There are many great survey sites you can join to earn some extra cash by sharing your opinion. One site that claims to offer you this opportunity is SurveyWorld.
But is SurveyWorld legit or a scam to stay away from?
I have tested the site myself and have compared it to the hundreds of other paid survey sites I have tested, and let me just reveal right away that it is a bit unusual, and it can be confusing to find out exactly how it works.
In this SurveyWorld review, I will give you all the details so you know exactly what to expect and if it will be worth your time or not.
What is SurveyWorld, and what does it offer?
There is not much background information to be found about SurveyWorld.me. All you can see is that the company is located in the Netherlands. However, you can still join from many other countries (more about this later).
I have seen some confusion as the name is very close to iSurveyWorld, but that is a completely different platform with something different to offer.
This review focuses on the website SurveyWorld.me – just to avoid any confusion about the two websites.
When you first come to SurveyWorld, it seems like it is just like any other survey site.
However, because I have tested hundreds of survey sites, I right away spotted some things in the way they describe themselves that made me suspect that it was probably not so much a survey site but more a survey aggregator (meaning a site that just refers you to other sites).
This is not very clear on their front page if you have not taken a lot of paid surveys before. But I did some more digging, and somewhere on one of the pages, I found this statement:
When I first tested SurveyWolrd, I found this statement below a sign-up form (more about where to find that later), and this shows that it is NOT a survey site where you can earn.
Now it has been moved, so the statement is on the front page of the website, and it is nice to see they have moved this statement to make it more transparent what it offers. However, if you are not used to joining survey panels, it will likely still be confusing.
To make it clear, SurveyWorld does NOT offer any paid opportunities itself, but it is instead a site that promotes external survey sites, and it gets paid to promote these. There is nothing wrong with this, but it might not be clear when you first come to the site that this is all it is, and I think this is important to know so you do it with the right expectations if you decide to join.
But to find out if it will even be worth joining for you, let's look deeper into what you then get out of joining.

What happens when you join?
So now you know that you will not actually be able to take any surveys on SurveyWorld but just get links to actual survey sites. Furthermore, you can not even as such join SurveyWorld.
There is no member area, but you can at times, find a landing page you can use to sign up. Most likely, you will encounter this landing page through paid ads on Facebook or other platforms, as that seems to be the way SurveyWorld tries to promote itself.
Once you have filled out a few questions, you just get to a link.
This is a promotional link you can then use to join the site they are promoting at that moment.
In the image above, you can see they are promoting the platform OpinionWorld. This is definitely a legit survey site and all other platforms I have seen them promote are also legit.
So it seems they are only promoting legit survey sites, which is, of course, great.
But, in my opinion, it is still quite confusing why you have to answer a few questions in something that looks like a survey only to get to a promotional link.
This is not completely transparent, in my opinion. If you do not have experience with paid surveys, you might think you are taking surveys on SurveyWorld, but you just need to understand that it only works as a mediator.
Who can join?
In theory, you can join SurveyWorld from a lot of different countries. On the website itself, they say it is available in 70+ countries. It was a lot fewer countries when I first tested it, so it seems like it keeps expanding.
However, they do not mention exactly which countries these are. Also, remember that it is not a panel you can join as there is no members area.
These are instead the number of countries they have promotional links for. If you decide you would still like to give it a try, it is, however, not always easy to find out how to join.
How to join?
If you decide you would like to receive the promotional links from SurveyWorld and sign up, it is not as easy as it is on most sites. There is no sign-up button or form on the website.
Instead, they have promotions where they send people to certain landing pages, so you may have encountered them like this.
In other cases, your only option for joining is to contact them, and they will then send you a link to their landing page if they have any promotional links in your country at that moment.
In my opinion, this is a lot of hassle just to get a link to a page that will just end up taking you to a promotional link. It is a lot easier to just go directly to the best paid survey sites and sign up there.
Can you get support?
Since you cannot always find a way to sign up on SurveyWorld.me, you might need to get ahold of their support if you want access to the sites they promote.
The only way you can contact them is through their Facebook page. I have tried contacting them myself, and I must say I got a quick reply.
But just be aware that their support can not help you with anything related to actually getting paid. They are just referring you to other survey sites.
If you have any technical issues or problems getting paid, you need to contact the survey sites directly. SurveyWorld will NOT help you with things like this.
Final verdict
SurveyWorld is quite different from many other survey sites. In fact, it is not so much an actual paid survey site, even though it might seem like it at first.
But let's finish this review by summing up the pros and cons so you can get a better overview before deciding to join or not.
Pros:
- Their support responds
- They only promote legit survey sites
Cons:
- It is not very clear what the site offers
- You cannot earn on the site itself
- You do not know who is behind the platform
- Difficult to find a joining form
Honestly, I do not see many reasons to join SurveyWorld, even if you manage to get a link for their joining form.
All it will do is send you a promotional link after you have answered a few questions. It is an unnecessary extra step to take if you would like to get paid for taking surveys.
In addition to this, I do not think it is very clear on the website that this is what they really offer. There is nothing wrong with them promoting other survey sites as they only promote legit sites – it would just have been better if they had been more transparent about how it works, in my opinion.
For these reasons, I do not think SurveyWorld is worth it. If you want to take paid surveys, you can instead check out this list of great sites in your country. That list will give you a quick overview so you can quickly find several sites to join directly.
If you have any comments, questions, or experiences with SurveyWorld, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.
Thankyou for your invaluable help. It saves me from alot of unnecessary bullshit so what you do, for me, is priceless.
Thankyou much muchly.
Jo.
Happy to help.
Love your salutation, my dad often said “thank you muchly”?
From personal experience, the Facebook ads from surveyworld.me are merely bait-and-switch scams. You’re promised “you can keep the products you test at home” but are, instead, diverted to standard survey sites where you’re paid the equivalent of $3/hr to fill out surveys after sharing a bunch of personal information. There are no products, there is no testing at home. It’s just answering questions for variable payouts. My personal opinion: Avoid.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. I agree with you on the ads, as I also explain in the review above.
