2023 Available Paid Clinical Research Studies (Up to $850)

paid clinical research studies header

Participating in research studies either online or in-person can help science and yourself.

And you can potentially also earn some good extra money at the same time.

But it can be difficult to find relevant research studies to participate in.

I have, therefore, put together a list of available paid clinical research studies as well as other studies so you can easily see if there are any relevant to YOU.

Why participate in research studies?

As you might know, a research study is a scientific way to improve or develop new methods – often within health care.

If we are talking about medical studies, they are designed to answer specific questions on how to prevent, diagnose, or treat diseases and disorders.

Research studies can also be about different topics.

No matter what the topic is, research studies are important because they contribute to new knowledge. Within clinical studies, many ways of treating diseases and disorders would not have been discovered if people had not been willing to participate in studies.

So if there is a specific topic you are very interested in or if you have a certain disorder, it can help develop science in this area.

This can both help yourself immediately, and it can also help science and people in the future. This all depends on the exact studies you participate in.

But overall, it can have great benefits for both you and others – in addition to this, some studies even also offer to pay you a nice compensation but more about that later.

What kind of studies can you participate in?

There are many types of research studies you can participate in.

For example, clinical trials where you test new medicines or devices. Other studies use interviews or surveys to understand health or behavior.

Some studies are purely online, so you do not even have to commute to participate.

Often you have to live up to certain criteria to participate in studies – if you are participating in a study about diabetes, you can, of course, only participate if you actually have diabetes.

But there is also research that is more broad – it can, for example, be studies for dog owners and similar. These are not seen as clinical studies, but it is to show you that there are all kinds of studies you can participate in.

And on the list later in this article, I will show you different types, so you have a good chance of finding some that are relevant to you.

Most of the studies are for the US, but there are also several options for many other countries – this list will make it easy to find the ones in your country.

How much do clinical research studies pay?

Helping with research to keep moving science forward and by giving feedback so companies can improve has benefits on its own.

But by participating in research studies, you will often also get compensation – sometimes quite a lot, depending on the study.

Normally paid surveys or smaller studies will usually not pay a lot but will also not take much effort. But it can still give some nice extra cash.

If you participate in bigger clinical trials, you can often actually earn quite good money.

It all depends on the specific study and on how much you have to do. But there are studies that give over $800 for participation.

Most give less, and in general, I think that when it comes to clinical studies, it should not only be because of the money.

The money is a nice extra aspect and definitely worth considering, but if it is because you also wish to help with that specific study, it will make more sense.

Going around signing up for different studies is not a way for you to be able to make a living, so that should not be the goal. But if you want to participate, the money is definitely nice to get as well for the studies that offer this.

Available research studies (Updated December 2022)

When it comes to research studies, they are often temporary and project-based. So there will often be new ones available, and projects close all the time.

The list below will, however, regularly be updated. So in case there are no studies relevant for you at the moment, try again in a few weeks. So make sure to bookmark this page.
