Is Survey Roundtable Legit or a Scam? (Full Review)

Survey Roundtable Rating

Survey Roundtable will reward you for completing surveys. But, it’s not without its disadvantages. The payout threshold is fairly low but there are not that many surveys, and you need an invitation to join.

Survey Roundtable is a survey site that promises to reward you for taking surveys.

But is Survey Roundtable legit and really one of the great paid survey sites, or is it a scam?

It's a fair question to ask, so let me just answer it right away. Yes, Survey Roundtable is legit. It is a survey site that does what it promises to do.

But this doesn't automatically mean you should join their panel. You have to first determine whether it is really worth your time and effort.

This Survey Roundtable review will reveal all the details you need to know about the site so you can decide for yourself whether it is a good fit. So, let's go ahead and take a closer look at what it offers.

What is Survey Roundtable, and what does it offer?

As already explained, SurveyRoundtable.com is a survey site that will reward you for completing their surveys. It has existed since 2013, and according to its numbers, members have completed around 5 million surveys since they launched.

To fully understand what this survey site is all about, we need to closely examine how you can earn rewards. So, here's the earning opportunity of Survey Roundtable.

The earning opportunity – Paid surveys

The only way for you to earn rewards from Survey Roundtable is by completing their paid surveys.

The process is what you would expect from a survey site. Once you finish the registration process, you can log in to their member dashboard and view all the available surveys you can take.

You will earn rewards by completing paid surveys.

Once you click on a survey, you will then have to answer a few pre-qualifying questions to determine if you are indeed included in the demographic the survey is targeting.

If you qualify for the survey, you will then proceed to the actual survey. Once you complete the survey, you will then receive the reward.

However, if you don't qualify for the survey, you will still receive a small compensation, which, in my opinion, is a good sign. That means you didn't waste your time answering those pre-qualifying questions.

There are not many sites that offer a disqualification bonus, so it is always a plus when you find a site that does, in my opinion.

This also means you will be much more efficient with your time because you can simply move on to the next available survey. Another thing to take note of is that you will also receive an email informing you when there is an available survey you can take.

This is also a good thing because you don't necessarily have to keep logging in to their site just to check if there are available surveys. And one more thing, to make sure you keep receiving survey invites, you need to make sure you take all the personality surveys available.

These surveys will help build your profile so that Survey Roundtable can match you with more paid surveys in the future. In fact, the very first thing you need to do when joining is to answer the personality survey before you start receiving invites for the paid surveys.

How do you get paid?

Now that you know how you can earn rewards from Survey Roundtable, the next thing you need to figure out is how you get paid.

When I first tested Survey Roundtable, it did not offer to pay you in cash. Fortunately, they have changed this and now, one of the payout options you have is PayPal.

Survey Roundtable also offers more than 150 gift cards you can choose from.

Some of the gift cards you can redeem.

They use a point system for their rewards. Once you complete a paid survey, you earn a specific number of points. Once you reach a specific number of points (10,000 points, to be specific), you can redeem.

To put it into perspective, 10,000 points is equivalent to $10. So, in retrospect, it is a relatively low payment threshold. As shown in the photo above, you can use the gift card or virtual debit card for purchases you make from Amazon, Banana Republic, and a lot more.

If you are interested in survey panels that will allow you to earn real money and withdraw it quite conveniently, I suggest you check out the top survey sites that pay via PayPal.

How much money can you make?

As you already know, to be able to redeem rewards, you have to first reach the 10,000-point threshold.

survey roundtable earning potential
Survey Roundtable has a relatively low payment threshold.

Now, as you can see in the photo above, you will be able to reach that threshold rather quickly, provided you receive survey invites frequently.

The average number of points you will receive per survey completed is 1,000 points (which is equivalent to $1). This, in my opinion, is a pretty decent average. This allows you to reach the threshold rather quickly, considering you will get a bonus of 1,000 points just for registering. The bonus used to be 3,000 points, but, unfortunately, they have lowered it, but it's still nice to get a small bonus.

Of course, you have to consider the fact that you will not always qualify for every survey available to you. The good news is that you will still receive around 100 points if you don't. So, that will still be a good addition to your total point balance.

Overall, the earning potential of Survey Roundtable isn't that great, though. But it can be a nice supplement to other survey sites, especially since you can redeem rewards quite quickly.

Can you use it on mobile?

survey roundtable mobile site

There is no Survey Roundtable app you can download on your mobile device, so you can answer surveys even when not in front of the computer.

However, you will be able to access their site using a mobile web browser. Plus, the mobile version of their site is also optimized for mobile use.

That means you will be able to see all the content properly without having to scroll left and right or zoom in and out.

So, if you are out of the house and you receive a survey invite, you can still answer it pretty quickly just by logging in to their website using your mobile device. Just make sure your mobile device has a good internet connection.

This, at least, makes you earn points in an efficient manner. This can also be crucial because, most of the time, paid surveys have a maximum number of respondents before they cut it off.

If you are able to submit your answers quickly because you were able to answer the survey as soon as you receive the invite, then there's a good chance you will be able to earn the reward.

Who can join Survey Roundtable?

Survey Roundtable used to not make it clear on the website which countries you could join from. Luckily, they have made this very clear now.

The countries you can join from.

At the top of the website, you can clearly see the countries where it is available, as you can see in the image above. Up to this point, Survey Roundtable seems like a pretty straightforward survey site.

But when it comes to actually joining, it becomes a bit more complicated. You used to be able to just go to the website and sign up. But as of updating this review, you can no longer sign up directly on the website.

You need an invitation to join.

You can only join if you find an invitation for Survey Roundtable on a different website. All they say is that they post invitations on various websites, but they do not say which websites, so it is a bit random if you find one or not.

That makes it a bit of a hassle to join, in my opinion. Most of the top survey sites will just allow you to go directly to their website and sign up easily.

Can you get support?

Another important factor to consider when deciding if a site is of value or not is whether it provides ample ways to get support in case you encounter any issues.

You can use the contact form to send your question to the support team.

With Survey Roundtable, you will be able to do that, which is good. Not only do they provide a way for you to contact their support team (shown in the photo above), but they also provide an FAQ section, which is pretty comprehensive.

You can use the FAQ section if you have any questions about the site. If ever you have any questions that won't be answered by this section, you can then use the contact form provided, which can be accessed by clicking the Contact Us link on their website.

They also have a Facebook page you can visit and send messages to if you have any questions. They do post quite regularly there, so you can also try to write them there. Overall, they do have a pretty decent support system for their members.

Final Verdict

Survey Roundtable is a legit survey site that rewards you for completing their surveys. It does have its disadvantages, though.

So, let's finish this review with a summary of its pros and cons to better help you evaluate if this survey site is a good fit for you or not.

pros

Pros:

  • Relatively high rewards per survey completed
  • Relatively low payment threshold
cons

Cons:

  • Not many earning opportunities
  • You need an invitation to join
  • Some information about the site is not presented properly

As you can see, the main drawback to Survey Roundtable is the fact that you won't be able to just go and join on the website.

If you manage to join, it has a pretty decent earning potential. You just have to be patient to reach the payment threshold because you won't always qualify for every invitation you get.
