Is Jet Opinions Legit or a Scam? (Not for Everybody)

Jet Opinions Rating

Jet Opinions is a legit survey site. But, it is not for everybody. This survey panel is exclusive for TrueBlue members. So if you are not a member of this, it is not a panel for you.

Jet Opinions is a survey site that claims to reward you for answering surveys.

But is Jet Opinions legit and really a way to earn by sharing your opinion? Or is it a scam?

Well, let me just reveal right away that this survey site is quite different from other survey sites you've encountered, and I will explain why later.

And let me also just say now, no, it is not a scam. It is definitely a legit survey site.

But this doesn't automatically mean you should sign up and become a member right away. You need to figure out first if this site is really what you are looking for and that is likely to earn a decent amount of money.

This Jet Opinions review will examine all the aspects of this survey site so you can decide whether this site is indeed for you or not.

What is Jet Opinions, and what does it offer?

As mentioned above, Jet Opinions is a survey site that will reward you for completing their surveys. But as I've said, it's a bit different than the usual survey sites you encounter. It used to be called PointsForSurveys but has since rebranded.

This survey site was created exclusively for TrueBlue members. If you are not familiar with the TrueBlue program, it is the frequent flyer program of the airline JetBlue Airways (hence the new name).

So, if you are not a member of the TrueBlue program, then I hate to disappoint you, but you won't be able to join this panel.

However, TrueBlue is free to sign up for, so if you think Jet Opinions sounds interesting, you can easily become a member of TrueBlue.

So, here's a closer look at how you will be able to earn rewards from this survey panel.

The earning opportunity – Paid Surveys

The way it structures its panel is pretty straightforward. To earn rewards, you simply have to answer their online surveys.

points for surveys paid surveys
Earn TrueBlue points for completing surveys.

As you can see in the photo above, they conduct paid surveys to help other organizations and businesses improve their products and services.

In return for spending a few minutes of your time, they will reward you for each survey you complete.

Once you finish the registration process, you can log in to their member dashboard and see all the available surveys you can take. You will also receive an invite email if there are any available surveys you can take.

If there is an available survey, when you click on it, it will redirect you to a page you might think is the actual survey. It is, in fact, the pre-qualifying section of their survey.

Jet Opinions uses a pre-qualifying process where they ask you several questions to check whether you are indeed included in the demographic the survey is targeting.

Once they determine you are qualified for the survey, you can then proceed to the actual survey. What's good about this process is that you won't have to waste your time answering a survey you won't get rewarded with.

That's because you will know right away if you are qualified or not. This saves time and will allow you to move on to the next available survey.

When you complete the survey, you will be awarded points (as the name of their site suggests). You can then use these points to redeem rewards, which I will talk about next.

How do you get paid?

If you were expecting to earn real money from it, then you will be disappointed. Unfortunately, they don't offer that kind of reward.

points for surveys rewards
You can use TrueBlue points to book flights for free.

As I've mentioned, it is quite unique because it caters to a specific market. The market I'm talking about is the people who frequently travel via JetBlue Airways.

You already know that when you complete a survey, you will be awarded points. The points you will get won't be reflected in your account, but will instead be reflected into your TrueBlue account.

Think of this survey site as an additional way for you to earn TrueBlue points.

As you can see in the photo above, you can then use the points you've accumulated to book flights or other amenities you can avail of with TrueBlue points.

Just to make it clear, to redeem the points, you have to log in to the TrueBlue platform and not the Jet Opinions site.

All in all, it's a pretty huge bonus if you are a TrueBlue member because you can accumulate points without having to book a flight.

But if you are looking for survey sites that will allow you to earn money even if you are not a member of some other program, I suggest you check out the top survey sites that pay via PayPal.

The survey sites on this list will allow you to withdraw your earnings conveniently.

How much money can you make?

Obviously, if we are talking about real money, you won't be able to earn from this site.

But if you are a TrueBlue member (or decide to become one), you stand to earn a decent amount because you will be able to save a good amount when you book your next flight.

This will depend, though, on how many surveys you will be invited to answer, the number of surveys you actually complete, and the number of points you will get for each survey completed.

points for surveys invite frequency
It has a high survey invite frequency.

As you can see in the photo above, they mention they send surveys on a regular basis. This is good, in my opinion. This, at least, ensures you will be able to rack up points on a regular basis.

This doesn't mean, though, that you will be able to complete plenty of surveys because, remember, you have to qualify first before you can actually take the survey.

Based on feedback from members, the survey invitations are quite frequent, but the disqualification rate is quite high. So, you will really have to be patient if you want to earn a lot of points.

As for the number of points you get for completing a survey, unfortunately, there isn't any info on their website about the usual number of points you get for each survey.

Overall, though, the fact that you get survey invites on a regular basis makes it a good choice because it significantly impacts the earning potential of the site.

And if you keep answering surveys, you will eventually be able to earn enough points to either book a flight without having to pay a single cent or significantly reduce the cost of the flight you will book.

Can you use it on mobile?

jet opinions mobile

Being able to answer surveys on a mobile device will allow you to become a much more efficient earner. This is because you can get to the survey offers immediately.

However, there is no mention on their website about a Jet Opinions app you can download on your mobile device.

You will be able to access their website on a mobile device, though, using a mobile web browser. The problem is that the mobile version of their site isn't optimized for mobile use.

You will have to scroll left and right or zoom in and out just to read all the content.

So, if you want to answer surveys on a mobile device, you will have to be extra patient when scrolling and zooming.

It's a very inconvenient way, in my opinion. Normally, most popular survey sites have websites that are optimized for mobile use because they have recognized that more and more people are doing this on mobile devices.

For Jet Opinions not to recognize this shows that they are a bit out of touch with today's trends, which, in my opinion, is not a good sign.

Who can join Jet Opinions?

The main qualification for joining their survey panel is that you have to be a TrueBlue member as well.

how to join jet opinions
You have to provide your TrueBlue account number when registering.

As you can see, right from the start, they will ask you to provide your TrueBlue number. So, if you don't have one, you won't be able to register.

You also have to be a US resident to qualify as a member. As for the age requirement, you will have to refer to the age requirement of the TrueBlue program.

As you can see, if you can't register for a TrueBlue account, you won't be able to register for Jet Opinions.

All in all, it is a pretty exclusive survey panel.

Can you get support?

Jet Opinions has a pretty decent support system in place. It has an FAQ section, and as shown in the photo below, it also provides you a contact form you can use to send your questions.

Their FAQ section is decent because it covers most of the questions you will be asking. However, it missed quite a few, though, specifically the number of points you get for completing a survey.

This is a very important piece of information because you will be able to gauge the earning potential of this site through the help of that information.

The contact form they provide isn't very accessible, though. In order to get to that form, you have to go to the FAQ section and click the button on the upper right that says “Submit A Question”.

Normally, websites use a Contact Us page to house their contact form.

It's little things like this that make the user experience better, which can go a whole lot into providing an incentive to become a member of their panel.

They don't have any social media pages you can visit. So, if you are expecting to talk to their support representative through that kind of platform, you will be disappointed.

Final Verdict

Jet Opinions is a legit survey site that rewards you for completing the surveys they offer. It is, however, a pretty exclusive survey site.

So, let's finish this review with a summary of its pros and cons to help you decide if this site is indeed for you or not.

pros

Pros:

  • Frequency of survey invites is quite high
  • The process of answering surveys and receiving rewards is pretty straightforward
cons

Cons:

  • You won't be able to earn real money
  • You have to be a TrueBlue member to join their panel
  • Earning potential is pretty low
  • Disqualification rate for surveys is quite high

As I've said, it is not for everybody. If you manage to become a member, though, this can be a decent supplement for piling up TrueBlue points, which you can then use to book free flights.

You do have to be patient because it has a high disqualification rate for surveys.

If you are into survey sites that pay real money, I suggest you check out the top survey sites in your country instead.

All the survey sites on this list won't require you to be a member of a specific program to register. Plus, all of them are known to provide good offers, so you can earn regularly.

  1. After being a member and participating in surveys for 6 years, my account was flagged and a few days later I was notified by a generic email that account was terminated because I either had multiple accounts or have been providing inaccurate responses to survey questions. Since I respond to all surveys with honest and accurate answers I asked for clarification of why account was terminated but email answer was that such information could not be shared. Since I do not like to be falsely accused of misdeeds I would like to know exactly what caused my account termination. Just curious

    • This is definitely frustrating. Was it your PointsForSurveys account that got terminated?

Unfortunately, if the platform does want to give more info there is not much to do even though it is very frustrating.
