Robson is an app that promises you can earn money on your phone by doing simple tasks. It definitely sounds like a tempting offer.
But before you download it, it would be wise to take a step back and examine the app first. And the first question that should be running through your head is whether it is even legit or a scam. This is an important piece of information that needs to be clarified right away.
So, let me address this quickly. Yes, Robson is a legit app that will really pay you for doing simple tasks. But does it offer a good way to earn a decent amount? That remains to be seen.
This Robson app review will give you the lowdown of what the app has to offer, so you will know exactly what to expect when you sign up. That way, you can make an informed decision about whether it is worth your time or not. So, let’s get started with this review.
What is Robson, and what does it offer?
Robson is a Get-Paid-To (GPT) app designed to help people like you contribute to the development of new technologies through the power of your voice.
And in return for your effort, you will get paid.
Now, let’s take a closer look at the earning opportunity it offers so you can understand how it works, and you will have an idea of how well you can earn from it. So, here’s how you can earn from Robson.
The earning opportunity – Tasks
The app only offers one earning opportunity, and that is through the tasks they offer. When you log in to the app, you will immediately see all the available tasks you can work on. You will also be notified via email if there are new tasks for you.
Usually, their tasks will ask you to record short phrases, participate in phone conversations with your friends, or transcribe speech. Other times, it will ask you to make videos.
In the photo below, the task I took on was to make videos with a GoPro.

When you see a task you are interested in doing, simply press it, and you will see the task details. You will see the instructions you need to follow, the requirements to complete the tasks, the reward you will receive, and the deadline for the task.
However, before you can start doing the task, you have to answer a set of qualifying questions.
They do this because each task will only allow a limited number of participants. So, they need to ensure the people they assign the task to are qualified to complete the task.
When you’ve been approved to take on the task, you will receive an email notifying you that you can start working on it. You can also check the task status when you log in to the app.
After you’ve finished everything the task asks you to do, you will need to upload all the requirements. Once that is done, Robson's quality assurance team will review your work. If everything is in order, they will pay you the promised amount.
If their QA team deems your work unsatisfactory, they will ask you to redo the task and provide feedback on what you need to improve. So, you are given a second chance to do everything right, which is quite nice and something most apps like this I have tested do not offer.
However, you will only have 72 hours (unless stated otherwise) to submit the corrections. If you fail to submit it within the specified time, or if they still consider your work unsatisfactory, you will not receive the reward.
As for how long their review period takes, it typically takes 5 to 10 days for the review to be completed. So, don’t expect to hear back from Robson immediately.

How do you get paid?
What I like about Robson is how they will pay you. Typically, with apps like this, you will have to reach a certain threshold before you can withdraw your earnings. But with Robson, it’s a bit different.
You will receive the payment right away, regardless of the amount. Of course, the task has to be approved by Robson first.
So effectively, the app has no payout threshold, which is a good thing because you don’t need to wait to get paid.

Robson offers two payment options: PayPal or Amazon gift cards. You can choose which one you prefer during the registration phase (which I will talk about later).
If you decide to change the payment method, you can go to your account settings and update it. So, in terms of flexibility of payment options, Robson has that covered.
If you choose to be paid via PayPal, it typically takes up to 5 business days for the amount to be credited to your account. So, don’t expect to receive your earnings right away.
How much money can you make?
Robson prides itself on offering fair rewards, and I believe it. They do pay a decent amount for the tasks they offer (usually around $5 to $50 per task, depending on the complexity of the task).
So, the amount you will be able to earn will mostly depend on how many tasks you can complete.
Unfortunately, you don’t have control over how many tasks will be made available to you. This is usually determined by your location. And in my experience, there are more tasks for people who live in the US, Canada, or the UK.
If you live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can earn a decent amount. For other countries, the opportunities will be quite few.
Can you use it on a desktop?
Robson is a mobile-only platform. So, to answer the question above, no, you can’t. You will need to use a mobile device, preferably a mobile phone, to earn from it.

The good thing is that their app is available for both Android and iOS devices. At least, that's how it used to be when I first tested the app. However, it seems the iOS version of the app is no longer available. So you can only use it on an Android phone.
If you are an iOS user, I suggest you check out the best money-making apps for iOS instead.
Their app is also very user-friendly. You will easily get used to how it works. Unlike some other GPT apps, it’s also not spammy. You won’t see any ads pop up, which is a good thing, as it can get quite annoying to wait and close these pop-up ads.
Who can join Robson?
You can sign up as a member of this platform regardless of where you live, as it is available globally. You must be at least 18 years of age to join.

If you meet the age requirement, you simply have to fill out their sign-up form. And as you can see in the photo above, the app will ask you for your mobile number. If you are not comfortable sharing your mobile number with them, then unfortunately, this is not for you because there’s no way around it.
When you are done with the sign-up form, Robson will send you an SMS message containing the verification code. Simply input the code in the app's corresponding field to complete the registration. Once you’ve done that, you can now log in to the app and start working on tasks.
Can you get support?
If you have any questions about the app or your account, you can first refer to the FAQ page provided on their website. Their app doesn’t have that feature, so you’ll have to go to their site first.
Their FAQ page is fairly comprehensive, and it discusses most, if not all, of the topics you need to know to properly earn from the app. But if you can’t find the answer you are looking for, you can contact their support team.
There are two ways you can do this. You can either contact them via the contact form on the Help Center page of their website or use the contact link in the app.
Overall, I would say Robson does offer decent support for its members, as it provides a couple of convenient ways to get in touch with its support team. At least, you won’t have a hard time getting assistance if the need arises.
Final Verdict
Robson is a legit GPT app that pays you for completing short tasks, like recording short phrases and participating in phone conversations. It offers a couple of good features, but it also has some limitations you need to be aware of.
Here’s a summary of its pros and cons to wrap up the review. This should give you an overview of what the app has to offer, so you can figure out if it is a good fit for you or not.

Pros:
- Doesn’t have a payout threshold
- Pays quite well
- Offers a convenient payment method (PayPal)

Cons:
- Limited earning opportunities
- It takes a bit of time to get paid
Robson is a decent app to join, in my opinion. It pays well, and it offers a convenient payment method. However, the earning opportunities are quite limited. So, don’t expect to earn a lot from it.
But if you are eligible to join, I would say go for it as long as you don’t mind doing the type of tasks they ask you to do (recording short phrases, participating in phone conversations, etc.).
Now, if you are looking for simpler ways to earn, I would instead suggest you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country. The sites on this list all offer good earning potential and let you earn rewards by simply completing surveys and offers.
And, you will also find a site you can join regardless of where you live.
