If you've ever searched for ways to earn extra money online, you've probably come across dozens or even hundreds of survey sites, depending on how much time you’ve spent researching. And while many of them are legitimate, joining as many as possible is usually not the best strategy.
In fact, one of the biggest mistakes beginners make is signing up for too many platforms at once. This often leads to wasted time, missed opportunities, and frustration when the earnings don't match expectations.
Over the years, I've tested hundreds of survey sites and GPT sites, and I've found that using the right combination of platforms is usually much more effective than relying on a single site or trying to use everything available.
This approach is what I call survey site stacking. In this guide, I'll show you a beginner-friendly strategy, explain why it works, and share how you can use it to maximize your earnings without spending hours every day jumping between different platforms.
What is survey stacking?
Survey site stacking is a strategy where you use several earning platforms that complement each other instead of relying on just one site.
The idea is simple.
Different platforms tend to excel at different things. Some offer a steady flow of surveys, others are great for GPT offers and microtasks, while some can earn you a bit of passive income in the background. When you combine these types of platforms, you can create a system that gives you more earning opportunities throughout the day.
For example, let's say you log in to your favorite survey site and there aren't many surveys available. If that's the only platform you use, your earning session is essentially over.
But if you also have a GPT site and a passive earning app as part of your stack, you can switch to other opportunities instead of wasting time waiting for new surveys to appear.
Think of it like this: instead of putting all your eggs in one basket, you're spreading your earning opportunities across a few carefully chosen platforms.
However, survey site stacking doesn't mean joining every site you can find. In fact, that would defeat the purpose. The goal is to build a small stack of reliable platforms that work well together and help you reach the payout threshold faster.
Why most beginners earn less than they should
The one thing I've learned after testing hundreds of survey and GPT sites over the years is that this kind of earning opportunity will not compare to a full-time job. So, you should not expect to earn that kind of amount by answering surveys.
That being said, it can be a good source of extra income if done properly. And from what I have noticed, many beginners don't earn as much as they potentially could. And surprisingly, it usually isn't because they are using bad platforms. Instead, it often comes down to how they use the sites they join.
I have made a video explaining exactly how you should go about your survey stacking. But if you prefer reading, you can just scroll down below the video to keep learning about how to stack survey sites.

A common mistake beginners make is signing up for too many platforms right away. While it might seem like more sites will automatically lead to more earnings, the opposite is often true.
Based on my experience, when you're trying to keep track of 10, 15, or even 20 different sites, it becomes difficult to stay active on any of them. Another issue is that many people rely on just one platform.
The problem with this approach is that survey opportunities can vary from day to day. Some days, there might be plenty of surveys available. Other days, there may be very few. If you only use one site, your earning opportunities can become quite limited.
Many beginners also spend too much time chasing the highest-paying opportunities while ignoring smaller tasks that can add up over time. Consistency is often more important than finding the occasional high-paying survey. This is the biggest lesson I’ve learned from doing surveys for many years.
How do you build your stack?
When deciding which platforms to include in your survey site stack, there are a few things you need to pay attention to. Based on what I’ve learned over the years, your approach to building your stack should be systematic.
You can, for example, create a spreadsheet of sites/platforms you are testing, so you can easily see an overview of all the sites/platforms you’ve joined. This will make it easier for you to determine which sites suit you best.
Another thing you must pay attention to is which type of survey best fits your profile. You can take note of patterns across different platforms to figure out which type of surveys are a better fit for your profile. In my experience, this is the best way to improve your chances of qualifying for survey sites.
You can also compare pay rates, so you can find out which sites/platforms offer higher rewards. Aside from that, you can also take note of the payout methods offered by each site/platform. I have found that this factor can significantly influence which platforms or sites you should stick with.
Of course, you’ll have to choose those that offer the most convenient payout methods for you, whether that would be PayPal, bank transfer, gift cards, etc.
By considering these factors, you’ll have better success at earning from survey and GPT sites.
How many survey sites should you use?
If you are new to survey and Get-Paid-To sites, I usually recommend joining around 5 to 7 sites. That way, you’ll gain access to a much wider range of surveys.
You see, most survey sites have survey partners that provide surveys for their members. So, if you join fewer than 5 sites, you’ll limit yourself to the survey partners and features of just a couple of platforms/sites.
And if you join more than 7 sites, you might risk encountering overlapping survey providers, which will eventually happen, since many sites share the same survey partners. You need to avoid this because answering the same survey from different platforms can lead to issues with your account.
Some sites will ban you right away when this happens. This is why it is also important to take note of surveys that you have already answered, because if you encounter them on other survey sites, you should avoid them immediately to avoid getting banned.
So, 5 to 7 survey sites are definitely the sweet spot, so to speak. You can always add more later, once you feel like you can handle more. Personally, I’m a member of significantly more survey sites than that, since I have years of experience dealing with them.
Which survey sites should you join?
So, the question now is, which survey sites should you join? I’ll list 7 options, but not all of them are purely survey sites. Some of them are Get-Paid-To sites that also offer surveys.
What’s great about GPT sites, in general, is that they offer more ways to earn. You can play games, complete offers, watch videos, and more to earn. So, you will essentially not run out of ways to earn every day, even if there are no surveys available.
I have tested all of these sites, so they are all guaranteed to be legit and free to join. It’s not a prioritized list, so you can just choose which ones best suit your preferences.
Option 1 – PaidViewpoint
PaidViewpoint is a good survey site to join because you will never be offered a survey you will not qualify for. This means you will not waste any time trying to click on surveys you won’t earn from.
It pays via PayPal, and the threshold for withdrawing your earnings for the first time will be $15. It is available worldwide, but it is only worth it if you live in an English-speaking country.
It also has an app that works on both Android and iOS devices.
Option 2 – Madai
Madai is a survey site that lets you earn rewards by answering surveys. It has a decent number of surveys available, and every survey pays well.
What makes it a great option is that it is serious about matching you with the right survey opportunities. As a result, there will be fewer disqualifications, which means you won’t waste a lot of time answering surveys you won’t qualify for.
You can get paid via PayPal, Amazon gift cards, and Bitcoin vouchers. The threshold will only be $5. Madai is a global platform, so you can sign up as a member regardless of where you live.
Option 3 – Gemsloot
Gemsloot is a GPT site that lets you earn rewards by playing games, completing offers, answering surveys, and more. It is one of the highest-paying GPT sites I have tested over the years, which is why I recommend you join it.
It also offers several payout options, including PayPal or Venmo (US only). You can also convert your rewards into various gift cards, prepaid debit cards, crypto, and game currencies. The payout threshold will depend on the payout method you choose, but it starts at only $0.50.
It is available globally, and it has an app that works on Android devices.
Option 4 – SolPulse
SolPulse is a crypto-based platform. If you don’t mind earning crypto instead of cash, this can be a great option because it offers many ways to earn.
You can answer surveys and complete offers to earn. You can also earn passively by staking your earnings. You only need a Solana wallet to sign up as a member.
It is also available worldwide, or at least in countries where crypto is not banned.
Option 5 – Branded Surveys
Branded Surveys is a survey site that is only available in the US, UK, and Canada. So, if you live somewhere else, this is not for you.
It has a good number of surveys available, and it pays well per survey. You can get paid directly into your bank account or via PayPal. You can also redeem various gift cards. The payout threshold is only $5, which is quite easy to hit.
It also has an app that works on both Android and iOS devices.
Option 6 – Pawns
Pawns is a great platform to join because it will pay you for sharing your internet connection with its clients. You can also earn by answering surveys and completing offers.
You can get paid via PayPal, Bitcoin, Payoneer, Visa, or virtual gift cards. You can withdraw your earnings once you reach $5, which is a fairly low payout threshold.
It is available globally, so signing up shouldn’t be a problem. It also has an app that works on both Android and iOS devices.
Option 7 – YouGov
YouGov is a well-known and straightforward survey site that lets you earn by completing surveys. It’s a great option because the surveys it offers usually can’t be found on other survey sites. Most topics are about current events, so your opinion will hold high value.
The exact payout options depend on the country you live in. In some countries, you can exchange your points for gift cards or products. In other countries, you can get paid in cash via PayPal or prepaid Visa cards.
The payout threshold varies from country to country. It is available in more than 60 countries, and it has an app that works on both Android and iOS devices.
Final Thoughts
Now that you have a great combination of sites to start with, here is how I suggest you approach survey stacking to get results.
First, give each site a few weeks before you decide if it is worth it, unless you don’t really get any surveys after a few days of working on it.
You need time to build your profile, so you must be patient.
Second, keep an overview of the sites that you have joined. It can be a spreadsheet that takes note of how much you’ve earned and how often you are checking in.
By doing this, you can easily determine which sites are working and which ones aren’t.
Another thing you need to keep in mind is to pay attention to the payout methods being offered by the site before you invest your time into it.
That’s because payout methods vary from country to country and change over time. So, it’s always a good idea to take note of this as well.
And lastly, it is important to remember that survey site stacking isn't about finding a secret formula that will suddenly generate huge earnings. The real advantage is that it helps you make better use of your time and avoid many of the common mistakes beginners make.
And if you know of other good strategies for survey site stacking, I would love to hear from you in the comments below.
