Brand Institute Surveys Review (Why It Might Not Be Worth It)

Brand Institute Surveys Rating

If you are lucky to qualify for Brand Institue Surveys, they pay quite well. But there are not a lot available and it takes a lot of patience to be a member.

Brand Institute is a brand identity consultancy, but also offers a number of other services like, for example, market research, and therefore they offer paid surveys that you can participate in.

But are Brand Institute surveys legit and worth participating, or are they scams?

I have been a member of the panel for years – but I will also be honest with you and say that I have not used it much due to the lack of opportunities.

This does not mean it might not be worth it for you, but you need to know what you can expect.

This Brand Institute Surveys review will give you all the details so you can easily find out if it is a panel you want to join or not.

What is Brand Institute Surveys, and what does it offer?

As mentioned above, Brand Institute is not only a survey site, but in this review, I will focus on the survey aspect, as that is what PaidFromSurveys.com, in general, is about.

But for background purposes and for seeing who is behind the surveys, you might find it useful to first know a bit more about Brand Institute in general.

It is a brand agency that helps companies develop aspects like their name, design, strategy, and market research. As a part of their market research, they offer different surveys that you, as a consumer, can participate in.

So, let's go over the options you can find as a member of Brand Institute's survey panel.

Option 1 – Paid surveys

The only way you can earn on the Brand Institute Survey Panel is by taking surveys.

They work a lot with pharmaceutical companies and medical research, and some people, therefore, think that the surveys are only for people working as doctors, nurses, or in other health-related fields.

That is, however, not the case. There are also surveys about various topics other than medicine or health, but doctors or people working in similar fields will get paid more to participate in certain surveys.

But the main thing they offer is medical surveys, and you should generally not expect to find many survey opportunities there.

I have been a member for several years, but mostly when I check the site, there are no surveys available. The overall design of the site has not been updated for all the time I have checked it, and it is honestly a bit outdated, in my opinion.

You are supposed to just get survey invitations, and in the beginning, I also sometimes received some.

But I have actually never managed to qualify for any – mostly because they have been specific medical surveys. Also, the amount of surveys is not very high.

So you might be able to get a survey here and there, but it is not a site that gives you many options. So if you are looking for daily survey opportunities, you should instead check out the best survey sites here.

Option 2 – VIP membership

After you log in, you can see Brand Institute offers a VIP membership for the survey panel.

brand institute surveys vip membership
You can apply to become a VIP member.

You have to be a member for 6 months before you can sign up for the  VIP membership.

As a regular membership, it is free to sign up for. You will, however, not automatically be accepted.

You will have to fill out an application and give some information about why you wish to become a VIP member.

The supposed advantage of this membership is that you will then be able to participate in what is called open surveys. That means you should be offered more surveys. These will not be sent as email invitations, but you can find them on the website itself.

I am actually a VIP member and was accepted after filling out the application. I had not really gotten anything out of being a member by then, but I thought maybe the VIP membership would give me some more options.

brand institute surveys vip membership acceptance
I became a VIP member – but it honestly did not give me any advantages.

How many extra surveys that will be available with a VIP membership is hard to say.

Like with other surveys on Brand Institute, I have not been able to qualify for any, and can therefore not give any definite answers. But I have not been offered any surveys for many months now.

The whole website seems like it is not kept up-to-date, and it is quite easy to find any in-depth info on the site and hard to find your way around.

VIP membership, for example, also used to include the option of earning a commission by inviting other people to join the site. However, that stopped at the beginning of 2017.

However, as you can see in the image above, they still mention in the VIP welcome that you can join the referral program.

There also still is an option to send invitations to other people, but it will not be something you will earn by doing.

So, overall, I am not impressed with the VIP membership, the overall usability, or the options for the Brand Institute Survey panel.

How do you get paid?

When you participate in surveys on Brand Institute, you will earn dollars.

When you sign up, you have to choose whether you want to be paid through check or through PayPal.

Brand institute payment methods
You can get paid through PayPal or check

This cannot be changed later for some reason I do not quite understand, but that is how it is. So make sure to make the right choice for you from the beginning.

For regular surveys, you will usually be paid between $2-5 dollars per survey. For surveys regarding medical research, you can earn $5-$10 per survey.

As a medical professional, you will earn more for the surveys related to that field and can make $10-$20 per survey. Generally, these rewards are high for a survey site – especially if you are a medical professional.

But with the limited opportunities on Brand Instuítute, you should still not expect much, in my opinion.

Also, there is no information on the site about the payout threshold. There is no FAQ section at all where you can get answers to the questions you might have, which is very strange.

So you will not know exactly when you might be able to get paid. I prefer fast paying survey sites, but I have no idea how fast Brand Institute pays as they do not say anything about this on their website.

How much money can you make on Brand Institute surveys?

This is a very difficult question to answer. The site gives pretty high rewards for surveys compared to many other survey sites. But you will also not be able to take many.

How many will depend on where you live as well as several other things like your age, your health condition, your interests, your profession, etc.

You might be offered somewhere between 1-4 surveys per month – however, personally, that was how it started for me, but I have now not received any survey invitations for more than a year.

Also, be aware that you will NOT qualify for all of these even though you get an invitation for them. I have not been able to qualify for any, even though I have tried several before giving up on the platform.

That can be very frustrating, and even though you can sign up from anywhere in the world, it seems like it can be very difficult to qualify for surveys in many countries. If you are a member, please let me know in a comment below how it is in your country, as it would be great to get some more information about this.

Luckily, you will fairly quickly find out whether you can do the survey or not. Once you click the link in the email invitation, you will be taken to the survey. You have to fill out some initial questions that can take a couple of minutes, and then you will find out whether you qualify or not.

As you can guess from the above, participating in surveys at Brand Institute will not make you rich. But like with any other survey site, it can be your chance to give your feedback and get paid while doing it.

And in regards to the health-related surveys, you can take, it can be a part of gathering new information about certain diseases for the companies that Brand Institute works with.

Whether you see this as a positive or negative thing is up to you to decide.

Can you use it on mobile?

mobile with brand institute surveys website

Being able to use survey sites on your mobile or tablet is quite important, in my opinion.

This makes it possible to easily get access to the surveys and take them whenever it fits into your schedule and whenever you have a few minutes to spare.

In theory, you can take Brand Institute surveys on mobile. However, it does not have an app, and the website is not optimized for mobile.

Overall, the usability of the website is not good, and it becomes even worse on smaller screens. So yes, you can use Brand Institute on mobile, but it does not give a good experience.

Who can join Brand Institute Surveys?

You can sign up no matter where in the world you live as long as you are 18 years old. But even though you can sign up from anywhere, it seems like it can be very difficult to actually qualify for surveys in many countries.

Brand institute surveys language
The languages Brand Institute surveys are available in.

Brand Institute is not necessarily available in your local language, but you can choose which of the available languages you want to participate in surveys in.

The available languages are English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, and Japanese.

Final verdict – legit or scam?

Brand Insitute is a legit survey panel as it has a legit company behind it and offers legit payout methods.

This does, however, not mean it will be worth it. In my opinion, it will for many people not be worth it.

But to give you a better overview to help you decide for yourself, let's finish this review by summing up the pros and cons.

pros

Pros:

  • Free to join
  • Fairly high rewards
cons

Cons:

  • Few surveys available
  • Difficult to qualify for surveys
  • Not a very user-friendly platform
  • They do not reveal the payout threshold

The big advantage of signing up for Brand Institute is that the rewards are, in general, higher than many other survey sites. That is, in theory, however.

Because you will likely not get invited to many surveys, and it is difficult to qualify for the ones that are there. So, higher rewards do not help much. This can, however, vary depending on where you live.

No matter what, the platform is, however, not very user-friendly. It is confusing to use, and there is not an FAQ section or another place where you can get some basic info that is usually easy to find on other paid survey sites.

Therefore, it is not really a survey site I recommend. If you like taking paid surveys and would like to earn some extra cash that way, there are so many great sites with daily opportunities you can join instead.

You can, for example, check out the best survey sites in your country here.

If you have any comments, questions, or experiences with Brand Institute surveys, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.

  1. Hi there
thanks for sharing your review on Brand institute surveys. There are so many people looking for ways to make extra money online from home and surveys always seem like the quickest way to do that.
As easy as it is to join survey sites, as easy as it sounds to earn money one soon realizes it`s not the easiest money, surveys are few and if like me you live in the wrong part of the world, they are even less.I have tried surveys before, since I live in Switzerland, within the first week, I had to accept I could make more money doing any low paid job than taking surveys, the very few I qualified for paid between $1-$2 for a 20 minute or more survey.
Reading your review, I’m surprised that brand institute pays so much for a survey if you are a medical professional,$20 a survey is some serious money but again, in today`s busy world, I don’t see a busy doctor settling down to do a survey for money.Sure there are better ways to extra earn income online.
Most surveys as already mentioned in my opinion pay about $1 for 20 minutes, how long do Brand institute surveys last?
    Really enjoyed your review

    • Thanks for your comment Roamy. I agree with you that it is not a way to make a living online, but many people are also not looking for that, but would be happy to make a bit of extra money, which I know surveys can be great for.

I mention it in many of my articles, that one of the important aspects of getting success with surveys is to manage the expectations. If you expect it can make you rich, you will be disappointed and give up quickly. But if you find the right sites, it can give some nice extra pocket money. And as I also mention in this article, there can be other reasons to participate in surveys than just money. It can be a way to give your feedback on certain important topics or give feedback to companies, and this way be a great way to have your opinion heard, if you are interested in that.

Also compared to many other online jobs, everybody can do it, without any investment and without any training. But if it is to make a full time income, then it is better to look at other options.

I have to disagree that there are not many surveys available. I do not know about Switzerland, but I am from Scandinavia, and here I have access to many international sites that offer daily surveys. And many countries also have local sites that can be quite good. For me there is for example a site as M3 Panel which is a great site for people in this part of the world. But there are unfortunately also some sites that are not good, and it can therefore be necessary to test out different ones to find the ones that are working for you.

Only getting $1 for 20 minutes is definitely not good, and I also do not use sites too much that only offers this little. In my experience, it is quite often you can get $1-$2 for 5-10 minutes. Brand Institute Surveys can take everything from 10-30 minutes, but I have not qualified to enough surveys at Brand Institute to give a more precise average of how long it usually takes.

Thanks again for your comment and for sharing your thoughts.

  2. Hi Mikael

My experience with answering surveys online is pretty much as you describe. I will however take a look at the Brand Institute. I signed up for lots of company, but it has not been very lucrative.

    • Yes the Brand Institute looks like a good option. As I write, it does however unfortunately not give that many surveys in the country where I live. But hope it is better where you live. And feel free to let me know how it goes, as I would love to hear about the number of surveys they offer in other countries.

I have however had a lot of success with several other paid survey sites. Not in the way that it made me any near to a full time income, but it has given me some nice extra money.
