Web Perspectives claims you can share your opinions and get rewarded. If you are looking for a way to earn extra money online, then you might be tempted to join.
But is Web Perspective legit and a way to earn by sharing your opinion, or is it a waste of time?
After all, there are plenty of scam sites online, and you wouldn’t want to waste your time on a site that will not pay you.
This Web Perspectives review will not only verify the legitimacy of the site but also help you figure out if it is worth joining or not. It will show you everything you need to know so you can decide if this is the right opportunity for you or not.
What is Web Perspectives, and what does it offer?
First of all, let me just say this right away, WebPerspectives.ca is a legit survey site that will reward you for sharing your opinions. In other words, it will pay you to answer surveys.
This does, however, not necessarily mean it is the right option for you.
Web Perspectives is the Canadian version of Valued Opinions. In other parts of the world, it is called Valued Opinions, but in Canada, it is called Web Perspectives. It offers the same thing as Valued Opinion.
Nevertheless, let’s take a closer look at the earning opportunities it offers to understand how the site works and how well you can earn from it. So, here’s how you can earn from Web Perspectives.
Option 1 – Paid Surveys
The bulk of your earnings from this site will come from answering paid surveys. It works just like any survey you find on any other survey site. Just log in to the site, and if there are any surveys available, simply click it.
You will then have to answer a set of qualifying questions to determine if you are included in the target audience the survey is intended for. If you qualify, you get to answer the real survey. Once you complete the survey, you will receive the reward promised, which will be shown before you start the survey, so you know what to expect.
If you fail to qualify, you won’t receive anything. You simply move on to the next available survey. Sometimes, it can take a bit of patience to qualify for surveys. So, don’t expect to always qualify.
Before you can start completing surveys, though, you have to fill out your survey profile (refer to the photo above). Building your profile will allow Web Perspectives to determine which surveys to send your way.
You won’t earn anything for completing these profile surveys, but you have to do it since this will be the only way to ensure you will get survey invites. It’s quite long, so you’ll need to set aside a bit of time.
Option 2 – Focus Groups and Diary Studies
From time to time, you will also be invited to participate in focus groups or diary studies. This earning opportunity isn’t very common, but it offers high rewards. So, if you get invited to participate, make sure to grab the opportunity.
If you are new to focus groups, they are group interviews where you will have to discuss a certain topic. Diary studies, on the other hand, are conducted over a certain period where you are required to provide input every day.
Both can be a fun and interesting way to earn but will require a certain level of commitment and time. But as mentioned, the rewards are higher than paid surveys.
However, the payment will take longer than normal to process. So, don’t expect to get paid right away. You can expect to receive your reward within 6 weeks of completion.

How do you get paid?
Web Perspectives uses a points system for its rewards. So, for every paid survey you complete, you will earn a certain number of points, which will be credited to your Web Perspectives account balance.
You can then exchange the points you’ve earned for certain rewards.
You can, for example, redeem Amazon gift cards, Tim Hortons gift cards, Cineplex gift cards, and a few others.
You also have the option to convert it to cash by redeeming a prepaid Visa card, or you can donate your earnings to charity. Lastly, you can redeem miles for Air Miles.
For gift cards, the valuation of their points is a bit confusing. For example, if you want to redeem an Amazon gift card worth $10, you will need to earn 1,200 points. For a $10 Cineplex gift card, you will only need 1,100 points.
As for redeeming prepaid VISA cards, you can redeem a $20 card for 2,000 points. So, it’s a bit hard to figure out how much each point is worth. But overall, I do like the fact that they have a relatively low payout threshold. It isn’t very hard to reach. So, you will more or less get paid rather quickly.
If you are interested in more sites with a low payout threshold, I suggest you check out the fastest paying sites instead.
How much money can you make?
The amount of money you can earn from Web Perspectives will depend on how often you can complete surveys and how much they pay per survey you complete. For the latter, you will typically earn around 50 to 600 points per survey.
The more rewarding surveys are those that take longer to complete. But realistically speaking, the normal rewards you can expect will be around 100 to 200 points, which isn’t that bad, in my opinion. It’s one of the better-paying survey sites out there.
Unfortunately, you really can’t control how often you can complete surveys. As explained earlier, there is no guarantee you will earn from every survey invite you receive. The best thing you can do is to increase your chances of receiving surveys by completing your profile as soon as possible.
You can also aim to get the highest badge they have to increase your chances of qualifying for surveys. Badges, for your information, are like milestones. As a new member, you will start on the Bronze badge.
You can then work your way up by completing more surveys and completing your profile. Earning the top badge (Diamond) means you will start receiving tailored survey invitations, which, in theory, will increase your chances of qualifying for a survey since the survey invites will be tailored according to your profile.
A higher qualification rate will eventually lead to more earnings. Technically speaking, you won’t earn anything from unlocking these badges, but the increased chances of qualifying for surveys can serve as a good motivation to keep answering surveys.
But overall, even though the site pays a decent amount for every survey, I would still say it has a fairly low earning potential since the earning opportunities are quite limited.
Can you use it on mobile?
Web Perspectives doesn’t have a mobile app, but you can still access their site from a mobile device by simply using a mobile web browser. Their site is optimized for mobile use, so you won’t have a hard time navigating through the site.
You also don’t have to zoom in just to read all the content. This can prove useful because getting to a survey quickly can increase your chances of qualifying. This is because each survey needs a limited number of respondents. Once that number is reached, the survey will stop accepting any respondents.
So, if you can get to the survey as soon as you receive the invite since you can log in from your mobile device, then you are effectively increasing your chances of qualifying for a survey.
Plus, being able to answer surveys from your mobile device will also help you become a more efficient earner since you can do it whenever you have a bit of extra time.
Who can join Web Perspectives?
As mentioned earlier, Web Perspectives is the Canadian version of Valued Opinions. So, you will only be able to register as a member of Web Perspectives if you live in Canada. If you don’t live in Canada, you should join Valued Opinions instead.
Now, if you are a Canadian resident, becoming a member of their panel is relatively easy. You can either use your Facebook account to sign up, or you can use your own login details by filling out their registration form. You also have to be at least 18 years of age or older to join their panel.
Once you are done with the registration process, you can log in to the site and start answering surveys. But as I’ve also explained earlier, you have to make sure you complete your profile first so you can receive survey invites.
I would, however, suggest that you also make sure to join some of the top survey sites in Canada in addition to Web Perspectives to get enough earning opportunities.
Can you get support?
If you have any questions about the site or your account, you can check out their FAQ page. It’s quite comprehensive, so you might find the answers you are looking for.
But if you can’t find the answers, you can email their support team. They also have live chat support, but it only seems to be available during office hours.
Overall, I would say Web Perspectives offers decent support for its members. They make sure they offer a way for you to get in touch with their support team, which is good enough, in my book.
Final Verdict
Web Perspectives is a legit survey site that will pay you for answering surveys, participating in studies, and joining focus groups. It has a couple of nice features, but it also has some limitations you need to be aware of.
So, let’s wrap up this review with a summary of its pros and cons to give you an overview of what the site has to offer. It should help you decide whether this site is worth your time or not.
Pros:
- Offers a simple way to earn
- Has a relatively low payout threshold
- They offer decent rewards per survey you complete
Cons:
- Limited earning opportunities
- Building your profile can take quite a bit of time
If you live in Canada and you are at least 18 years of age, Web Perspectives is a decent option to earn extra cash.
Just don’t expect to earn quickly from it because it offers limited earning opportunities. If you manage to complete focus groups or diary studies, you will be able to earn a significant amount. But this opportunity isn’t very common.
But if you are not eligible to join this site, I would instead suggest you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country. The sites on this list all have good earning potential and also offer simple ways to earn. Plus, you will be able to find a site you can join even if you don’t live in Canada.
If you have any comments, questions, or experiences with the Web Perspectives, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.
Without warning, Webperspectives now requires a valid driver’s license and current photo by mobile in order to cash out. It doesn’t state this anywhere on their website which is dishonest. Please update your review, as others will be stuck like me unable to redeem because I won’t give a corporation by personal information.
Thanks for sharing. But, in general, if you do not want to verify your identity, you should not use any online reward sites as more or less all of them ask for verification before paying. They have to do this to avoid fraud.
You are only part right Mikael. Verification from MOST PANELS does NOT include uploading a current and valid Drivers License. Most panels now have a 2 step verification process which includes sending a conformation code to the email address or a Txt message to a cell phone. I know this because I am a panelist for most of the survey panels in Canada. Shame on Web Perspectives.
I am not saying that all sites ask for a valid drivers license. I am saying that most sites ask for some kind of verification to avoid fraud. You are right that many do it in a different way than asking for personal documents but the exact method each platform use can change from time to time and if you use survey sites, you should be prepared to do some kind of verification to get paid.
This panel has reached out to me regarding their NEW verification policy and said that they have manually verified my account. Maybe they got word that I was sharing my thoughts all over the place so now I find myself backtracking to review sites and updating the status. Initially they closed the door on my claim regarding this issue, but something changed their mind. At least it’s nice to know that they are willing to work with their panelist’s to resolve issues. Enjoy your day folks!
Thanks for the update.
Seem to be fewer surveys these days, but I have been able to cash out multiple times with this provider and at least the surveys have decent point levels and are interesting to take. Generally go for the Virtual visa reward or Tim Horton’s. I do find it odd that they don’t seem to have several denominations for the TH card, all I’ve ever been able to get is the $10 card.
Didn’t have to send them any ID for my most recent reward.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
