Bulbshare is an app that claims you can earn rewards by connecting with brands and causes you care about.

The question is, is Bulbshare legit? Does it do what it claims it does?

What is Bulbshare, and what does it offer?

Bulbshare is a unique app that is a social media platform and a survey site all rolled into one. The reason why I say this is the way you have to interact with brands and causes. Later on, I will discuss how it works.

It is indeed a legit app since you will be rewarded for sharing your opinion about certain things. But earning from this app isn’t as easy as answering a question like you normally would on survey sites.

The earning opportunity – Briefs

Brief is the term Bulbshare uses for the survey-like opportunities it offers.

I say survey-like because it’s not the usual survey you will encounter on survey sites. Yes, there will be questions you need to answer, but you have to do other things like take a photo or upload a video to complete it. Paid surveys on survey sites usually don’t require you to do that.

When you log in to the app, you will immediately see all the briefs you can participate in. Just choose which one you are interested in and tap it. You will usually see a short video intro or photo intro for the brief.

If you want to take part in this brief, you have to swipe up. Then, you will be asked a bunch of questions where you just have to swipe left or right to submit your answer or just choose the answer from a list.

Then, as mentioned, you will need to either submit a photo or upload a video to complete the brief.

Here’s the thing, though. Not all briefs will offer rewards. Most of them don’t. But you have to do them anyway because that will be the only way to be invited to participate in paid opportunities.

You see, when Bulbshare recognizes that you are a very active member, it will start sending you invites to participate in paid briefs. These will be the ones you can earn from. So, all those briefs you answered before will not be wasted.

The paid briefs work the same way as normal briefs. You just do the same thing. Answer the questions and upload a photo or video. Then, afterward, you will receive compensation. Later on, I will discuss how you will get paid.

Sometimes, you will also encounter briefs that have a padlock icon. This is a brief that you don’t have access to because it will only be for members who are included in the brand’s or organization’s community of creators or otherwise called a channel. Some channels are exclusive, which is where you will see the padlock icon. To join these channels, you have to be invited by Bulbshare or get the channel code.

However, there will also be channels that will be open to all. But, from my experience, this kind of channel doesn’t really offer a lot of paid briefs. So, the exclusive channels are your best bet for finding paid briefs.

This is really where most of your earnings will come from. So, the goal is to join an exclusive channel to get paid because that’s where most of the paid briefs can be found. That is why, if you are looking to earn, this app is not the most ideal app to use. Because there’s no guarantee you will earn, especially when you are just starting.

You will have to invest a lot of time to start earning. But if you just value sharing your opinion, which can be used to improve products and services, this can be a decent option.

How do you get paid?

When you complete a paid brief, you will earn a certain amount. And the good thing about this app is, you don’t have to reach a threshold to withdraw your earnings. You will automatically get paid via PayPal every time you complete a paid brief.

It will take around a day or two for the compensation to show up in your PayPal account. But sometimes, it will be faster. Just make sure to take note of all the paid briefs you’ve completed so you can track if you’ve received your compensation or not.

Overall, the payment system of the app is really easy to understand and I like the fact that they use PayPal as the payment method because it is the most convenient option around, in my opinion.

How much money can you make?

As explained earlier, not all briefs offer rewards, and it takes some time before you can start earning from this app. But they do pay a decent amount every time you get offered to participate in a paid brief. You can earn around $5 to $10 per paid brief you complete, which is more than your average paid survey.

But, as you already know, there’s no guarantee you will always be invited to participate in paid briefs, especially when you are just starting. That is why I would say the app has a low earning potential even though it pays well. It’s simply not a good app to use to earn regularly.

However, it is a decent app to use if you just want your opinion to be heard.

Can you use it on a desktop?

Bulbshare is a mobile-only platform, so you will need a mobile device to earn. But the good thing is that the Bulbshare app is pretty easy to use. So you won’t have a hard time getting used to how it works.

To download the app, you can go to the Android or iOS app store. After you’ve installed the app, you just have to go through the registration process, which I will talk about in the next section.

The good thing about Bulbshare being a mobile-only app is that it will be easy to upload photos and videos. You can just use your mobile device’s camera. That is also the reason why it would be best if it is a mobile-only platform, in my opinion.

Who can join Bulbshare?

One good thing about Bulbshare is that it is available globally, so you can register as a member regardless of where you live. But you have to be at least 18 years of age to join.

To sign up, you have to first install the app. Then, you can either use your Facebook account to log in or set up your login credentials. Once you are logged in to the app, you can start working on briefs.  

But as I’ve explained above, it will take some time before you can start earning from this app. So, don’t expect to earn immediately after you’ve registered.

Can you get support?

Here’s the thing: Bulbshare has a website, but the information shown on their site is really only intended for Bulbshare clients. So, you will hardly get any useful info about the app there.

It doesn’t even have a link to where you can download the app. If you want to download it, you have to go to Google Play or the iOS app store and search for it.

However, it does have an FAQ page that talks about the app briefly, so you might find the answers to your questions on that page. Now, if you can’t find what you are looking for, you can contact their support team by clicking the message icon in the lower right corner of their website.

It will open up their contact form, and all you have to do is fill out the necessary fields and submit your question. You can also open the app and go to the account settings and press “App Info & Support”. Then, press the support option, and it will open your email client, and Bulbshare’s support email address will be provided immediately. Just type in your question and hit send.

Overall, I would say the app has a decent support system in place for its members since it offers a convenient way for you to get in touch with their support team. But I do wish they would show more on their website about what the app has to offer.

Final Verdict

Bulbshare is an app that will allow you to earn by sharing your opinion about brands and causes. It has a couple of interesting features, but it also has some limitations you need to consider.

That’s why I don’t recommend you use this app to earn extra cash. There are far better options out there where you can earn regularly. But, if you just want to share your opinion about brands and causes, then I would say you should go for this app.
