Vanson Bourne Community Review (Full Details + Rating)

Vanson Bourne Community Rating

Vanson Bourne Community isn’t really one of the best survey sites. While their surveys pay a decent amount, the lack of reward options offered and the limited earning opportunities available really doesn’t make it a reliable way to earn extra cash.

If you are looking for an easy way to earn extra cash, one of the best ways to do that is to join a survey site.

Vanson Bourne Community is one of the many sites that claim you can earn as a member of their panel.

But is Vanson Bourne Community legit and really a way to earn, or is it just another scam?

I have joined this survey panel and tested it myself, and have compared it to the hundreds of other survey sites I have tried out.

In this review, I will explain everything the site has to offer so you will know exactly what it has to offer and if it is truly worth joining or not.

What is Vanson Bourne Community, and what does it offer?

Let's start by the name to avoid any confusion. Vanson Bourne Community used to be called Vanson Bourne Business Panel.

It has now changed its name and also, in that connection, completely updated its website and added some more options. But whether you hear about Vanson Bourne Business Panel (or VB Business Panel for short) or Vason Bourne Community, it is the same panel.

The official name is now just Community, and that is what I will be using in the test of this review. It is a survey site that comprises UK IT and business professionals. Their aim is to contribute to the global technology sector through online market research.

It is indeed a legit survey platform since Vanson Bourne Community really will reward you for answering their surveys. Now, the question is, is this site a good fit for you or not?

To answer that, we first have to take a look at the earning opportunities it offers so you will understand how it works and you can properly gauge if this is worth it or not. So, here’s how you can earn from this survey panel.

Option 1 – Paid Surveys

The primary way to earn rewards from the Vanson Bourne Community is to participate in their paid surveys. When I first tested it, it didn't have a member dashboard you can log in to. But now they have a member dashboard you can log in to answer the surveys.

So, to answer surveys, just log in to the dashboard and click any of the surveys available. You'll also receive an email if there are surveys you are invited to.

When you receive a survey invite from Vanson Bourne, you’ve already qualified for the survey. So, you don’t have to go through a qualification process like you normally do with most survey sites.

The downside is that for survey sites that use this kind of system, you don’t receive a lot of invites, in my experience. So, don’t expect to receive many survey invites from this panel.

On the bright side, it’s a bit more time-saving since you don’t have to answer qualifying questions. When you complete a survey, you will receive a certain number of credits. Then, you will be asked to exchange the credits you’ve earned (I will later discuss the complete process regarding their reward redemption).

Then, from time to time, Vanson Bourne Community will also share the results of the survey you participated in through a different email. This is something I found as a unique aspect of their surveys since not all panels do this.

In fact, one of the only other survey panels I have seen do this is YouGov. So, if you want to know the general results of the surveys you participate in, you will appreciate this feature of their survey panel.

As for the types of surveys you will receive, they will usually be related to the IT sector. So, expect to receive computer or technology-related surveys. The length of their surveys will also vary. Some surveys will only take a few minutes to complete, while some will take longer. Of course, the longer surveys will reward more than the shorter surveys.

Option 2 – Research Activities

Aside from paid surveys, Vanson Bourne Community will also invite you to participate in other research activities as long as you’ve indicated that you are willing to participate in these activities during registration (I will talk about how to register as a member later).

From time to time, you will be invited to participate in other research activities so you can earn more rewards.

As you can see in the photo above, there are various other research activities you can participate in, like online or in-person focus groups, one-on-one interviews, and more. You will receive an invite for this kind of opportunity via email.

However, during my testing, I never received an invite for this kind of earning opportunity, which is expected because this isn’t really a very common opportunity. Consider yourself lucky if you ever get invited to participate in any of these activities.

I can’t personally say how much you will earn from this opportunity, but according to their website, it can be anywhere from £75-£150 per task.

So it pays quite well, but it will also require some effort.

How do you get paid?

As mentioned earlier, you will earn a certain number of credits for every survey or research activity you participate in. Then, after completing the survey, you will be asked if you want to redeem your rewards.

As for the rewards you can redeem, you only have two options. You can either convert your credits to an Amazon gift card or you can donate it to any of the charities they support.

You can use your credits to redeem an Amazon gift card.

As for the minimum points required to redeem a gift card or make a donation, that will be 500 points (10 credits), which are equivalent to £5. Their threshold is relatively low; however, their reward options are quite limited.

If you are looking to earn cash, then this is not the site for you. I would instead suggest you check out the top sites that pay via PayPal.

How much money can you make?

The amount you can earn from a survey site will mostly depend on how often you can complete surveys. However, you don’t have control of this. And based on what I experienced during testing, their surveys are few and far between.

So, this site isn’t actually something you can depend on for earning on a regular basis. But as for the amount you can earn per survey, they actually pay a decent amount (usually around 10 credits or £5).

That kind of makes up for the limited opportunities it offers. But overall, I would still say the earning potential of the Vanson Bourne Community is quite low because there really aren’t just a lot of opportunities to earn.

Can you use it on mobile?

The good thing about the site is that you can use it on mobile, which is a good thing since you don’t have to sit in front of a computer to earn.

Their site is mobile-friendly, so expect the surveys offered will also be mobile-friendly. But as for the other research activities you can participate in, these will either have to be done in person in their office or with a laptop or desktop (if it is an online focus group or discussion). So, using a mobile device for those opportunities will not be an option.

Who can join the Vanson Bourne Community?

While you will be able to register as a member of this panel anywhere in the world, Vanson Bourne Community is only available in the UK. Plus, you also have to be at least 18 years of age to join.

how to join vanson bourne business panel
To become a member of their panel, you will have to answer their registration survey first.

To sign up as a member, you just have to click the Register button and provide the necessary information. Then, Vanson Bourne Community will send an email containing the link to their registration survey. Just click the link and answer the survey.

This is the part where you have to indicate the other types of research activities you are willing to participate in. As I’ve mentioned earlier, make sure to indicate the activities that you want to be involved with.

If you fail to indicate any research activity, you won’t receive any invites. Once you are done with the survey, you will get a message that says your application will be under review. So, unlike other survey sites, you don’t get to start earning right after signing up.

Typically, it will take around a week before you will hear back from them regarding your application. It will be done via email. So, make sure to check your email inbox from time to time when after you sign up.

Also, be aware that it is a business panel, so during the registration, you are asked to share a link to your LinkedIn profile + your company address. If you do not share this, you will likely not be accepted.

Can you get support?

The FAQ page of the Vanson Bourne Community is fairly limited. But it has improved a lot since I first tested it.

But if you have any questions in mind, you might not find the answers on their FAQ page. If that is the case, then you will have to get in touch with their support team via email.

You can email them at vbpanel@vansonbourne.com, or you can call them at 01635 550449 if you really need to talk to a support representative immediately. Overall, while their FAQ page needs some work, in my opinion, I would still say they have a decent support system in place.

That’s because they offer a couple of convenient ways for you to get in touch with their support team.

However, I have been in contact with them myself, and it has not always been easy to get a reply. I have tried to get a fast reply, but I have also tried not to hear back. So, in my experience, the support could be more consistent.

Final Verdict

Vanson Bourne Community is a legit survey site that will reward you for answering their surveys and participating in their occasional research activities. It has a couple of good features, but it also has a few limitations you need to bear in mind.

Let me end this review with a summary of its pros and cons so you can get an overview of what the site has to offer. Then, you can decide if you should really sign up or not.

pros

Pros:

  • Offers a simple way to earn
  • Their site is mobile-friendly
  • Their surveys pay a decent amount
cons

Cons:

  • Limited earning opportunities
  • Limited reward options
  • Their registration process requires a bit of time to complete

Vanson Bourne Community, in my opinion, isn’t one of the best survey sites. While their surveys pay a decent amount, the lack of reward options offered and the limited earning opportunities available don’t make it a reliable way to earn extra cash.

There are simply far better survey sites available you can join if you are looking to earn extra cash. But if you are looking for a survey panel that is catering specifically to the technology industry, then this can be an option for you. Just don’t expect to earn a lot from it.

But if you are just looking for a good way to earn extra cash, I would recommend you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead. The sites on this list all have good earning potential, and you will be able to start earning immediately after you sign up.

Plus, you will find a site you can join regardless of where you live.
