Cheelee App Review: Legit or Scam? (Pros & Cons Revealed)

Cheelee Rating

I don’t recommend you download Cheelee because you will only be wasting your time and potentially your money. It is very hard to earn from it even though you must spend money to keep earning.

Cheelee is a mobile app that claims you can earn rewards by watching short videos. I have encountered many apps like this over the years, so I know that not all are legit.

So, is it legit or just another scam to stay away from?

That’s what you will find out in this Cheelee app review. It will reveal the pros and cons of the app so you will know exactly what to expect before you even install it.

That way, you can determine if it is an app worth using or not. So, let’s go ahead and take a closer look at Cheelee, shall we?

What is Cheelee, and what does it offer?

Cheelee, as mentioned above, is a mobile app that will let you earn rewards by watching videos. There are a few things you need to know about it before you decide if you should install it.

And the best way to figure out if you should install it is to understand how it works. The only way to do that is to take a look at the earning opportunities it offers. That way, you’ll have a good idea of how well you can earn and how much time you must invest in it.

So, here’s how to earn from Cheelee.

Option 1 – Watching Videos

The main way to earn rewards from Cheelee is by watching videos. You must log in to the app to do this. Once you are inside the app, you will immediately be taken to the Watch section, where you can start watching reels (short videos).

These videos are from other members of the app. However, before you can earn from watching videos, you must equip a Cheelee glasses (go to the Glasses section of the app and press the Equip button at the bottom of the glasses). This is an NFT that the app makes to allow users to earn from watching videos. You can equip as many Cheelee glasses as you want.

cheelee glasses
You must use their NFT glasses to earn from watching videos.

Now, each pair of glasses has a rarity type and the rarer the glasses, the more you will earn. When starting, you will be given a Cheelee glasses that is worth $5. You can use this to start earning by watching videos. Now, one more thing you need to know is that you can set the earning strategy for each pair of glasses you have.

There are three strategies to choose from – Stability, Mix, and Lucky.

The Stability strategy will let you earn regularly but in small amounts. The Lucky strategy will let you earn up to three times the normal reward but less frequently.

The Mix strategy, which is the default setting, combines Stability and Lucky. Glasses also have durability, and when they hit 0 durability, you will not be able to use them anymore. You must buy a new one from the app’s marketplace.

The cheapest one I found while testing the app was around $6. Some glasses cost more than $200 and they are the rarest type. They also yield the most rewards.

As you can see, if you want to keep earning from Cheelee, you must spend money. The free glasses will only let you earn a small amount. Think of it as a free taste of what you can get out of the app.

The problem with this system is that there’s a high chance that you will end up losing money instead of earning because you will not earn from every video/reel you watch. It seems like there’s an element of chance for this earning opportunity.

When I tested the app, I earned a reward for the first video I watched. Then, the next time I was able to earn was after watching more than 20 videos. Plus, I lost 15% of the durability of my glasses when I earned three rewards.

Aside from that, you also have to factor in your “watch time”. Depending on the glasses you equip, you’ll have a set “watch time”. If you consume your watch time, you have to let it regenerate. So, you basically can’t watch videos all day.

Cheelee promises you can earn back what you spent on your Cheelee glasses, but based on what I experienced while testing them, there’s a high chance that you will end up losing money instead. There are simply a lot of factors to consider (rarity of glasses, durability, watch time, and strategy), which makes it a poor earning opportunity, in my opinion.

Option 2 – Referral Program

The other earning opportunity it offers is its referral program. The idea is to invite people to install the app and register. To do so, you must share your invite link with the person you want to invite.

You can earn additional rewards through its referral program.

Then, when they click the link and install the app, they must finish the registration process (more on this later). Once they’ve done that, they will become your referral. However, for you to earn from your referral, they must purchase a Cheelee glasses from the marketplace.

As you can see in the photo above, you’ll earn a certain amount as a reward once your referral buys a Cheelee glasses. The lowest amount you can earn is $1 and that’s if your referral buys a common Cheelee glasses. The highest amount you will earn is $100 when your referral buys a legendary Cheelee glasses.

So, it’s quite hard to earn from this opportunity, in my opinion, because you must make sure the people you invite are willing to spend money on it. Personally, it’s not something I would recommend to my friends and you will understand why later.

How do you get paid?

When you earn a reward from Cheelee, you will get LEE tokens. This is its own digital currency. Now, the question is, can you convert it to cash?

payout method of cheelee
You can convert your earnings to cash and withdraw them to any bank in Kazakhstan.

Yes, the app does let you convert your LEE tokens to cash through its platform. However, I noticed something weird when I checked out the payout method.

In the photo above, you can see the app is using KZT as its currency, which is Kazakhstan’s currency. I found this weird because normally, the default currency is usually in US Dollars, especially for global apps/sites.

Then, as also shown in the photo, the only way you can withdraw your earnings is by withdrawing them directly to any Kazakhstan bank. Mind you, I don’t live in Kazakhstan or even anywhere near it. So, the fact that it only offers this kind of payout method is very unusual.

I’m not sure if this is really the only option it offers or if it depends on your country, but that’s what I encountered while testing the app. It also means that I won’t be able to withdraw my earnings as cash because I don’t have a bank account in Kazakhstan.

The app does offer a way for you to withdraw your earnings if this is the case. You can transfer your LEE tokens to any crypto wallet that can support it like Binance.

The problem is that the app won’t guide you on how to do this. So, if you are new to crypto, you might not be able to figure it out on your own. And I’ll be honest with you, I never bothered to figure it out because I don’t plan on withdrawing anything from it.

Overall, I would say the payout method of Cheelee is quite confusing. It’s strange that it only offers KZT as its currency even though I don’t live in Kazakhstan or anywhere near it.

If you prefer sites that offer simpler and more convenient payout methods, I recommend you check out the top sites that pay via PayPal instead.

Red flags you need to be aware of

While testing the app, I encountered a couple of red flags. Let me discuss them so that you will be able to spot them easily on other apps that you try in the future.

Red flag #1 – Doesn’t offer guaranteed earnings

The main issue I found while testing Cheelee was that it doesn’t offer guaranteed earnings considering you have to spend money to even start earning. Sure, the app promises you can earn high rewards if you also spend a significant amount.

Yes, you can indeed earn rewards from it, but the problem is that there’s a huge chance that you will end up not being able to earn back the money you spent. That’s because you will not earn from every video you watch. Plus, there’s also the issue of durability.

You must make sure that you can earn enough rewards from your Cheelee glasses before their durability runs out. It wouldn’t have been an issue if your “watch time” was unlimited. The fact that you have to wait for your watch time to be recharged before you can continue trying to earn from your glasses just makes it very hard to earn rewards.

You’ll have to keep logging in to the app to see if your watch time is recharged so you can continue watching videos. That’s a lot of hassle, in my opinion. In all my years of testing online rewards apps and sites, this is the first time I’ve encountered an earning opportunity that makes it very hard for me to earn rewards.

Normally, based on my experience, earnings opportunities are quite straightforward, especially if they involve spending money.

Red flag #2 – Using an unpopular currency

Another red flag I noticed was the currency the app is using. Weirdly, it uses KZT as its default currency. Again, I’m not sure if this is just how it is or if it depends on where you live, but the fact remains that KZT isn’t the usual currency being used by apps that are available globally.

Normally, it would be in USD or EUR. Plus, it says that you can only withdraw your earnings to any Kazakhstan bank, even though I don’t live in Kazakhstan. So, the result is that I won’t be able to convert my LEE tokens to cash using the app since it will only let me deposit the converted cash to a Kazakhstan bank.

This is a huge red flag, in my opinion, because they can’t even seem to get their payout method right. If that isn’t working, who knows, maybe it also won’t allow you to withdraw your earnings.

cheelee complaints
The most common complaint about the app is that it won't let you withdraw your earnings.

Lo and behold, I checked the reviews on its Google Play page, and most complaints are about not being able to withdraw your earnings (refer to the photo above). That just goes to show the quality of service the app offers. And even though they seem to respond to the reviews posted, all the reviewers get is a generic reply, which also says a lot about the extent of the support the app is willing to give, in my opinion.

Final Verdict

Cheelee is an app that will let you earn rewards by watching videos. It doesn’t have great features, only certain drawbacks you must consider.

Let me end this review by summarizing its pros and cons so you can get a clear overview of what it offers. Then, you will understand why it’s not something I recommend you use.

cons

Cons:

  • Doesn’t offer guaranteed earnings
  • Only offers one type of currency and payout method

If it’s not quite clear yet, I don’t recommend you download Cheelee because you will only be wasting your time and potentially your money. It is very hard to earn from it even though you must spend money to keep earning.

The way its earning opportunity is designed is that if you are not diligent enough and you are not willing to spend money, you will not be able to profit from what it offers. You are better off investing your time in sites or apps that offer guaranteed earnings instead.

This is why I recommend you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead. The apps and sites on this list all offer guaranteed earnings. Plus, all of them will let you withdraw your earnings easily.
