But that doesn’t automatically mean the app is worth using. To figure out if you should use this app, you must first understand how it works.

And the best way to do that is to take a look at the earning opportunities it offers so you can get a clear idea of how much time and effort is required of you to earn from this app. So here’s how to earn from Tapestri.

Option 1 – Run the app in the background

One way to earn from Tapestri, as mentioned above, is to just let it run in the background. Once you’ve installed the app, you just have to allow it to determine your location all the time.

Whether you’re picking up milk, taking kids to soccer, or filling up the tank, the app will be able to see your movement and understand your mobile activity throughout your day. The important thing to consider here is that the app will maintain your anonymity.

Your identity will not be revealed, so you don’t have to worry about people knowing what your daily activities are. That’s all there is to it.

The rewards you will earn will be credited directly to your Tapestri account balance.

So once you install the app and allow it to track your location, you don’t have to do anything special. You will effectively be earning passively.

For this opportunity, you will earn a reward per minute you play a featured game. However, what the app doesn’t tell you is that the longer you keep playing a specific game, the fewer rewards you will earn.

This system is designed to motivate you to try out other games quickly because that’s how the app gets paid. If you just stick to one game, the app won’t earn a lot from you.

Option 4 – Map/check-in

One unique way to earn from Tapestri is by going from one location to another. When you log in to the app, just press the Map section and you will immediately see where you are currently located.

On the map, you will also see locations that offer rewards when you check-in. Once you are in that location, just go to the Map section and check-in. Think of this opportunity as a bonus. You can’t go to a specific location just to check in because it won’t be cost-effective.

The rewards are not that high. This opportunity is suited for people who move around the city a lot, in my opinion. If that is the case, then all you have to do is open the app and check the Map section to see if you can check in to the place to claim a reward.

Option 5 – Referral/Affiliate Program

Tapestri also has a referral program you can take advantage of to earn more rewards. In case you don’t know what a referral program is, it is an opportunity to earn by inviting people to join the app/site.

All you have to do is invite people to join by sharing your link. Once they click the link and sign up as a member, they will become your referral. You will earn a small reward once they’ve done so. The reward you will receive will depend on the location of your referral.

Tapestri’s referral program has two tiers. Tier 1 will be the referrals you get, while tier 2 will be the referrals of your referral. You will both earn from your tier 1 and 2 referrals.

There’s a way to increase the rewards you will receive from this opportunity.

Tapestri also has an affiliate program that works the same way as the referral program. This pays better, but you have to apply to pay a fee to become an affiliate. Later, I will explain how you can do this.

How do you get paid?

Every time you earn from Tapestri, you will receive a certain number of Tapestri coins. Then when you earn enough coins, you can withdraw your earnings in a couple of ways.

As shown in the photo above, you can withdraw your earnings via Stripe if you want to receive cash. The amount you need to earn to withdraw your earnings will depend on your country.

In the countries they call Geo 1 and 2, which are the countries with the most earning opportunities, you will need to earn at least $65 to withdraw. It used to be only $10, and this huge increase in the payout threshold is definitely not a great move and not very user-friendly, in my opinion.

In the countries they call Geo 3, which are what by some are called third-world countries, the payout threshold is only $0.50, but in these countries, there will also be fewer earning options.

You can also choose to get paid in gift cards. The exact gift cards will depend on the country you live in.

However, you need to be aware that there is a fee if you withdraw your earnings via Stripe. The fee is $2.25+1%, so you will not receive the full amount, and you just need to be aware of this, so you will not be disappointed.

Overall, the payment system of Tapestri is relatively straightforward. I like the fact that you can withdraw your earnings in a couple of ways. However, I have recently experienced some big issues with their payment system.

I want to make it clear that I have been paid by Tapestri in the past. However, at the time of updating this review, I have not been paid for months even though they owe me $100+.

I have reached out to their support about this and they just gave me some kind of lame excuse that did not make sense, and I therefore write them again and asked further questions.

I then never heard back from them and it has now been more than a month. Therefore, I must conclude that they are not intending to pay me.

It used to be an app I liked and recommended because it was so easy, but considering they are now not paying me and not replying to my support tickets, it is now an app and platform I strongly recommend staying away from.

How much money can you make?

The amount you can earn from Tapestri will depend on how active you are as a member and how often you move around your city. You can potentially earn as much as $25 a month simply by moving around while the app is running in the background.

You can add more to your earnings by completing the other earning opportunities the app offers.

Now, as I’ve mentioned earlier, there’s a way to boost your earnings from the app. You can upgrade your membership to receive more benefits, including increased earnings.

You can pay an annual fee depending, on your location. The fee for this used to depend on your location and in Geo 1 and 2 it was $19.95, while in Geo 3, it would only cost $4.95.

Now the fee is the same for all countries, so it will cost you $19.95, no matter where you live.

Earlier, I mentioned that you can increase your earnings from their referral program. This is actually what I was talking about. You see, if you upgrade your membership, instead of receiving a one-time reward, you will receive a recurring reward every month as long as your referral stays as an active member of the app.

It’s a decent way to boost your earnings, but you have to be committed to using the app to earn back the amount you spent.

Overall, I would say the earning potential of Tapestri used to be ok as long as you are an active member, and you move around the city a lot.

However, considering I have not been paid what they currently owe me, as explained above, it is not an app I recommend as a way to earn as there seems to be no guarantee you will get paid, and if you do run into issues, you can not expect help from their support.

Can you use it on a desktop?

Seeing as the main earning opportunity of Tapestri involves moving from one location to another, then the answer to the question above is NO. You will need to use a mobile device if you want to earn from Tapestri.

But if you sign up as an affiliate, you will be able to log in to the member dashboard using a laptop or desktop and see the stats, as well as answer surveys.

Fortunately, the app will work with both Android and iOS devices, so you shouldn’t encounter any compatibility issues. As for the app, it is fairly easy to use, so you won’t have a hard time earning from it.
