HideoutTV Review – Worth Joining? (All You Need to Know)

HideoutTV Rating

HideoutTV is a legit GPT site that will reward you to watch videos. If you are just looking to watch interesting and fun videos to earn rewards, it is definitely an option. But the rewards are not great.

If you are looking for ways to earn online, there’s a site called HideoutTV that promises to pay you just for watching videos. It sounds very easy and appealing, right?

But is HideoutTV legit, though? Or is it just a scam?

Let me answer this question right away so we can discuss other important aspects. Yes, HideoutTV is a legit Get-Paid-To (GPT) site that will pay you to watch videos (you will see payment proof later in this review).

But is it worth joining? Well, that is an entirely different matter. To answer that question, we must consider a couple of things first.

This HideoutTV review will show you exactly how it works and what you can expect so you can find out if this is a site for you or not.

What is HideoutTV, and what does it offer?

HideoutTV is a GPT site that deals specifically with videos. In other words, you will be paid to watch videos on the site.

It’s a bit different from most of the other GPT sites you will encounter, and I will explain later why.

Now, to figure out if it is worth joining, we have to find out if it has good earning potential or not. And to do that, we have to take a closer look at the earning opportunities it offers.

I created a video guide to show you exactly how Hideout TV works, as it can be a bit confusing at first. In the video, you will also see earning/payment proof. You can also read all the details below the video:

Option 1 – Watching Videos

As you already know, you will be able to earn rewards by watching videos.

When you become a member, you can log in to their site or app (yes, they have an app, and I will talk about it later) and watch videos.

Watch Videos On Hideouttv
To earn rewards, you have to watch the ads that will be loaded on any of the videos listed.

As you can see in the photo above, there are plenty of videos to watch. A lot of these videos are also entertaining. All you have to do is pick a video to watch and click it to earn rewards. But there is something you need to remember.

First of all, you need to be logged in to earn. You can start watching the videos without logging in but will then not earn, so you need to remember this.

Also, you don’t get rewarded by watching videos. Instead, you will be rewarded by watching the ads that will be played before, during, and in between the videos (refer to the photo below).

The ads that will be played before the videos will be determined by your location.

Hideouttv Ads
You need to make sure ads are loading on the video; otherwise, you won't earn any rewards.

It’s important to note that there will be times when there won’t be any ads shown. That means there aren’t any active campaigns running for your location. So, no matter how many times you watch a video, if there isn’t any ad showing, you won’t earn anything.

That’s why if you just want to earn and there aren’t any ads loading before, during, or after the videos, you better skip watching and wait until later or try again another day.

So, to recap, for you to earn a reward by watching a video, there have to be ads playing, and you have to finish watching the video.

If you can’t earn by watching videos in a day, there’s a consolation you will get, which I will talk about next.

Option 2 – Hideout TV Promo Code

As mentioned, if there aren’t any ads that will allow you to earn by watching videos, you will still be able to earn rewards, albeit it’s just a small amount.

HideoutTV will give out a reward you can claim every day.

Hideouttv Free Rewards
You can redeem a free promo code once a day.

Every day, you are entitled to a free reward. You can claim it by clicking on the Reward button found below any video (refer to the photo above). Just click that button, and you will see a daily promo code you can redeem.

To redeem the code, you simply have to click the Add button, and it will then add a small number of points to your HideoutTV balance.

To be honest, it’s really not that much, but it is better than nothing. At least you are guaranteed to earn points every day just by logging in.

So, during your first login to the site, I suggest you make it a habit to claim it right away so you won’t forget it.

Option 3 – Hideout TV Giveaways/Sweepstakes

One of the newer options on HideoutTV is its giveaways and sweepstakes. They have a section where you can go and register for this for free. You can find new options here monthly and be lucky to win some extra points without much effort.

Just make sure to read the exact conditions for each giveaway before registering so you know what you are saying yes to, as you, in some cases, might have to agree to receive further promotions/ads to get a chance to win.

How do you get paid?

You will earn points when you watch videos. But here’s where it becomes a bit more interesting and also a bit tricky, so you need to know how this works.

The points you’ve earned on HideoutTV can be exchanged for a prepaid Visa card. However, this option does not seem to be available in all countries.

So, if you can’t see this option on the reward list, then it’s not available in your region. If it is, the minimum amount you can redeem is $5, and the maximum will be $1,000.

Hideouttv Rewards 1
You can claim a prepaid Visa card as a reward, but it is not available in all countries.

Each amount will require a certain number of points. To set the amount you want to redeem, just move the slider to the amount you want. It will then show you how many points you will need to redeem it.

You will then receive an email that will ask you to choose between a virtual or physical card. If you choose a virtual card, it will be emailed to you immediately. If you choose a physical card, it will be sent via mail (shipping and handling fee of $3.00 to be deducted from the card balance).

The funds in the prepaid Visa card must be accessed within 4 months from the date it was issued. Once the card is redeemed, you will have 7 months to use the funds. So keep that in mind when redeeming a prepaid Visa card.

However, you also have another payment option, and this is available in all the countries where HideoutTV is available (more about which countries these are later).

You can transfer the points you’ve earned on HideoutTV to any partner site. You just have to link your account to that partner site (refer to the photo below).

Hideouttv Reward Claiming
You can also transfer the points you've earned to a partner site and then get paid from there.

You can link your account to many different partner sites, and they are usually GPT sites –  but you can, of course, only transfer points to one partner site every time.

When you do it that way, what happens is that the points you’ve earned on HideoutTV will be converted into the equivalent number of points of the site you want to transfer them to.

The conversion rate will vary depending on the site you transfer it to. Some sites have higher conversion rates than others. So, you need to look into this to find out which sites will allow you to make the most out of the points you’ve earned on HideoutTV.

You can also check out this list of the best sites to earn by watching videos that will show you where to get the most out of your time.

Going the second route is definitely a bit more complicated than just redeeming prepaid Visa cards.

Now, if you want a much simpler reward redemption process, I suggest you check out the top sites that pay via PayPal instead.

How much money can you make?

If you are hoping to earn a significant amount from it, then you will really be disappointed.

It doesn’t pay that well. In fact, they even mention it on their support page. If you are purely looking for a way to earn cash, this isn’t the right site for you.

The reward you will get for watching one video will be less than $0.1.In fact, when I tested it, I had to watch around 15-20 videos (including a lot of ads) to earn points worth $0.15.

So, you won’t be able to earn a decent amount without spending a lot of time on it.

The real value it offers is that it will allow you to earn a small amount and have fun at the same time.

Because as I’ve mentioned earlier, the videos you can watch will definitely be fun and interesting if you just choose a video category that fits you.

Can you use it on mobile?

As mentioned earlier in this review, HideoutTV has an app you can download so you can just watch videos on your mobile device.

In fact, if you go to the website Hideout.tv, they promote the app more than the browser version of their platform.

If you look at the homepage, you will clearly see the download links for their app. But you can also see a small link you can click on that will take you to a different URL.

This will take you to Hideout.co, and this will be the web version of their platform.

So, you do have the choice to watch videos on your mobile device or your laptop or desktop. This makes it a very versatile platform.

Hideouttv App
Their app is available on the Android app store as well as in the Amazon app store.

As for their app, it is available on the Amazon app store and Google Play.

So, if you are using an iPhone or an iPad, you will have to use the web version of their platform. Also, the Hideout TV app currently does not seem to be available in all countries, so in some countries, you have to stick to the web version.

Fortunately, their site is mobile-friendly, which will make it easier to use.

Who can join HideoutTV?

HideoutTV is available in several different countries. Here’s a list of the countries where it’s available.

  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • Canada
  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • Netherlands
  • Germany
  • Norway
  • Ireland
  • Denmark
  • Sweden
  • Romania
  • Portugal
  • Poland
  • Malta
  • Latvia
  • Luxembourg
  • Lithuania
  • Italy
  • Hungary
  • Croatia
  • Greece
  • France

  • Finland
  • Spain
  • Estonia
  • Cyprus
  • Bulgaria
  • Belgium
  • Austria
  • India
  • Ukraine
  • Uruguay
  • Brazil
  • Mexico
  • Japan
  • Taiwan
  • Hong Kong
  • Singapore
  • Colombia
  • Malaysia
  • Thailand
  • Ecuador
  • Peru
  • United Arab Emirates
  • Philippines

If you live in a country that is not included on the list above, you can let them know by clicking on the Submit a Request on their contact page.

Then just wait for their reply on the next step you have to do. But typically, they will just inform you that they will be considering it.

And be aware that they are very strict if you try to cheat or fake your account.

If you use a VPN to make it look like you are from a different country, use HideoutTV on several devices at the same time, or try to cheat in any other way, they will detect this and ban you.

So, as with any other platform, do it honestly if you want to participate.

Now, to be eligible to join, you have to be at least 13 years of age. You can sign up for their platform using your Facebook or Google account. You can also just provide your own login details if you prefer.

Once you are done with the sign-up form, you can log in to the site and start earning. That’s how easy their sign-up process is.

Can you get support?

The one thing I like about it is how they handle their support. You will be able to find most of the answers you are looking for if you check out their Support Center.

Support Center Of Hideouttv 1
If you have any questions, you can check their support center. You can also submit your inquiries through that page.

As you can see in the photo above, they have a well-organized support center. You will be able to search for frequently asked questions easily. It’s also very comprehensive, and each topic is explained in detail.

If I were to name a perfect example of a good support center, theirs would be on the top of my list.

Plus, if you can’t find the answers you are looking for, you can create a support ticket and submit your inquiry.

You will also be able to track the status of all your inquiries, and you can view resolved ones just in case the need arises.

Final Verdict

HideoutTV is a legit GPT site that will reward you for watching videos. It has a couple of good features, but it also has certain limitations that are hard to ignore.

So, let me end this review with a summary of its pros and cons to help you decide if it is worth your time or not.

pros

Pros:

  • Has a user-friendly site and app
  • Well-organized and comprehensive support center
  • Has a lot of fun and interesting videos you can watch
cons

Cons:

  • Limited earning opportunities
  • Very low rewards
  • No guarantee ads will be available (which means you cannot always earn)

If you are just looking to watch interesting and fun videos to earn rewards, it is definitely an option. But if you are really looking for good ways to earn extra cash, then you are better off joining other sites. The main drawback of HideoutTV, in my opinion, is the low rewards they offer.

It will practically take you thousands of hours just to earn a decent amount. So, it’s not the most efficient way to earn online. But as I’ve said, it can certainly be fun and interesting.

The best thing I can suggest if you are really interested in this platform is to sign up for one of their partner sites because these sites offer better earning potential. So, you will be able to get the best of both worlds.

You can still watch fun and interesting videos, plus you can earn more rewards from other earning opportunities. You can check out the top survey sites in your country. You can find plenty of HideoutTV partner sites on that list.

But also, you will be able to find plenty of sites that have way better earning potential than HideoutTV. Plus, you will be able to find a site you can join regardless of where you live.

If you have any comments, questions, or experiences with HideoutTV, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.

  1. Hello, Mikael!
Are you sure that viewing the videos with advertising gives even points ?? !!
I’ve seen mountains of videos and never received any points!
In which area of the site can I see these famous spots?
The only points I have achieved are the 3 points daily and the 25 points that result from the promo codes that I find on facebook.
    Best Regards

    • Hi TonyC,

Yes, I am sure. It does not give a lot but it does pay. If you look in the review above, you can find a video. Here I show how I earn and I also show how I take money out of Hideout TV.

If it is still not working for you, there might be a technical error with your account. Or if you, for example, have an ad blocker installed then they can likely not track what you are watching and thereby you cannot earn.

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.

      • Hi
Thank you for the speed of your response and for your suggestions.
I don’t have any ad blocker installed and I’ve already redeemed hundreds of points, transferring them to other sites like superpay.me, earnably, grabpoints, thinkopinion … But all these points were obtained in the daily offer and promo codes, as I said.
But after all (sorry for the insistence), in which section of the site can the points gained in viewing the videos be seen?

        • To earn on HideoutTV you need to create a separate account on Hideout and connect it to the account of the Get-Paid-To site you want to redeem your earned points from. So you will not see any points from Hideout until you have created a separate account there.

I would suggest you watch the video in the review above as I show and explain everything there.

          Hope this helps.

          • Hi, Mikael

Thank you so much for trying to help. Everything in your video is great information, but it’s not new to me.
I have a Hideoutv account, I have already redeemed many points for several partner sites (Earnably, Grabpoints, Superpay.me, Think Opinion and others) and today I have almost 1500 points in my Hideoutv account (registered in the respective rectangle).
I think the problem is that I can’t see the Ads at the beginning of the videos. “Loading Ad” appears, but I don’t see anything, just the video, afterwards.
I have all permissions enabled for the site, including ads. I don’t have any blockers installed.
I don’t understand what’s going on, but I’ve already sent a request to the website support. I’m waiting.
            Thanks again.
            Tony

          • If no ads appear, it is simply because there are no ads available in your country at the moment and then you cannot earn. Ads come and go all the time as it depends entirely on how many advertisers currently are willing to pay to have ads shown in your country.

  2. I’m sorry I repeated the same message.
But, in fact, I also have a Hideouttv account.
Sometimes I enter the site directly, logging in, other times I enter through the other partner sites I mentioned.
I also saw your video before, but I stayed the same. I think I will contact Hideoutv support directly.
    Thank you very much

    • Yes, sounds like there might be a technical error with your account then so good idea to contact their support directly.

Let me know how it goes.

  3. Hi, Mikael!
    Some questions still about HideouTV:
    – Regarding my notebook, even with the Hideout TV support suggestions, the ads still don’t run.
    – I installed and tried the App on my smartphone and everything is going well there too. Yesterday and today I added almost 800 points. I didn’t realize that there was any video without advertising. I think everyone (or almost everyone) gave points.
However, although my wife has her own Hideout TV account, if we are both watching videos, the reward is only credited to one of us. There is even a warning that alerts you to that.
    – Another thing: of all partner sites, the most advantageous point transfer is to Ysense or Swagbucks (they belong to the same owner – Prodege LLC, which also holds MyPoints and InboxDollars), as the conversion is done on a 1: 1 basis and not 1: 0.7 or 1: 0.65, as with other sites.
Here in Portugal, there is still no option Ysense Watch. Or you get to HideoutTV by clicking on the Ascendmedia Offerwall (owner of HideoutTV), or by logging in directly on the website.

    Best regards

      • Hi, Mikael

There are many GPT review sites, but your work on it is much more credible and I appreciate your sharing of ideas and knowledge.
I hope I’m not taking too much of your time with my opinions and doubts.
I checked some time ago that you created a section with the best sites for Portugal, which you updated last week. Soon I’ll post a comment, because I’m Portuguese.
Yesterday, when I wrote “questions”, I meant “issues”.
I also made a mistake, because I gave you wrong information in my text and I apologize for that. In fact, Ysense is not the site that has the most favorable conversion of HDTV points, it is even the worst option. I discovered this only too late, after I converted them.
Theoretically, it takes 18 points (instead of 9 from other sites) to get € 0.01 Ysense. I should have seen this during the process and didn’t see it), but in practice the conversion turns out to be even lower, as my 780s were converted to € 0.35, instead of € 0.43. I didn’t understand why.
I have also confirmed that Swagbucks and Prizerebel convert points at a rate identical to Ysense, that is, just over half of Earnably, InstaGC, or Grabpoints, for example.
You have a section with only sites that offer video viewing. But what I see is that these sites do not have their own video program. All (or almost, I don’t know yet) refer to Hideout TV. That is, these sites are Hideout TV’s partner sites, such as those mentioned above.
I would like to know if you know other sites that are really identical and alternative to Hideout TV.
        Thank you very much

        • I appreciate all your feedback and comments. Great to hear about your experiences.

About sites that offer other video options, then one of the top sites on my list is Timebucks – this also offers Hideout but when you look carefully on the platform, it also offers other video options. I explain this in my full review of it you can check out through the link.

A site that offers you to earn by watching YouTube videos is AdsRePay. In my opinion, it is not a very good site but at least it offers you a different type of videos as a way to earn.

          Hope this helps.

          • Hi, Mikael!

Still on Hideout TV, since Friday I watched many videos, corresponding to 300-400 daily points, always using the smartphone, since on the notebook, as I said, only the info “Loading Ad” and no Ad appeared.
However, since 10 pm yesterday, the Ads disappeared from the videos.
Will the Hideout TV team be able to prevent the App on my smartphone from showing Ads, to prevent me from watching too many videos?
Strangely, today I managed to see 3 videos with Ad on the notebook. But there were only 3. Advertising was from a Portuguese telecommunications company. Until now, the Ads I had seen on the app were all from an international company.
I am increasingly confused by this. I will even try Timebucks and AdsRepay.
One last note: I have been a member of the website PrizesLab (ThinkOpinion’s almost twin brother) for several months, but I had not yet joined Hideout TV through it. Today I entered through it, made the registration requested. I redeemed the points for PrizesLab and found out that this site offers the best conversion rate: 9 points give 1 point in PrizesLab, which corresponds to 0.01 €.
If I get more Hideout TV points, I will redeem them for this site.

            Kind Regards
            Tony

          • Thanks for the update and for keep sharing your tests.

It can be a bit confusing when they show ads and when they do not. But it mostly just depends what advertisers are paying for at any given moment. Sometimes there are no advertisers running ads for the target groups you are in and then there will be no ads. And sometimes ads will also be targeted towards just certain devices.

  4. Yes, that makes sense.
Not always having advertisers available is a hypothesis I’ve already thought about. The others also make sense, if they are technically possible.

    Reply
    • It definitely is technically possible to target certain devices. That is something most advertising options give you the chance to choose.

      Reply
      • Well, Mikael, just yesterday, shortly after my message, everything came back the same: all videos have Ads from the same previous company.
Another novelty: from yesterday to today, Prizeslab lowered the conversion rate for Hideout points. It is now in line with the other sites, with the exception of Swagbucks, Ysense and PrizeRebel, which is quite inferior.
