. While this is not inherently bad, what makes this a problem is that the app doesn’t tell you right away that this is the case.
It’s like they are trying to hide this fact so people will be tempted to buy the plan just to withdraw their earnings. Then, when you do buy the plan, you’ll be faced with another condition you need to meet to continue.
You see, this is the standard operating procedure for suspicious apps. They will always add a hurdle for you to overcome to withdraw your earnings. And most of the time, people will just end up giving up on withdrawing their earnings. But in turn, they will have already lost a lot of time, or worse, a lot of money.
This is why I always stay away from apps and sites that are not transparent about how you can withdraw your earnings. There’s always something that will stop you from doing so, based on my experience.
Red Flag #2 – The site is not working
When you go to the app’s Google Play page, you can actually find a link to the app’s website. However, if you click the link, it will not load the site.
While this may not sound like a big deal, it tells a lot about the developer of the app. If they can’t be bothered to fix their website or include the right link on their app page, then you can’t expect anything good from them, in my opinion, and experience.
Every time I encounter a suspicious app, it’s always like this. If you try to get to their website, it either doesn’t load, or takes you somewhere else. One of the probable reasons why this happens is that the developer already knows that they will just be bombarded with a lot of complaints.
So, there’s no point in setting up a website from their perspective. It’s also a way to conceal their identity so that if in case somebody decides to seriously pursue them for what their app does, there’s no way to get in touch with them.
Red Flag #3 – Same complaints on the app page
Every time I check out an app, I always make it a point to read the reviews posted by other users on its app page. In this case, I read the reviews on its Google Play page.

All the bad reviews about the app are regarding how you won’t be able to withdraw your earnings. Now, if you only see a couple of them in the review section, you might chalk it up to just a bug on the app. But if you see multiple reviews talking about the same thing, then it must be true.
So, to be safe, I also took a look at the reviews about it on Trustpilot. Lo and behold, they also all complained about the same thing (not being able to withdraw earnings). This is why I was able to come to the conclusion that the app truly doesn’t let you withdraw your earnings.
Final Verdict
Sky Miner is an app that will supposedly let you mine Bitcoin for free. It doesn’t have any good features, only some red flags that you need to know.
