AI training platforms have become increasingly popular because they promise to pay people for contributing data instead of completing traditional surveys or microtasks.
Numo is one of the newest platforms to enter this space, and the idea certainly sounds appealing. You simply complete short AI-related tasks, and you get paid for your contributions.
But before you sign up, you need to understand exactly how it works, how you earn, and whether it is already a reliable option. In this Numo review, I'll explain everything it offers so you can decide if it is worth joining or if you should look for other earning opportunities instead.
So, let’s get started.
What is Numo Labs, and what does it offer?
Numo is an AI data collection platform that pays members for contributing voice recordings and other language-based data used to train artificial intelligence models. And yes, it is indeed legit, because you can really earn from the opportunities it offers.
But the question is, is it worth it? The best way to find out is to understand how it works. And to do so, we must take a closer look at the earning opportunities it offers, so you will have a clear idea of how much time and effort are needed to earn.
So, here’s how you can earn from Numo Labs.
Option 1 – Tasks
The main way to earn from Numo Labs is by working on completing AI data collection tasks. Once you become a member of the site, you will see all the tasks available when you log in to the member dashboard.

As you can see in the photo above, most of the tasks will involve recording your voice. Most of these tasks will ask you to read prompts aloud and record them using your phone (or even your computer).
There will also be tasks that will ask you to submit specific documents. These tasks are a bit rare, and to be honest, they are a bit intrusive. When I tested the website, I encountered a task that asked me to submit a copy of my diploma for my bachelor’s degree.
I’m not sure what they would need that for, but it’s not really something I’m comfortable sharing with the platform. So, you also have to be critical of the things you have to do to earn.
After completing the task, you just have to submit the required files. Then, Numo will review your submission. Once you do that, you’ll receive 15% of the reward promised.
Once Numo finishes reviewing your submission and everything is up to par, you’ll receive the remaining 85% of the reward. Later, I will discuss how you can withdraw your earnings.
The earning process is relatively simple, but since most tasks involve recording audio, you need to make sure you have a quiet place to do so. This is the most important thing to remember about this opportunity.
If there’s too much background noise or the recording quality is poor, your submission will be rejected, and you will not receive the remaining 85% of the reward promised for the task.
Option 2 – Referral Program
The other way to earn rewards from Numo is through its referral program. All you have to do is invite people to join Numo Labs by sharing your invite link.

When they click the link and sign up as a member, they will become your referral. As a reward, you’ll receive a 10% commission every time your referral completes a task.
It’s an easy way to earn passively, but you must invite people who are really interested in earning from the site. Otherwise, this opportunity won’t be profitable.

How do you get paid?
Numo Labs' payout system is relatively straightforward. It uses Stripe as its payment gateway, which means you can withdraw your earnings directly to your bank account.
As for the payout threshold you need to reach to withdraw your earnings via Stripe, it's $25, which is quite high in my opinion. Aside from that, payments will also only be processed quarterly.
This means you’ll have to wait at least three months to receive your earnings, which is quite a long wait, in my opinion. So, Numo Labs will check your earnings every quarter, and if it reaches $25, they will process the payment automatically.
It’s a simple process, but the high threshold and long wait time are a bit of an issue for me. If you prefer sites that pay quickly, I suggest you check out the fastest paying sites instead.
How much money can you make?
Numo doesn't have a fixed pay rate. Instead, each task displays its reward before you start.
The problem is that you won’t exactly know how much you’ll earn per task. All it will say is that it offers Medium or High Payout, which is not ideal, in my opinion.
They do say that the amount you can earn per task depends on several factors, including:
- The type of task
- Current demand
- Whether your submission passes quality review
As for the availability of tasks, there aren’t that many, based on what I observed during my testing. Aside from that, most audio recording tasks will involve speaking in a non-English language, so you might have a hard time finding tasks to work on.
The site does incentivize people who become active contributors. They will increase your pay rate multiplier if you meet certain requirements (such as reaching 100 verified submissions). It’s a nice way to boost your earnings, but you will have to be patient, because hitting these requirements won’t be quick and easy.
Overall, I would say its earning potential isn’t that great, mainly because of the type of tasks available. You will have a hard time finding generic tasks you will be eligible for. At least, that’s what I experienced when I was exploring the platform.

Can you use it on mobile?
Numo doesn’t have a mobile app you can download, but the member dashboard is optimized for mobile, so you can work on tasks on your phone. This can be quite convenient, especially if you are working on audio recording tasks.
You won’t have to buy a microphone and install recording software on your computer to earn. You can just use your phone. But first, you must make sure you are in a quiet room when recording.
Who can join Numo Labs?
The website doesn’t tell you exactly which countries it is available in, but from what I can see, it is available globally. So, you can register as a member regardless of where you live.
However, most tasks require you to speak a specific language, and from what I’ve observed, they are languages spoken in Southeast Asia (Malay, Indonesian, Tamil, etc.). So you might have a hard time finding tasks for yourself if you live elsewhere.

To sign up as a member, you can either use your Google account or your email address. The process will take less than a minute to do, and once you are done, you can log in to the member dashboard and start working on tasks.
Can you get support?
If you have questions about the site, you can check out the FAQ section. You can access it through the link found in the Wallet section of the member dashboard.
It discusses most of the basic topics you need to know. If you can’t find the answers you need, you can contact the support department via email. You can submit your inquiries via email to info@numolabs.ai.
Overall, I would say it provides the minimum required support to its members, as it offers a convenient way to ask for help.
Final Verdict
Numo Labs is a legit AI training platform that lets you earn by completing tasks. It has some decent features, but it also has some drawbacks you need to consider.
To help you with your decision, here’s a summary of its pros and cons, so you can clearly get an overview of what it offers.

Pros:
- Offers an interesting way to earn
- Uses a convenient payout method

Cons:
- Limited earning opportunities
- High payout threshold
- Long wait time to receive earnings
In my opinion, Numo Labs is not a bad site to earn by training AI. However, it also isn’t that good. Its biggest drawback, in my opinion, is the long wait time to withdraw your earnings. The fact that you can only withdraw your earnings every quarter is just not ideal.
Many other sites offer faster ways to get paid. It also doesn’t help that there are a limited number of earning opportunities available, so you won’t be able to earn regularly from it.
If you prefer easier ways to earn extra cash, I suggest you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead. The sites and apps on this list all have good earning potential, so you can quickly earn a significant amount.
Plus, all of the sites and apps on this list will let you withdraw your earnings quickly. You won’t have to wait several months to receive your earnings.
