Bigspot.com at first looks like a great website to earn some extra money by taking paid surveys.
You have maybe even seen the Bigspot TV commercials claiming this is possible.
But is Bigspot.com a scam, or is it really a legit and easy way to get paid for your opinion?
Let me reveal right away that you are NOT told the full truth, and it might not offer what you would expect after visiting the site or seeing the TV commercials.
In this BigSpot.com review, I will give you an inside look, and show you know what the site really offers – this is something you NEED to know before joining.
What is BigSpot.com and what does it offer?
When you first come to BigSpot.com it is a very clean and pleasant page to look at. There is just a little drawing that shows that you can join, take surveys, and get paid. And then there is a sign-up form.
It all at first looks like it is a very simple and easy way to get paid for taking surveys. Bigspot even at times runs TV commercials to show it is a great platform to join to give your opinion and get paid for it.
However, I have learned from testing and using hundreds of paid surveys sites always to take a closer look before getting too excited.
So I wanted to read more about what Bigspot surveys offers. That is however not really possible at BigSpot.com.
You therefore have to sign up to really see what the site offers. At most legit survey sites, you can usually see what kind of rewards, background info about the website etc. before you join, so I was a bit suspicious even before joining Bigspot.
In general, it is a bad sign when you cannot find any real information about a site before you join. But I still signed up, because I was curious and wanted to check it out, and also so I could make this Bigspot review, and let you know what it is about.
After joining I found out there are good reasons why you cannot find more information on Bigspot.com before joining.

What happens after you join BigSpot.com?
Usually when you join a paid survey site, you will get access to a members area, and then you can start taking paid surveys here (in some cases you can also find other earning methods), or you will start receiving email invitations, when there is a new survey available.
This is however NOT what you will get at Bigspot.com.
Below I have created a video, where I show you inside Bigspot, so you can see for yourself, what you really get. You can also read all the details below the video:
The sign-up process itself is very easy. You just have to fill in your email address, birthday, gender, and country, and that is it. You do not even have to select a password, confirm your subscription, fill out any profile info or anything else. That is itself is also a bit strange.
So what do you then get after you join? Well, to be honest you get very little.
All that is available once you join is a list of survey sites you can join. There is nothing else. No further information about the survey sites, no reviews, no explanations about what the different survey sites offer.
You just get a list with links to survey sites where you then have to go and register again, if you want to join any of the survey sites BigSpot.com suggests. And it is not even a very comprehensive list, and no in-depth info to help you find the ones that are best for you.
Actually, Bigspot does say this is what you will get already on the front page, if you look very carefully. The second step the show in the small drawing says you will get matched with companies that need your opinion.
This means that you will not be able to take surveys on Bigspot itself, but will just be send to other sites that actually offer this.
In my opinion this is however not very clear, and if you are not used to taking surveys or joining paid survey sites, you would very likely think this means you can earn on Bigspot.com right?
This is however not the case. It might sound a bit strange, and why would anyone make a site just with a list of a few links, and where you have to join to see this list and nothing else?
Bigspot.com has good reasons for this, as I will explain now.
What does BigSpot.com get out of your membership?
Even though it might at first seem strange that anybody would make a site like this, there can be good reasons for that – from BigSpot.com’s point of view. Not from your point of view as a user.
First of all, you give your email address to join. They can then use this to send further info and try to get you to come back to their page and use their offers.
I must however say that even though that is often how similar websites use your email, that is in my experience not the case with BigSpot. I have not received any emails trying to lure me back to their page or to try to get me to sign up for offers. Kind of strange actually.
They can of course also choose to sell your information to other sites that can then spam you (even though that is illegal). I have read some other reviews and Bigspot.com complaints that claim this is the main purpose of the website.
I have however not seen any proof that this is true. It might be, but it cannot be proved, and I do not want to make claims like this that I do not know whether is true or not.
From my experience with survey sites and internet marketing, I think that there is another reason why they have this site, and it is not to collect and sell your information.
The reason is to get you as a member, because that can make them money. Not by selling your info, but by getting you to sign up for survey sites through their website.
By creating a membership, the site is trying to create trust, and a sense of commitment, and then you are more likely to click the links on their page after you have signed up. Because you already took the first step of signing up to their site.
If you then click one of the links on their site, they will get a commission from the site they are referring you to, if you join.
There is as such nothing wrong with getting commissions like this to refer people. I also use links like this sometimes on my website. It is a way to pay for the costs that are related to running a website and providing useful information.
But the problem in my opinion is that BigSpot.com provides no value to the users of their website at all, so why should they get a commission?
They do not help you find the best sites for you or give you in-depth info about what the sites they promote offers.
It is nothing but a very short and superficial list and a website meant to get you to use their links, so they can get a commission of the offers they promote.
That is just a waste of internet space, if you ask me:-)
How do you get paid?
So, can you at least get paid for doing surveys on BigSpot, and how do you get paid?
You will not get paid at BigSpot.com itself. By looking at the website and the simple steps it shows, it definitely looks like you can get paid there.
This is however not the case. You can earn by going to the websites they provide links for, and then sign up there and do surveys on those sites.
But BigSpot.com does not as such give you any surveys, and therefore also do not pay you. That is also one of the reasons that you cannot find any information about what kind of rewards they are offering before you join.
They are not offering any – they are just offering links to websites that then offer this.
But in general paid survey sites do offer great rewards. There are many sites that pay in cash through PayPal, you can earn Amazon e-certificates, get prepaid Visa cards, Bitcoin, gift cards, and more.
So you definitely can earn some nice rewards on surveys sites – just not on Bigspot.com.
Is it worth signing up for BigSpot.com?
In my opinion the short answer is NO.
I do not see any reason to sign up for Bigspot. I have seen and reviewed many similar survey aggregators, as these types of sites are called, and they usually provide very little value.
It reminds me of PanelPlace that is using the same methods, but at least provide a bit more useful information. In my opinion, still a waste of time, but at least they provide some more value to the members (though not a lot).
I do not have a problem with them making money by promoting offers. We all need to make a living, and it takes a lot of time and effort to run and develop a website, and this would not be possible without also earning money.
My problem is however that the site offers no value at all. In their defense, I must say that I have only seen legit survey sites promoted by Bigspot.com. But it is a very short list, and you get no further info to help you.
So why would you sign up? You will just get a few links and nothing else. No real valuable information. This can easily be found many other places without having to sign up.
Final verdict – scam or legit?
BigSpot.com is not a scam, as it is not trying to trick money from you and it is nothing like the outright survey scam sites that unfortunately exist.
This does however not mean Bigspot.com is worth joining, and from this review you can see, I do not think it is. But let’s sum up the pros and cons, so you can get a better overview and judge for yourself.
- Free to join
- Only promotes legit survey sites
- No real members area
- You cannot earn on the site
- Has no in-depth info
- Very short list of survey sites
- Makes it look like you can earn on the site before you join
I honestly do not have many positive things to say about Bigspot.com. At least it is free to join, and the survey sites that I have seen they are referring to are legit and reliable survey sites. I have not seen them referring to any of the scam survey sites.
It is just completely unnecessary to sign up for and a waste of time. I do not as such have a problem with a member site like this.
But if you have a member site like this, it should be to provide some real valuable information to your members. Not just to give them superficial information or a couple of links to make a bit of commission yourself.
I also do not like the approach that you have to sign up and give your email, before knowing what you sign up for. If you have something of real value to offer, you would not mind telling people what they sign up for, before they sign up right?
That the site is not transparent is one of the reasons there are numerous Bigspot.com complaints online, and that i also do NOT recommend it.
So BigSpot.com is not a scam, but in my opinion also NOT worth signing up for. You can find list of survey sites many other places without having to sign up, and at the same time get more in-depth information, so you know what you are signing up for.
If you want to make some extra cash by taking paid surveys, this is definitely possible, and there are many great sites that offer this. You can check out the list of the top paying survey sites in your country to get started easily.
All of the sites on this list offers you to actually earn and get paid on the site itself without any BS.
If you have any comments, questions, thoughts or any experiences with BigSpot.com yourself, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.
- Money/time ratio
BigSpot.com is just a collection of links to survey sites – and not a very good list. It does not provide any valuable information, and you cannot do any surveys on the site itself. It does no harm, but is also just a complete waste of time to join in my opinion.
