If you enjoy playing mobile games, the idea of getting paid for it can sound very appealing.

Tester Buddy is a platform that claims you can earn real money by testing and playing games. But the big question is, can you really rely on it, or is it one of those sites that just looks good on the surface?

Before you sign up for Tester Buddy, it’s important to understand exactly how it works and what kind of earning opportunities it offers. That way, you’ll know upfront how much effort it takes to cash out.

Option 1 – Playing Games

The main way to earn from Tester Buddy is by playing games. When you log in to the member dashboard, you can view all the games you can play by clicking the “Games” link on the left side of the dashboard.

To start playing, click the game you want to play. It will then show you a QR code you’ll need to scan with your phone. When you do so, it will open a mobile web browser, and it will ask you to log in to Tester Buddy on your phone.

After this step, you will be able to install the mobile game on your phone. Once that’s done, you can start playing the game to earn rewards. You can skip the QR code step by logging in to the Tester Buddy dashboard on your mobile phone.

Now, while playing the game, you’ll earn a certain number of coins per minute. Be aware, though, that the longer you keep playing the game, the fewer coins you will receive. Aside from that, you can only earn a set number of coins from a game.

When that number is reached, you must play a different game to continue earning rewards. The number of games available depends on where you live. Later, I will discuss which countries it is available in.

It’s a straightforward process. You keep playing until you won’t earn any more coins, or if the number of coins you can earn becomes significantly less than when you first started playing. That’s the best way to be efficient in earning from Tester Buddy, in my opinion.

Option 2 – Achievements

Another way you can earn rewards is by unlocking achievements. You can usually do this if you just keep playing the featured games.

When I tested the site, there was only one achievement I could unlock (refer to the photo above), and that was for playing 5 games. If I manage to do that, I will receive $5 as a reward. It’s a decent reward, in my opinion, and you will eventually unlock it if you just keep being an active member.

You can also unlock more achievements the longer you keep using the site.

Option 3 – Referral Program

Lastly, you can earn additional rewards from its referral program. All you have to do is share your referral link with the person you want to invite.

When they click the link and sign up as a member of Tester Buddy, they will become your referral. As a reward, you’ll receive 3,600 coins.

It’s not a very high reward, but I like the fact that your referral doesn’t have to do anything else for you to receive the reward.

However, Tester Buddy isn’t really something I would recommend to my friends, and later, you will know why.

How do you get paid?

The coins that you’ve collected from playing games and inviting other people to join can be used to redeem PayPal cash. This was the only payout option available when I tested the site.

As shown in the photo above, you can redeem PayPal cash once you’ve earned at least 6,999 coins, which is equivalent to $1. It’s a very low payout threshold, but the number of coins required is a bit high, in my opinion.

As a result, it can still take some time before you can reach this threshold and withdraw your earnings (more on this later). Overall, I would say its payout system is quite simple. I like the fact that it offers a convenient payout method like PayPal.

How much money can you make?

I will tell you right now that the amount you can earn from Tester Buddy won’t be a lot. At first glance, it might look like you can earn a good amount from every game you play.

For example, when I tested the site, there was a featured game that offered a total reward of $30, but what it doesn’t tell you is the amount of time it will take to earn that amount. If you are going to convert that to coins, it will be roughly 98,000 coins, which is quite a lot.

Now, that game said you could earn 30 coins per minute of playing. If you want to earn the maximum amount from that game, you’d have to play it for more than 3,000 minutes or around 54 hours (give or take). That’s quite a long time to earn just $30, which is why I would say its time-to-money ratio is quite low.

In my opinion, you are better off spending that amount of time on websites with higher earning potential. Aside from that, there aren’t many games featured, so the earning opportunities are a bit limited.

Can you use it on mobile?

Tester Buddy doesn’t have a mobile app you can download, but the website is mobile-friendly. So, you can log in to the dashboard and conveniently navigate it using your phone.

This can be quite useful since you will have to use your phone at some point because you’ll have to play a mobile game. In my opinion, the user experience it provides is not that bad. Plus, you won’t encounter any annoying pop-up ads while using it.

I can’t say the same for the games you must play, though.

Who can join Tester Buddy?

Technically speaking, you can sign up as a member of Tester Buddy anywhere in the world. However, it is only really available in certain countries, namely:

So, if you don’t live in any of the countries mentioned above, you will not find any opportunities to earn when you log in to the member dashboard.

The registration process is quite simple. You just fill out the sign-up form, and you are good to go. Once you are done registering, you can log in and start earning.

Can you get support?
