One way you can supposedly earn from DollarTub is by watching videos. When you log in to the member dashboard, you will immediately see the video you must watch to earn. What surprised me while testing was the high reward you would earn for watching a video trailer that is around 30 to 40 seconds long.

You see, you will usually earn around $0.61 to $0.99 per video you watch. For a site that offers this kind of earning opportunity, that is quite a significant amount.

To start earning, just click the Play button, and a pop-up window and countdown will appear. Now, if you switch to a different tab or window, the video will stop playing, and the countdown will be paused. So, you must stay on the tab where the video is playing.

After the video has finished, you will receive the specified amount, and it will be credited directly to your DollarTub account balance. Then, just click the Watch Next Video button to repeat the process.

You can do this as many times as you like because, from what I can see, there seems to be an unlimited number of videos you can watch. As for the videos you must watch, they are mostly movie or TV series trailers, so they aren’t exactly boring to watch, in my opinion.

It’s a very easy way to earn, and considering you’ll earn a decent amount, you might go thinking that this is a great way to earn. However, that’s not really the case, and I will explain why later.

Option 2 – Referral Program

The other way to earn from DollarTub is by inviting people to join the site through its referral program. All you have to do is share your invite link with the people you want to invite.

Then, when they click the link and sign up as a member, they will become your referral. You will immediately earn $5 as a reward, and on top of that, you’ll also earn an additional 10% every time your referral earns from DollarTub.

This is quite a generous referral program, in my opinion, so I immediately became wary of the site. Later, I will explain why. Normally, referral programs have certain requirements that must be met before you will earn from them.

Referral programs that don’t have any additional requirements usually don’t pay a lot. That’s why I immediately became wary of what DollarTub offers.

How do you get paid?

So, how can you withdraw your earnings from DollarTub? Well, here’s the weird part. When I tested it, I found out that it offers four payout options – PayPal, Paytm, CashApp, and direct bank transfer.

What’s weird about its payout options is that you won’t exactly know immediately how much you need to earn to withdraw your earnings. Normally, online rewards sites will tell you right away the threshold you must reach to redeem/withdraw your earnings.

But with DollarTub, you will only find out if you attempt to make a withdrawal. It will say that you must earn at least $100 before you can withdraw your earnings. This is quite a high payout threshold, in my opinion.

Now, you might be thinking that it is doable since DollarTub pays quite well. If you spend a lot of time watching videos, you’ll be able to hit the threshold in just a couple of days easily. Here’s where the problem lies.

Based on my experience, sites like this will make it harder and harder for you to hit the threshold. When you get closer to the threshold, what will normally happen is that you will earn fewer and fewer rewards by watching videos. This will make it very hard for you to hit the threshold.

And if you somehow manage to hit the threshold, it will just tell you that you must meet a certain outrageous requirement before you can withdraw your earnings. Normally, based on my experience, sites with exaggerated earning claims like this will ask usually you to invite a certain number of people before you withdraw your earnings.

And even if you still manage to meet that outrageous requirement, there will just be another hurdle. This is how it usually works with sketchy websites that are not transparent with their payout options.

You see, sites that really pay you will tell you immediately how you can cash out. You’ll know what the threshold is prior to withdrawing your earnings and there won’t be any additional requirements.

This is why I would say the payout system of DollarTub is quite dubious, in my opinion, which is why I would say you should not expect to get paid by it.

So, if you are looking for sites that will let you withdraw your earnings quickly and easily, I suggest you check out the fastest paying sites instead.

Red flags you should be aware of

While testing DollarTub, I noticed a couple of red flags, and I will explain them in detail so that you will know how to spot them on future sites you encounter.

Red flag #1 – Outrageous earning claims

Every time I encounter websites or apps that offer outrageous earning claims, I always get wary. You see, the general rule with online rewards sites is that the pay will always equal the time and effort required to complete it.

And as you can see, the earning opportunities DollarTub offers don’t require a lot of time and effort to do. So, you shouldn’t expect to earn a lot from it. Sites that offer the same kind of earning opportunity typically pay around $0.05 to $0.1 per video you watch, and those are the good ones, I might add, and usually, you will earn a lot less.

So, the fact that you can earn at least $0.60 per video you watch is cause for alarm. If you do it all day, you can actually hit the threshold to withdraw your earnings in just a couple of days. This type of red flag typically comes hand in hand with the next red flag I will discuss.

Red flag #2 – Not transparent with the payout options

When a site is withholding information regarding the payout options, it usually means one thing – they don’t intend to pay you. As explained earlier, you will only know how much the payout threshold is if you attempt to withdraw your earnings.

Normally, with legit sites, you will immediately know what the conditions are to withdraw your earnings. Every time I test a site that will only tell you how you can withdraw your earnings at the last minute, it always means I won’t be getting the money I’ve earned.

What always happens is that if you manage to hit the threshold, you’ll be bombarded with hidden requirements to withdraw your earnings, like getting a certain number of referrals or, worse, paying a certain amount.

You see, in my opinion, a great site has no reason to keep this information hidden because it can serve to motivate people to be more active so they can finally hit the threshold and withdraw their hard-earned money. That’s just how it works with online rewards sites and apps.

So, if you encounter a site or app that is not transparent with how you can withdraw your earnings, I suggest you avoid them entirely. You’ll only be wasting your time because you will never be able to withdraw your earnings.

Red flag #3 – Name-dropping big companies

While this is pretty common with online rewards sites, you still have to be critical of which companies these sites mention. For example, it says on DollarTub’s homepage that it has partnered with huge streaming companies like Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, etc.

There’s no way these huge companies will partner with a relatively unknown site because they simply don’t need it. They are already very well-established companies that don’t need the help of obscure companies/websites like DollarTub to promote them.

They already have huge marketing teams, so they don’t need websites like DollarTub to promote their products. That is why it is also very important to be critical of what online rewards sites show on their website because some of them are not true.

Final Verdict

DollarTub is a website that claims you can earn good money by watching videos from Netflix and other popular streaming companies. It has a lot of cons you need to be aware of, so let me enumerate them so you will understand why I don’t recommend you waste your time on it.

As I’ve mentioned above, I don’t recommend you waste your time on DollarTub. Even though what it offers seems promising, you will never earn anything from it because it will not let you withdraw your earnings.
