Are you looking for a way to earn extra cash using your mobile device?
Then maybe you have heard of the app called CashCamel that promises to pay you simply for answering surveys. It sounds like a pretty easy way to earn, right?
But is Cash Camel legit and really a way to earn or a scam to stay away from?
This is a crucial piece of information to know before you sign up because you wouldn’t want to waste your time on a scam app that will not pay you.
This CashCamel review will examine whether the app is really legit or not, and it will show you whether the app is worth using by revealing everything the app has to offer. That way, you can decide if you should use it or not.
What is CashCamel and what does it offer?
Let’s get down to business. First, let me just say that CashCamel is indeed a legit survey app that will pay you for completing surveys.
It’s a relatively new survey app compared to many of its competitors, and it offers a very simple way for you to earn.
It is owned by CrowdNautics, which is a market research company that does consumer research through paid surveys.
Now, to clearly understand how well you can earn from this app and if it will be worth it, we have to take a closer look at how the earning opportunity it offers works.
I have, therefore, made a video that gives you an inside look and shows exactly how you can earn from CashCamel. You can also read all the details below the video.

Option 1 – Paid surveys
CashCamel mainly offers one way for you to earn, and that is through paid surveys. When you log in to the app, you will immediately see all the available surveys you can answer.
They say on their app page that they use artificial intelligence to pre-qualify you for surveys so you can earn more money. But whether that’s true or not remains to be seen.
The way their surveys work is that when you answer a survey, you will still have to go through a qualification process. If you qualify, you get to proceed to the actual survey.
If you don’t qualify, the process stops there, and you simply move on to the next survey available. So, the pre-qualifying process they mentioned is actually just like what most other survey apps and sites do.
Survey sites/apps do a pre-qualifying process based on the profile information you provided to determine which surveys to send your way. This doesn’t necessarily mean you will earn from every survey you receive.
You still have to, as explained above, go through the actual qualification questions to determine if you are included in the demographic the survey is intended for.
So, in my opinion, the claim that they “use artificial intelligence to pre-qualify you for surveys so you can earn more money” is only partly correct and is also a bit misleading.
There is no guarantee you will earn from every survey you receive since they will not reward you for surveys you don’t qualify for. There are some survey sites/apps that offer that kind of compensation, but CashCamel is not one of them.
Option 2 – Location dependent opportunities
You can choose to turn on location sharing on your device after joining Cash Camel. This is optional but can give you extra ways to earn.
It has a feature where, if you are near one of their partner brands' stores (e.g. Safeway, Target, Walgreens, etc.), you'll receive push notifications in-app and get paid $0.05 for every view.
It is not much, but it is easy and fast to do. So if you do not mind sharing your location, this can be a way to earn extra.

How do you get paid?
Once you complete a survey, you will earn the amount that was promised, and it will be credited to your CashCamel account.
You can then request payment via PayPal when you reach the payout threshold (refer to the photo below).
As you can see in the photo, you will need to earn $10 before you can withdraw your earnings via PayPal. They do say that you will receive your payment within 48 hours of your request, which, in my opinion, is a pretty short wait time.
I like how simple their payment system is and that they offer a convenient payment method (PayPal). But I do wish they also offered other payment options just for the sake of versatility.
Now, if you are interested in other sites that pay via PayPal, I recommend you also check out the top sites that pay via PayPal.
How much money can you make?
The thing with CashCamel is that there are not a lot of ways to earn. So, you will be at the mercy of the availability of their surveys. So, the amount of money you can earn from it will depend on how often you can complete surveys and how much money they pay per survey.
As explained earlier, there’s no guarantee you will earn for every survey you receive. And believe me, when I say this, you won’t always qualify for surveys. So, you will need to be a bit patient with this app.
As for how much you can earn, you will typically earn around $0.2 to $0.5 per survey you complete, which is not bad, but it’s not that good, either. Sometimes, you will get surveys that are worth more, but these typically take longer to complete, and they aren’t very common.
That’s why, overall, I would say the earning potential of CashCamel isn’t that good. The lack of earning opportunities offered is really what hurt their earning potential.
Typically, in my experience, survey sites and apps usually offer other ways to earn, like a referral program, which can be a good supplement to what you can earn from answering surveys. The problem is, CashCamel doesn’t have a referral program.
Can you use it on a desktop?
CashCamel is a mobile-only platform. That means you can only use it on a mobile device. You can’t answer surveys from a desktop.
While that is certainly not a problem, in my opinion, if you prefer to answer surveys from your laptop or desktop, then CashCamel is not for you.
The good thing about their app is that it is very user-friendly. You will easily get used to navigating the app. It’s not surprising, really, since the app only offers one thing, which makes the user experience a lot more straightforward.
The app is also compatible with both Android and iOS devices. So, there shouldn’t be a compatibility issue unless, of course, if you are using a Windows mobile device.
Who can join CashCamel?
CashCamel does not have a website where you can view all the necessary information. However, Crownautic's website is all about Cash Camel, so you can find some info there.
But there is not a lot of info. You can, for example, not find information about who can join it and whether it has an age requirement is not readily accessible.
So it could seem, CashCamel is available globally, but I know after having done some research and talked to some people in different countries that it definitely is not available in all countries.
But exactly which countries it is available in is, unfortunately, not something they have an exact list of.
The best way to figure out if it is available in your region is, therefore, to check if you can download it from your app store. Simply search for the app, and if it doesn’t appear, then that means it’s not available in your country.
As for the age requirement, since they use PayPal as their payment method, then it follows that you should be at least 18 years old to register as a member. To sign up as a member, you have to download and install the app on your device first.
Go through the registration process, and once you are done, you will have to answer a set of profiling questions. The information you provide during this process will be used by the app to pre-qualify you for surveys. So, make sure you answer the questions as honestly as you can.
Can you get support?
Since they don’t have a website, then they don’t have a FAQ page you can refer to if you have any questions about the app or your account.
The app itself also doesn’t have a support page you can refer to. So, I would say they don’t really offer decent support for their members.
I had to dig a bit deeper to find out how you can get in touch with their support team. If you have any inquiries or assistance, you can email them at hello@crowdnautics.com.
Final Verdict
CashCamel is a survey app that will allow you to earn extra cash by simply answering surveys. It has a couple of good features, but it also has specific limitations you need to be aware of.
So, let me end this review with a summary of its pros and cons to give you an overview of what the app offers. That way, you can decide if it is really worth using or not.
Pros:
- Offers a very simple and easy way to earn
- Offers payment via PayPal
- Relatively low payout threshold
Cons:
- Limited earning opportunities offered
- Low rewards
- Doesn’t offer support
- They do not clearly state which countries the app is available in
In my opinion, CashCamel is not for everyone. If it is available in your country, it can be a decent secondary app to earn from. Just don’t expect to earn a lot from it since it has limited earning opportunities.
Even though it has a relatively low payout threshold, it can still take quite a while before you can request payment because of the lack of opportunities to earn. I would only recommend you use this app if you really need another survey app to earn from.
Now, if you are looking for better ways to earn extra cash, I suggest you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead. The sites on this list all have good earning potential and offer decent support for their members.
Plus, you will also find a site you can join regardless of where you live.
