Hyer is a mobile app that claims it can help you find flexible gig work so you can earn extra cash.
It sounds like a decent way to earn extra cash, but the big question is, is it legit or just another scam? And if it is legit, is it the right opportunity for you?
In this Hyer app review, I will explain the full details of what it offers so you will know exactly what to expect from it. Then, you can make an educated decision on whether or not what it offers is the right opportunity for you.
So, let’s go ahead and take a closer look at what Hyer is all about, shall we?
What is Hyer, and what does it offer?
Hyer is a gig economy app that will help you find the right gig jobs so you can earn extra cash daily. It is indeed legit because you can really find paying jobs while using it.
However, that doesn’t necessarily mean it is right for you. To determine if it is worth it and the proper fit for you, you must first understand how it works. So, let’s go ahead and inspect the earning opportunity it offers so you will have a clear understanding of how good it is and how much time and effort is needed to earn from it.
So, here’s how to earn from Hyer.
The earning opportunity – Tasks
Once you become a Hyer tasker, you’ll need to log in to the mobile app (more on this later) to see all the tasks available in your area. When you see a task you are interested in, just click it to see the full details. If you want to work on it, you must hit the Apply button.
And if your application is accepted, then all that’s left to do is show up at the location when it’s time to work. The video below explains exactly how the process works.
However, there’s also one thing you need to know about these tasks. From time to time, customers/employers will offer tasks to certain members privately. This is called a private offer, and it is usually offered to members the customer deems eligible to work for them.
You will be notified by the app if you ever get one, but this is a very rare occurrence, so it’s not something you should expect to happen frequently.
When you are in the location of the task, you’ll need to clock in (as the video explains) before you start working. When the job is completed, you must answer a survey (if needed) and check with the manager/owner if you are good to clock out. If the manager/owner gives the go signal, you can go ahead and clock out through the app.
Then, your employer will pay you for the job you’ve done. Later, I will explain how the payment system works.
As for the type of jobs you have to do, it will vary. Most tasks involve general labor, delivery, food service, cleaning, and warehouse services (refer to the photo below). So, they don’t really require special skills for you to earn. As long as you are willing to do what the employer asks of you, you’ll be able to earn.
If you have to do delivery jobs, some employers will require you to own an insured vehicle to be hired. So, make sure to keep that in mind when you apply for delivery tasks.

Now, there are two types of tasks available on Hyer – the fixed fee and the hourly fee. The good thing is that you’ll immediately know if the task offers a fixed or hourly rate, so that part won’t be confusing.
As for the availability of tasks, it will all depend on your location. Based on my experience, there will be more tasks available to people who live in big cities.

How do you get paid?
As explained earlier, you’ll earn a certain amount when working on tasks. You can either earn a fixed amount or a certain rate per hour, depending on the task. Now, the question is, how will you get paid?
Well, using Hyer will require you to connect your Stripe account, so if you don’t have one, you better sign up for one if you are interested in becoming a member of Hyer. As for the exact payment process, the video below explains exactly how it goes.
As explained in the video, your employer will be given 24 hours to confirm the payment once you’ve completed the task. When the payment is confirmed, it will be released to your Stripe account automatically.
Then, it will be up to you if you want to withdraw your earnings from Stripe to your bank account instantly or wait for the weekly payout schedule, which will be done automatically. Weekly Payouts start processing each Monday and are deposited on Wednesdays that same week.
Take note that there will be a 1% fee for each payout, with a $0.50 minimum. So, don’t expect to receive the full amount when you withdraw your earnings.
Overall, I would consider Hyer’s payout system to be relatively convenient and straightforward. I like the fact that you can easily withdraw your earnings directly to your bank account as long as you have a Stripe account.
If you are interested in more sites that use a convenient payout method, I recommend you also check out the top sites that pay via direct bank transfer.
How much money can you make?
The amount you can earn from Hyer will depend on how often you are willing to work on tasks and your location. Your location will determine the availability of tasks, and as mentioned earlier, based on my experience, there will be a good number of tasks available to you if you live in a very large city.
But if you live in a small town, you will hardly find any opportunities to earn. As for the rate per task, you can expect them to meet at least the minimum wage, so you won’t be underpaid. Employers tend to also offer competitive rates so that they can quickly get the positions filled.
After all, if they can’t get someone to work for them, their business will suffer. So, overall, I would consider Hyer’s earning potential to be relatively decent. It is one of the better gig economy apps out there, in my opinion.
Can you use it on a desktop?
Hyer Job Search is a mobile-only platform, so you will need to use your phone. It is understandable because you’ll need to clock in and out when working on tasks, which is why there’s no need for the platform to be accessible on your computer, in my opinion. Everything can be done on your phone, which, to be honest, is more convenient.

As for the app, it is available to both Android and iOS users, so compatibility won’t be an issue. It is also user-friendly, so you won’t have a hard time navigating it.
The overall user experience it provides is generally pleasant, in my opinion, which is all you can ask for from an app like this.
Who can join Hyer?
Hyer is only available to people who live in the US. If you live somewhere else, then this is not for you. You also have to be at least 18 years of age to register as a tasker.
To sign up, you must install the app first. Then, when you open the app for the first time, you’ll have to go through the registration process. During this phase, you’ll have to provide your Social Security Number, skills, and consent to a background check, which is a yearly requirement for taskers.
This means you’ll have to undergo a background check every time you work as a Hyer tasker. The good thing, though, is that Hyer pays the majority of the cost of the background check. You’ll only have to cover $5 – $20, depending on where you are located.
After the background check is completed, you can start applying for tasks in your location.
Can you get support?
Hyer has a comprehensive Help section for taskers that you can check out if you have questions about the platform. If you can’t find the answers you need, then you can submit a support request through the Help page.
It’s a more convenient way to contact support because you can track all the tickets you’ve submitted. So, if you encounter the same issue, you can just check your tickets to remember how to resolve them.
This is why I would say Hyer provides decent support to its members since it offers a convenient way to get help.
Final Verdict
Hyer is a legit gig economy app that will let you earn by completing tasks in your area. It has a couple of good features, but it also has certain disadvantages you must consider.
Let me end this review by summarizing its pros and cons so you can see a clear overview of what it offers. Then, you can decide if it is the right fit for you or not.

Pros:
- Has a convenient payout system
- Task pay relatively well
- The app is user-friendly

Cons:
- Requires a certain level of commitment and a bit of time to earn
- You’ll have to pay a fee to become a member (due to the background check)
In my opinion, Hyer is a decent app to use if you are looking for gig work in your area. It is user-friendly and it offers a convenient payout method. However, I would only recommend you go for it if you live in a big city because there will be ample opportunities to earn.
If you live in a small town, then you won’t get any earning opportunities. You are better off finding other ways to earn instead, which is why I recommend you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country if Hyer is not for you.
The sites and apps on this list all have good earning potential, so you can earn a decent amount quickly. Aside from that, these sites and apps will let you earn even without leaving your house, and you will definitely find a site or app you can join regardless of where you live.
