If you have been looking for ways to earn some extra money online, you may have come across Opinionest. It claims you can get paid to share your opinions through online surveys.
But is Opinionest actually legit and worth your time, or is it just another site making big promises it can't keep?
I have tested hundreds of survey sites over the years, and I can tell you that the quality varies enormously. Some are genuinely great ways to earn a little extra cash on the side, while others are a complete waste of your time, and many are outright scams.
So, when I came across Opinionest, I decided to dig in and test it properly before giving you my verdict. In this Opinionest review, I will give you an inside look and show what the site offers, how much you can realistically earn, how the payout process works, and where it is available.
I will also give you a clear breakdown of the pros and cons so you can decide for yourself whether it is worth signing up for. So, let's get into it.
What is Opinionest, and what does it offer?
Opinionest is a survey site that lets you earn rewards by answering surveys. And in case you are wondering, YES, it is indeed legit, because you can really earn rewards from it.
However, that doesn’t necessarily mean it is worth your time. The only way to find out whether you should sign up for it is to understand how it works. And to do so, we must examine the earning opportunities it offers, so you will have a clear idea of how much time and effort you should invest in this site.
So, here’s how you can earn from Opinionest.
Option 1 – Paid Surveys
The primary way to earn rewards from Opinionest is by answering surveys. When you log in to the member dashboard, you can view all the surveys available by clicking on the Survey link. Then, you’ll see something similar to the photo below.

As you can see in the photo above, you will immediately see the reward you will earn for completing the survey. You will also see the estimated time it will take to complete the survey. Aside from that, you’ll also be given a general idea of what the survey is all about.
So, you can easily choose which surveys to prioritize. Now, when you click a survey, you’ll first have to answer the qualifying questions, which are designed to determine if you are the right person for the survey.
If you qualify, you get to answer the survey. If you don’t qualify, you just move on to the next survey available. When you complete a survey, you will receive the reward promised, which will be in the form of points.
Later, I will discuss what you can do with the points you’ve earned. As for the availability of surveys, based on what I observed while testing, it will mostly depend on your location. This is to be expected because this is how survey sites work.
In my experience, countries like the US, UK, and Canada usually have the most surveys, while smaller countries don’t have many. Later, I will discuss what this means.
Overall, it’s a relatively simple earning process. However, the biggest thing I noticed was that the survey questions can take a few seconds to load, so don’t be alarmed if you click the Next button and the question doesn’t appear yet. It can take a few seconds to load the question.
Option 2 – Referral Program
The other way to earn rewards from Opinionest is through its referral program. All you have to do is invite people to join the site by sharing your referral code or link.

If they click the link and sign up for Opinionest, they will become your referral. If you are going to use the referral code method, make sure to remind them to input your referral code after they sign up.
As long as any of the conditions are met, they will become your referral. When your referral completes their first survey, you will receive 300 points as a reward. For all subsequent surveys your referrals complete, you will also receive a 5% commission.
It’s not much, but it’s a way to earn passively. You just have to make sure you invite people who are interested in earning from Opinionest. Otherwise, this opportunity won’t let you earn rewards.

How do you get paid?
All the earning opportunities Opinionest offers will reward you with points. Now, the question is, what can you do with the points you’ve earned?
Well, you can use them to redeem various types of gift cards. The type of gift cards you can redeem will depend on the country you live in, so I can’t say exactly what type of gift cards you can redeem.
As for the threshold you must reach to redeem a reward, it will also depend on the reward you choose. When I was testing it, the lowest I could find was $2. The conversion rate is also unclear, and the website doesn’t explain exactly what their conversion rate is, but based on what I observed during testing, 100 points is roughly equivalent to $1.
It’s a fairly simple payout system, in my opinion, but the downside is that it doesn’t offer cash rewards. So, if you prefer to earn cash, I suggest you check out the top sites that pay via PayPal instead.
How much money can you make?
The amount you can earn from Opinionest will mostly depend on how many surveys you complete and the number of referrals you get. As explained earlier, the availability of surveys will mostly depend on your location, so you don’t really have control over how many surveys you can answer.
But if I were to compare it with more popular survey sites, it offers fewer surveys. So, don’t expect to earn regularly from it.
Now, the amount you can earn per survey also varies depending on where you live. The one thing I observed while testing was that you can usually earn around $1 to $1.5 for a survey that is around 15 minutes long.
If that rate is the same across all countries, then I would say its time-to-money ratio is pretty decent, which means its earning potential is not that bad. But keep in mind that you will not always qualify for a survey, so be patient.

Can you use it on mobile?
Opinionest doesn’t have a mobile app you can download, but its website is optimized for mobile use. So, you can answer surveys conveniently on your mobile phone.
It’s also easy to navigate, because there aren’t a lot of links you can click on. That being said, the user experience it provides isn’t great because some important information isn't shown on the website, such as its conversion rate.
It would have been better if they had explained clearly how their payout system works. That way, you don’t have to guess how much your points are really worth, and what kind of rewards you can redeem.
Who can join Opinionest?
The website doesn’t tell you exactly which countries it is available in, but from what I noticed while testing, it is available more or less worldwide. So, you should be able to sign up as a member regardless of where you live.

You can sign up using your Google, LinkedIn, or Apple account. You can also sign up using your email address. After registering, you can log in to the dashboard. However, before you can do anything else, you’ll have to complete your profile, so Opinionest can find out which surveys are a good fit for you.
One good thing about doing so is that you’ll earn additional points for completing your profile. You’ll earn 3 points per question. It’s not much, but at least you get something for your time.
After you’ve completed your profile, you can start answering surveys to earn rewards.
Can you get support?
Opinionest has an FAQ section you can check out if you have questions. However, it is of no help, in my opinion, because it doesn’t discuss most of the important topics you need to know.
So, if you have questions or concerns, you’ll most likely need to contact its support team to resolve them. Fortunately, they do have a contact form you can use to submit your questions.
That’s why, overall, I would say it provides only the minimum required support to its members, since it offers an easy way to contact support. I just wish their FAQ section would actually cover important topics to reduce the need to contact support.
Final Verdict
Opinionest is a survey site that lets you earn rewards by answering surveys. It has some decent features, but it also has certain limitations you should know about.
Let me wrap up this review by summarizing its pros and cons so you can get a clear overview of what it offers. Then, you can decide whether it is worth it or not.

Pros:
- Available worldwide
- Offers a simple way to earn rewards

Cons:
- Limited earning opportunities
- Low rewards
- Doesn’t offer cash rewards
Opinionest is not a bad survey site, in my opinion. However, it also doesn’t give you a good reason to use it. The earning opportunities are quite limited, and the rewards are a bit lower than on more popular survey sites.
So it will take a long time to earn a significant amount from it. It also doesn’t help that it doesn’t offer cash rewards. You are better off joining sites with better earning potential, in my opinion.
For a list of great options, I suggest you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead. The sites and apps on this list all have good earning potential, so you can quickly earn a significant amount.
Plus, most (if not all) of the sites and apps on this list all offer cash rewards as well.
