StormX Review – Legit or Scam? (Full Details + Rating)

Are you looking for a way to earn cryptocurrency? If so, a platform called StormX claims you can earn cryptocurrency easily. All you have to do is use the app when shopping online.

So, if you frequently shop online, you might be considering using this platform. But before you hit the “Install” button, you need to ensure this is legit, or if it is just another scam to stay away from. After all, you don’t want to waste your time on something that won’t really pay you.

This is where this StormX review comes in. It will verify if it is legit or not and will take a look at everything it has to offer so you know exactly what to expect and can determine if it is truly worth using or not.

So, let’s go ahead and get this review started, shall we?

What is StormX, and what does it offer?

StormX is a cashback platform that will allow you to earn cryptocurrency by availing of their cashback offers and other earning opportunities. It is indeed a legit cashback platform since it will really reward you when you avail of their cashback offers.

Now, to fully understand how StormX works, we have to take a closer look at the earning opportunities it offers. This will also give you an idea of StormX's earning potential. So, here’s how to earn:

Option 1 – Cashback offers

The main way to earn rewards from StormX is by availing of their cashback offers. If you’ve been a member of a cashback site before, this will be very familiar. But if it’s your first time working on a cashback site, let me explain how it works.

There are two ways you can avail of cashback offers from StormX. First, you can use their app to access all available cashback offers. Second, you can install their browser extension to avail of their cashback offers using your browser on your laptop or desktop.

If you are going to use their app, the cashback offers available will look like the photo shown above. To avail of an offer, just press which one you are interested in. You will then see the conditions you need to meet to receive the cashback reward.

Once you are ready to avail of the offer, press the “Activate Crypto Cashback”. You will be taken to the online store you need to shop from to earn the reward. Then, you just have to complete a purchase following the conditions provided by StormX.

Once you’ve completed the purchase, it will count as a shopping trip, where you will be eligible for a cashback reward. However, the reward won’t be credited to your account right away. It usually takes around 45 to 90 days before the reward will be credited to your account.

But why does it take that long? Well, your purchase has to clear the refund period before the shop will give out the reward. This is how cashback sites usually work, and there’s no way around it. But later on, I will explain to you how you can decrease the time it takes for the reward to be credited to your account.

The other method of availing of cashback offers is by using their browser extension. It works on both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers, so it’s pretty versatile.

Once you’ve installed it on your browser, just set it up (I will explain later how to set up your StormX account). When it is ready, you will see all the available cashback offers by clicking the StormX icon in the extensions section of the browser.

Just click any offer you are interested in getting. When you do that, it will take you to the online store you are supposed to shop from. Just complete the purchase, but make sure to follow all the conditions required to receive the reward.

Another way to earn rewards is by completing their paid offers. This opportunity will only be available in their mobile app and not through their browser extension. So, you will need a mobile device for this.

If you’ve been a member of GPT (Get-Paid-To) sites before, then this will be a very familiar opportunity. If this is your first time hearing this term, then let me explain to you how it works.

A paid offer is basically a short task you can do to earn rewards. Usually, an offer will ask you to answer a survey or quiz, play a mobile game, or sign up for a website.

To access the paid offers, open the app and press the “Play” option at the bottom of the screen. You will see all the available offers you can work on. Then, just press any offer, and you will see the instructions you need to follow to complete it.

Make sure you have read and understood what the offer is asking you to do before you start doing it. Because if you miss a step, you will not be able to complete the offer and you won’t earn the reward. Once you’ve completed the offer, the reward will be credited to your account balance right away.

Option 3 – Staking

Staking is an earning opportunity that is pretty common with platforms that deal with cryptocurrency. The idea is that you have to invest in a certain cryptocurrency (StormX tokens) on the platform. It’s like putting money in the bank. The reward you will earn is the interest.

Every week, you will earn a certain amount of StormX tokens. The amount will depend on the number of StormX tokens you’ve invested in their Staking section. To participate in this opportunity, you will have to link a crypto wallet accepted by StormX (Metamask or Trust Wallet). I will talk more about this later.

If you want to participate in their Staking right from the get-go, you will have to purchase StormX tokens from a crypto platform like Binance and transfer them to your crypto wallet that is linked to your StormX account since you have not earned any StormX tokens yet.

That would mean you have to spend a bit of money to buy the StormX tokens. So, if you are not willing to spend any money, I would suggest you work on the other earning opportunities first until you can earn StormX tokens that you can use for Staking. That’s how I would do it.

The reward you will receive for staking StormX tokens will be credited directly to your linked crypto wallet. So you won’t have to do anything. It’s a nice form of passive earning, in my opinion. But you have to wait a while before you can start earning from it if you do not want to invest.

Option 4 – Referral Program

Lastly, you can earn rewards by participating in their referral program. The idea is really simple. You invite people to join StormX by sharing your invite link with them.

You can send your invite link via email and once the person you invited clicks it and sign up as a member of StormX, they will become your referral. But, before you can earn the referral reward, your referral must upgrade their membership first (I will talk about this later).

After they’ve upgraded their membership, they have to hold it for 90 days before they will be eligible to receive the reward. If they’ve done that, you will receive a bonus depending on the membership level they’ve upgraded to.

If they upgraded to a Gold membership, you will receive $40 as a commission. For a Platinum membership, it will be $450, and for Diamond, the reward will be much higher at $1000. While the rewards are pretty significant, it’s quite hard to get them because you will have to convince your referral to upgrade their membership, which will cost money.

So, it’s not the most enticing referral program, in my opinion, because it involves people having to invest quite a lot of money for you to earn. They would have to be very interested in becoming a premium member of StormX for you to earn.

But, if you know a lot of people who might be interested in this, it can be a great way to earn extra income.

How do you get paid?

As mentioned at the beginning of this review, you will be earning cryptocurrency from this platform. So, if you are looking to earn cash from it, you will have to convert the cryptocurrency you will earn into cash. That’s the only way to get cash from this platform.

Now, you will earn StormX tokens (STMX) for every cashback offer you avail of or paid offer you complete. But to make use of your STMX, you will need to create an account from a cryptocurrency wallet supported by StormX.

As shown in the photo above, you can use MetaMask, Trust Wallet, or any crypto wallet that has a web3 enabled browser. I would recommend you go for MetaMask or Trust Wallet though since they are already trusted crypto wallets.

Once you’ve created a crypto wallet, you just have to link it to your StormX account. When you’ve done that, you will now be able to withdraw all your STMX into your crypto wallet. However, in order to withdraw your earnings, you will have to earn at least $10 worth of STMX to do so.

It’s a relatively low threshold, so you shouldn’t have a hard time reaching it. So again, what you need to do is create a MetaMask or Trust Wallet account and link it to your StormX account so you can get your earnings out.

It’s a slightly more complicated payment system than what you find on many other GPT sites, but that’s really how it is if you deal with cryptocurrency. It becomes a lot simpler as time goes by, and you get used to how it works. But if you are a crypto noob, it will take a bit of time to get used to it.

How much money can you make?

The amount you can earn will mostly depend on how often you shop online. Their cashback rates are pretty decent (usually ranging from 5% to 10%), so you will receive a pretty decent amount from your cashback rewards.

They also have a good number of partner stores to shop from but the availability of these stores will depend on your location. If you live in the US, UK, or Canada, there will be more stores to shop from. If you live somewhere else, you will have fewer options.

Earlier, I mentioned that StormX has membership levels you can upgrade to. They have 6 levels (refer to photo above), Purple, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Every level has a certain set of benefits but it’s geared towards more earnings from cashback offers.

To upgrade your membership level, you have to earn the required STMX tokens and store them in your linked crypto wallet (MetaMask or Trust Wallet), or you can buy STMX tokens from any crypto marketplace and transfer them to your linked crypto wallet.

The higher levels will also reduce the reward waiting time from 90 days down to 22 days. The benefits are nice, but it takes a lot of SMTX to unlock these levels.

When you register, you start as a Purple member and the only way you get upgraded to the higher tier is to get more SMTX.  You can naturally progress through the membership levels by just being active on the platform since you will earn SMTX from their cashback and paid offers.

But if you want to reach a certain membership level quickly, you have to buy SMTX using the crypto wallet you linked to your StormX account. On their site, they say that you will need 3,000 STMX to upgrade to the Bronze level, 31,000 STMX for the Silver level, 310,000 STMX for Gold, 3,100,000 STMX for Platinum, and 6,200,000 STMX for Diamond.

That’s a lot of STMX and you can’t hope to earn that just by working on cashback and paid offers. So, if you really want to reach a certain level quickly, you will have to buy STMX. That’s how they can afford to pay you a lot for your referrals because upgrading your membership will cost a lot of money.

At the time of writing this review, 1 STMX is equivalent to $0.020973. So, if you want to upgrade to the Diamond level right away, you will need to buy STMX worth around $130,000, which is not possible for most people. Because you certainly won’t be able to earn 6.2M STMX tokens just from cashback rewards which it would otherwise require.

That’s why I would say their referral program is pretty useless. Your referral has to accumulate at least 310,000 STMX which is worth $6,500 (give or take) if you buy it from the market for you to receive the $40 reward.

That would mean their referral program is essentially very difficult to earn from which would also mean you have one less opportunity you can earn from. That’s why overall, I would say the earning potential of StormX is very low.

Their cashback rates are decent but they don’t have a lot of popular partner stores. So, you won’t always find cashback offers that will be useful for you.

Can you use it on mobile?

As mentioned earlier, StormX has a mobile app you can download. And you will need to use it if you want to maximize your earnings from this platform because this is the only way you can gain access to their paid offers.

Their app can be downloaded from both the Android and iOS app stores. So, compatibility won’t be a problem. The app is also easy to use. You can easily navigate through the sections, and you won’t encounter any pop-up ads, which is a good thing.

Who can join StormX?

StormX is available globally. You can register as a member regardless of where you live. But you have to be at least 18 years of age to sign up.

To sign up, you can use your Google or Facebook account, or you can also use your own email address and password. Once you’ve finished the registration process, I would recommend you link your crypto wallet to your account immediately before you start working on the earning opportunities.
