It sounds like a great app to use. However, over the years, I have tested many similar apps, so I know that not all of them are worth it or even legit.

The app doesn’t have a breakdown of how many points you will receive by scanning receipts, but what you need to remember is that you’ll receive more points the more items you buy. However, I do have to say that you won’t receive a lot of points from this opportunity, which is not surprising.

After every game, you’ll be asked to watch a video ad before you can claim your prize. These ads usually last around 30 seconds, so you have to wait a while, which can be quite annoying, in my opinion.

As shown in the photo above, you can only earn a set number of points from each game (usually around 50 to 250 points). Now, I’m not quite sure if this is just a daily limit or if this is all you can earn from the game, but from what I can see it is the daily limit you can earn from each game.

This is one of the problems I encountered when testing the app. It doesn’t clearly explain the rules of the earning opportunities it offers. So, you must do a little bit of guesswork in the beginning.

How do you get paid?

As explained above, you’ll earn points from the earning opportunities PaidReceipt offers. But what can you do with the points you’ve earned? Well, you can use them to redeem various rewards.

You have the option to convert your points to cash via PayPal, or you can use them to redeem various gift cards from Amazon, Starbucks, Target, and more. You’ll need to earn at least 100,000 points to do so, which is actually quite a high threshold, in my opinion. Take note that 100,000 points are only worth $20.

Overall, the payment system of PaidReceipt is relatively straightforward. I like the fact that it offers payment via PayPal since it is one of the most convenient payment methods available today. However, it has a very high payout threshold, so it will take a long time before you will be able to redeem any reward.

How much money can you make?

The amount you can earn from PaidReceipt won’t be a lot. As I mentioned earlier, this app doesn’t pay as well as the other receipt-scanning apps I have tested.

Even though it offers additional opportunities to earn, you still won’t be able to earn a lot from them. So, it will take a lot of time to reach their high payout threshold to withdraw your earnings.

That’s why I would say that the earning potential of PaidReceipt is very low. You will have to invest a lot of time just to be able to withdraw your earnings.

Can you use it on a desktop?

PaidReceipt is a mobile-only platform, so you will need to use a mobile device to earn from it. However, the app is only available to Android users. So, if you are an iOS user, then this app is not for you. I suggest you check out the best money-making apps for iOS instead.

One thing you need to know is that when you log in to the app, it calls itself ReceiptPay, which is different from the name displayed on the Android app page. It’s a bit confusing at the start because it is using a different name.

Plus, as mentioned earlier, it is quite spammy. In fact, every time you log in to the app, you must watch a video ad first, which is very annoying, in my opinion. That’s why I would say the user experience it offers is quite bad. You’ll have to deal with a lot of pop-up video ads while using it.

The app is not quite clear on which countries it is available in. But as far as I can tell, it is available in most countries. So, you shouldn’t encounter any issues while signing up.

The only problem is that you actually won’t go through any registration process like you normally would with other online rewards apps. After you install the app, it will automatically register you without asking for any login details.

The problem with this system is that your account will only be limited to the device the app is installed on. You can’t use the same account on a different mobile device. Plus, if you somehow uninstalled the app, you would lose all your earnings. So, it’s not a very stable system, in my opinion.
