If you like the idea of earning rewards by playing games, answering surveys, and completing small tasks, then Freeplay will likely catch your attention. It claims to be an app where you can turn your free time into gift cards and cash rewards.
And to be fair, this type of platform can work. I have tested many legit Get-Paid-To (GPT) apps that reward users for completing offers over the years. But that doesn’t automatically mean Freeplay is worth your time. And based on my testing, there are a few important things you need to know about it.
So, before joining, it is important to understand how the platform works, how you can earn, and what kind of experience users are reporting. In this Freeplay review, I will give you an in-depth, honest look at what it offers, so you know exactly what to expect before installing it.
Then, you can decide whether it is worth using.
What is Freeplay, and what does it offer?
Freeplay is a Get-Paid-To (GPT) app that lets you earn rewards in various ways. It is indeed legit because you can really earn rewards from the opportunities it offers.
However, that doesn’t necessarily mean you should install it. And as I’ve mentioned earlier, there are a couple of important things you need to know about this app.
Now, the first step we’re going to take is to examine the earning opportunities it offers, so you will see a snapshot of how good it really is. I have made a video explaining how their earning opportunities work. You can also read the full details below the video.

Option 1 – Playing Games
One way you can earn from Freeplay is by playing its featured mobile games. To access this opportunity, you must click on “More Ways to Earn”. Now, I’m not exactly sure why they wouldn't just say “Play Games” immediately, so you will know what you need to do to earn.
This can just make the opportunity a bit confusing, in my opinion. Once you click that section, you will see all the available games you can play (refer to the photo below).

To start the earning process, pick a game you want to play and install it. Once it is installed, it will appear in the games section of Freeplay. You must make sure to open the game from the Freeplay app. Otherwise, Freeplay won’t be able to track your progress and award you with the proper rewards.
Each game will have a set of tasks you must complete to earn rewards. Most of the time, these tasks will just ask you to reach a certain milestone in the game (like reaching a level). Sometimes, these tasks will even ask you to make in-game purchases.
From what I’ve observed during testing, these types of tasks offer the highest rewards. However, you must carefully weigh whether the reward you receive will be profitable, because not all of them will be, in my experience. Some are worth spending money on, but they are quite rare.
So, you must be able to discern whether those tasks are profitable. After completing a task, you will be able to claim the respective rewards, which will be in the form of points. Later, I will talk about its payout system.
You don’t have to complete all the tasks of a game. You can move on to a different game if you feel like the tasks remaining are not worth your time anymore.
Now, the biggest thing I observed while testing this opportunity is that the rewards you will receive are below average. Compared to the most popular GPT sites and apps, the rewards it offers are a bit low. So, it’s important to consider this when you decide if you should install it.
Option 2 – Paid Offers
Another way you can earn rewards is by completing paid offers. For this opportunity, you must click on the “Deal of the Day” section. Again, I’m not sure why they would name this opportunity that way. It would have been better if they had just said “Offers”, so you would know immediately what you would be dealing with.

When you click this section, you will see all the paid offers you can complete to earn rewards. These paid offers will come from an offerwall that Freeplay has partnered with.
Most of the time, these paid offers will also just ask you to play mobile games or install other mobile apps. Each offer will have a set of instructions you must follow, and you must follow them to the letter. Otherwise, you might not be able to complete the offer and earn the reward.
After completing the offer, you will receive the reward promised. There aren’t a lot of paid offers available compared to other GPT sites and apps, so your earnings from this opportunity will be a bit limited.
Option 3 – Paid Surveys
Lastly, you can earn more rewards by answering surveys. When I tested the app, I had to click the section labeled “Shopping Habits Survey” to view all the available surveys I could answer. Again, they should have just labeled it “Surveys” to avoid confusion, in my opinion.

When you are on the surveys page, you’ll see all the available surveys you can answer. Simply click a survey and go through the qualifying process. If you qualify, you get to answer the actual survey. If you don’t qualify, just move on to the next survey available.
Once you complete a survey, you’ll receive the reward promised. Now, the biggest thing I noticed about this opportunity is that most surveys also offer below-average rewards. Later, I will discuss what this implies.

How do you get paid?
Here’s the biggest issue I found with Freeplay. As explained earlier, you’ll earn points from the earning opportunities it offers. You can use these points to redeem various rewards. At least, that’s usually how GPT apps and sites work.
However, when you go to the payout section, you won’t know exactly what rewards you can redeem unless you’ve earned enough points. The problem is that you also won’t know how many points you need to earn to see the payout options because there’s no information regarding the payout threshold in the payout section.
This was a bit surprising to me because, normally, on other GPT sites and apps, you will immediately see all the payout options available, as well as the payout threshold you must reach to redeem a reward.
If you were to ask me, this is just bad design and negatively affects the overall user experience. And personally, I never got to the point where I could see all the available payout options, and in the next section, you will understand why.
So, if you prefer sites and apps that will let you know immediately how you can withdraw your earnings, I suggest you check out the top sites that pay via PayPal instead.
How much money can you make?
The amount you can earn from Freeplay will mostly depend on how much time you are willing to invest in it. But as I’ve mentioned above, most of its earning opportunities offer low rewards compared to the great GPT sites and apps I have tested.
So, the time-to-money ratio is quite low. This means it will take a long time before you can earn enough points to redeem a significant amount in rewards. This is the biggest reason why I never even bothered to reach the payout threshold to find out what payout options it offers.
It simply isn’t worth the time, in my opinion, because the earning potential is very low. It also doesn’t help that the app is not user-friendly.
You are better off investing your time in apps or sites that offer higher rewards. That way, you can quickly earn a significant amount.
Can you use it on a desktop?
Freeplay is a mobile-only platform. It has a website, but it only talks about the app. So, you will need to use your phone to earn from it.

As for the app, it works on both Android and iOS devices, so compatibility won’t be an issue. But as I’ve explained above, the user experience it provides isn’t really that good.
The sections for the earning opportunities are a bit confusing. You won’t immediately know what you have to do to earn unless you click it. In my opinion, this is just poor design. Most of the apps and sites I have tested will let you know immediately what their earning opportunities are.
So, I’m not exactly sure why Freeplay would do it differently.
Who can join Freeplay?
Freeplay’s app or its website doesn’t tell you exactly which countries it is available in, but from what I can see, it is available more or less worldwide.

To sign up as a member, you must install the app first. Then, when you open the app for the first time, it will ask you to go through the registration process, where you’ll have to provide your mobile number first.
I personally don’t like apps and sites that ask for this first before any login details, like email address and password, which is another reason why it’s not something I would recommend other people use. It’s fine when you are given the option to add it later, but making it the first requirement to sign up is a bit of a deal-breaker for me.
After signing up, you can log in to the app and start earning.
Can you get support?
The app doesn’t have a Help or FAQ section you can check out if you have questions. So, you’ll need to contact support if you encounter an issue or have questions. The problem is that the app doesn’t provide a way to do that either.
I had to check their Google Play page just to get their support contact information. Apparently, you can email them at support@ellbeeapplications.com for any inquiries.
So, overall, I would say the app doesn’t provide good support for its members, even though it offers a way to contact support. They should have at least provided a contact link in the app and an FAQ section to minimize the need to contact support.
Final Verdict
Freeplay is a GPT app that rewards you for playing games, completing offers, and answering surveys. It doesn’t have many great features, only a few disadvantages you need to know about.
To wrap up this review, let me summarize its pros and cons, so you can clearly see an overview of what it offers.

Pros:
- Available worldwide
- The app works on both Android and iOS devices

Cons:
- Low rewards
- The app is not user-friendly
- Doesn’t provide good support
In case it’s not quite clear yet, Freeplay is not an app I would recommend you use because it has very low earning potential. It also doesn’t help that it is not user-friendly.
You are better off investing your time in sites and apps with good earning potential. For a list of great options, I recommend you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead. The sites and apps on this list all have good earning potential, so you can quickly earn a significant amount.
All of the options on this list are also user-friendly and provide good support.
