Benjamin is a mobile app that claims you can earn money by playing games. Over the years, I have tested hundreds of apps that make the same claim, so I know, based on experience, that not all of them are legit and worth it.
Now, the question is, is Benjamin legit or a scam?
That’s what you are about to find out in this Benjamin app review. Aside from that, it will also reveal the full details of what the app is all about so you will know exactly what to expect from it before installing it.
Then, you can find out if it is worth your time or not. So, let’s dive in.
What is Benjamin, and what does it offer?
Benjamin is a Get-Paid-To (GPT) app that will reward you for playing games, answering surveys, and more. And yes, it is legit since you can really earn rewards from it.
However, that doesn’t necessarily translate to an app worth using. To find out if you should install it, you must first understand how it works. The best way to do that is to examine the earning opportunities it offers so you will have an idea of how well you can earn from it and how much time you must invest.
So, here’s how to earn from Benjamin.
Option 1 – Playing Games
One way to earn from Benjamin is by playing games. There are two ways you can earn from this opportunity. You can earn per minute you play the game or through achievements.
The first method is much simpler since you just have to play a game and earn rewards every minute. However, you must bear in mind that with this method, you will earn fewer rewards the longer you keep playing a certain game.
This is to be expected since this is how it usually works with this kind of earning opportunity. Apps and sites do this to encourage members to try out different games.
The other method takes a little more time but also pays better than the first method. The idea is to play a game and reach certain achievements like reaching a certain level or completing a certain mission.
When playing a game, you will be asked to download and install it on your device. Then, you must open the game from Benjamin’s menu and not directly from your phone’s menu because that’s how the app can track how long you’ve been playing the game or if you’ve hit a certain achievement.
If you open the game directly from your phone’s menu, you will not earn any reward while playing. So, make sure to remember that when working on this opportunity.
There are a good number of games you can choose from at any given time. Plus, compared to many other apps that offer the same kind of earning opportunities, Benjamin pays more.
Option 2 – Paid Surveys
From time to time, you can also earn additional rewards by answering surveys. Just log in to the app and you will immediately see if there are available surveys you can answer.
When answering a survey, you’ll have to go through a qualifying process, which is pretty standard for online surveys. Apps and sites do this to figure out if you are included in the target demographic of the survey.
If you qualify, you get to answer the survey. If you fail to qualify, you just move on to the next survey available. However, there are not a lot of surveys available, so it’s hard to earn from this opportunity regularly.
Option 3 – Watching Ads/Daily Login Bonus
You can earn additional rewards by watching ads or by claiming their daily login bonus. While using the app, pop-up video ads will appear from time to time, which can be quite annoying, in my opinion.
To earn, you just have to wait for the ad to finish playing. Once that happens, you can collect a small amount as a reward. When claiming your daily login bonus, you’ll also have to watch a video ad first.
This is an effortless way to earn, and I was a bit surprised that it pays more than most other GPT sites that offer the same kind of earning opportunity.
Option 4 – Cashback Offers
You can also earn more rewards from Benjamin's cashback offers. To do so, you must log in to the app and go to the Cashback section to view all the available cashback offers.
What you must remember with this opportunity is that you must link your credit/debit card to the app. Then, every time you use that credit/debit card when making a purchase, you’ll earn a cashback reward, which will usually be around 0.1% of the transaction.
It’s a small rate, but it doesn’t require a lot of effort on your end to earn. Just use your credit/debit card like you normally would, and you’ll earn cashback rewards. The cashback rate will also increase when you keep earning cashback rewards. The highest cashback rate you can get will be 0.16%, which is a decent rate, in my opinion.
Option 5 – Referral Program
Lastly, you can earn rewards from its referral program. All you must do is share your referral code with the person you want to invite. Then, when they sign up as a member, they must input your referral code. When that happens, they will become your referral.
However, before you can earn the referral reward, your referral must earn at least $6 from the app. Once this requirement is met, both you and your referral will receive $6 each as a reward. It’s a decent way to earn additional rewards, but you must make sure the people you invite are really interested in earning from Benjamin. Otherwise, you won’t earn anything from this opportunity.

How do you get paid?
All the earning opportunities Benjamin offers will reward you with a certain amount, and it will be credited to your Benjamin account balance. Now, the question is, how can you withdraw your earnings?
Well, you have the option to convert them to various gift cards or you can withdraw them directly to your checking account. For the latter, you will have to go through a verification process. You’ll need to submit a photo of your driver’s license (or any government-issued ID) before you can withdraw your earnings.
For gift cards, you don’t need to go through a verification process. The threshold you need to hit to withdraw your earnings is quite high – $25. This, in my opinion, is the biggest drawback of Benjamin. It can take some time before you can hit the threshold to withdraw your earnings.
If you prefer sites and apps with a low payout threshold, I suggest you check out the fastest-paying sites instead.
How much money can you make?
The amount you can earn from Benjamin will depend on how active you are on the app. As you can see, it does offer a good number of opportunities to earn, so you won’t run out of ways to earn.
You can usually earn up to $6 per game and $1 to $2 per survey, which are decent rates, in my opinion. Now, that $6 rate only applies to the achievement mode of playing games. If you’re just playing and earning rewards per minute you play a game, the reward will be significantly lower.
Plus, earning from the achievement mode can take a bit of time because some achievements will require a long play time, based on what I observed while testing. This is why Benjamin's time-to-money ratio is still not that great, in my opinion. You’ll still have to invest a lot of time to hit the threshold.
Overall, I would say its earning potential isn’t that great, even though it pays better than most other apps that will let you earn by playing games.
Can you use it on a desktop?
Benjamin is a mobile-only app, so you won’t be able to earn from it on your laptop or desktop. As for the app, it is available for download on both Android and iOS devices.
The app is relatively easy to use, but as mentioned earlier, you will encounter pop-up ads while using it, which can be a bit annoying, in my opinion. The good thing is that, as explained earlier, you will earn a small reward from the ads that will pop up.
Who can join Benjamin?
Benjamin is only available in the US, so if you live somewhere else, then this is not for you. If you are interested in more sites and apps that are available in the US, I recommend you check out the top survey sites in the US as well.
To sign up, you must install the app first. Then, when you open the app for the first time, you’ll have to go through the sign-up process, which is relatively straightforward. You can sign up using your Google or Apple account. You can also create your username and password.
After registering, you can log in to the app and start earning.
Can you get support?
If you have questions about the app or your account, you can check out the FAQ section on their website or the app. It discusses most of the basic topics you need to know about Benjamin.
If you can’t find the answers you need, you can contact support instead. You can do so through the app, or you can email them directly at support@benjaminone.com.
Overall, I would say it does provide decent support to its members since it offers a couple of ways for you to get in touch with their support team.
Final Verdict
Benjamin is a legit GPT app that will reward you for playing games, answering surveys, and more. It has a couple of decent features, but it also has a few drawbacks you must consider.
Let me wrap up this review by summarizing its pros and cons so you can get a clear overview of what it offers. Then, you can decide if it is truly worth using or not.
Pros:
- Has a decent number of earning opportunities
- Offers cash rewards
Cons:
- High payout threshold
- You’ll encounter pop-up ads while using it
Benjamin is a decent GPT app, in my opinion. However, its main drawback is its high payout threshold. This is what prevents it from being a great app to earn from. Even though it has a good number of earning opportunities, you’ll still have to invest a lot of time to earn a decent amount from it.
So, I would only recommend you join if you need an additional app to earn from. Now, if you are looking for primary sites/apps to earn from, I suggest you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead.
The apps and sites on this list all have better earning potential compared to Benjamin, so you can earn a decent amount quickly. Plus, you will definitely find a site or app you can join regardless of where you live.
If you have any comments, questions, or experience with Benjamin, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.
Hi….I am thinking of joining Benjamine, but after thoroughly attempting to read & understand their terms of use, decided to check it out a bit further & found your review, so thank you very much for your candid comments. I admit I am a senior citizen and not up to par on all the advancing technology but am also rather paranoid about privacy. We dont have much left in this day & age. I may be totally wrong but it looks to me that by linking my credit union debit card to Benjamin, I would be giving them and the Plaid service TOTAL access to EVERY single transaction in my account: all deposits, all purchases, auto payments of monthly bills, etc, etc, etc. Perhaps even to my savings or any investment or loan accounts that are all tied into my one single member account number. Also to linked accounts my credit union allows between a couple of small (for family reasons) bank accounts I still have open in other states I have lived in. So whenever I open my local account, I am able to see every account balance, plus every ongoing daily transaction I make and therefore they would also have to be seeing everything I can see, hin order to decide what items they can pay me rewards for???? I don’t think so!!!! I am not rich, have only Soc. Sec. & a small retirement, am not doing anything illegal or trying to hide anything. My life is pretty much an open book, but I do not feel comfortable opening up ALL OF MY FINANCIAL PICTURE to Benjamin & Plaid no matter how secure they say they are. There are far too many security breeches constantly going on with companies that supposedly had great security. I did download the App but have not joined so am going to delete it. What few dollars I might earn are not worth all the prying eyes.??
I definitely understand your concerns. Thanks for sharing.
Trying to get paid for games is hard. I got to $24.46 and now I am not getting paid for levels I have completed. I think they
It seems your comment was cut of so cannot see all of it.
Very hard to earn money
Yes, there are many better ways, as I also explain in the review above.
